  1. Oblivion (Elder Scrolls IV) goes to the other extreme. You get to custom design your physique, especially your face, within the restrictions of your chosen race. True... That isn't a bad thing, though. In fact, that was probably one of my favorite things about the game. If you cbf, however, there was the basic look/randomizer too. More options are never a bad thing. Isn't that what makes a classic western RPG? More choices?
  2. I'm not sure there is a 'good' answer. A good answer would be in the eye of the beholder. As for 'the' answer, I would suggest you choose wisely as the talents / abilities alter game play. - SED Well, that's good to hear. =) I hear that in this multiplayer system, your friend can just pick up the controller and join in. Would you happen to know if he/she is forced to control the sidekick, or can he/she play as their own character that they created previously?
  3. To be honest I didn't mind the Ganth so much... Just requires a little bit of tactics. The only mob that really irritated me was the bugged level 45 skeletal archer that randomly spawned in the tombs in Dungeon Siege 2... Some of my builds could handle him, but some of my more passive ones (which I loved playing) had some troubles.
  4. This game has a different composer than the first two games... I won't expect to hear the old theme in this game, but damn I'de love for it to be there. =P
  5. I can already see how 252423423 number of reviews claim this is a DAO rip-off. I hope they release info on the MCA project soon More like a Sacred 2 ripoff. I agree... It wouldn't bother me much if there were at least 5 characters to choose from, but bye bye character customization. That's one aspect of Dungeon Siege I will miss (even if it was a bit limited). I doubt they will use the old leveling by weapon/magic used system, too. I have a feeling if you are the warrior, you will pretty much be doomed to use only melee weapons... but maybe I'm wrong. =)
  6. When I found out from you folks Jeremy Soule wouldn't be the main composer, I looked into the kind of music Tim Wynn does. Here you go. =) http://www.timwynn.net/listen-popup.html
  7. Diablo did that and it certainly wasn't designed with console in mind. Honestly, there are many reasons why potions are far from being the best health regeneration mechanic in Action RPGs, and 'consolization' is about the 4th or 5th that comes to mind. I gotta agree with that... If anything it has the potential to make combat more interesting, since you couldn't just guzzle potions and wade through countless enemies without having to worry like in the first two games... Then again, it could go either way if the enemies weren't challenging. =P
  8. Hmmm... It really isn't anything like gauntlet... It's more like Diablo, only you get to control more than 1 character at a time (although Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 are a bit more tactical than Diablo). The games both are a bit dated, but if that doesn't bother you, you should give either one a shot. =) I'm sure people would give you their advice on which one is better, but I like both equally for different reasons to be honest. From what I understand, though, neither 1 or 2 will be like the third one Obsidian is working on. 3 looks more like your traditional console action RPG (like Sacred 2, or Baldur's gate). Hope that helps. =)
