Currently reading The White Order. Annoyingly I read Colours of Chaos first, then found out it was a sequel to The White Order, so I went back to read that. Very well written considering nothing happens in either of them really, but I can't put them down. After that I have The Rule of Two by that dude at Bioware, and then I'll start the War of the Spider Queen.

Reluctant Hero sounds fantastic if it actually comes to fruition. Edit: Hrmm, seems it won't come to fruition. Its a shame.

Some of the Fable mechanics definitely need some tweaking. Romantic gestures shouldn't affect groups, and there should be separate like/love sliders. I got really annoyed that shopkeepers would wander around town looking for me leaving the shops unattended when I wanted to go there. Shops only ever stocking one of each item they offered bothered me too. What kind of produce stall only stocks one piece of celery?

The worst I did was KotOR 2, beat it in one sitting, 32 hours I believe. I didn't feel good after, combination of no sleep and lousy ending.

We did a variation of that that was 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes. Out of our group of 8 only 2 people made it past 60. It nly works out to around 8-9 beers, but taking it that steadily that fast ****s you up.

Just beat Rise of the Argonauts. Lousy PC port, likely better on console, except some of the boss battles are nigh impossible without a trainer. The art design was really good though, and the story wasn't terrible. Lacklustre ending though. Makes me want a big epic greek mythology RPG though. Something thats going to take more than 10-15 hours to beat, and isn't so linear. Worst part of the game was how if you progressed too far you couldn't finish some things. If there had been a story reason for not being able to go back and finish them, then it would have been fine, but you just plain couldn't. Definitely worth a rental though.

Comic thread http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showt...=48061&st=0 Anyway I've been following it on Wikipedia, figured I'd borrow it off a friend or check out in the trades. I like the new status quo though with the less than noble characters now in control.

Thats the complete opposite opinion to me and the guys at work. We thought it was one of the best years for movies in ages. Next year pretty much has Watchmen and Transformers 2 and thats it. Then again we enjoyed Hulk, Iron Man, Hellboy 2, and Dark Knight a great deal.

Dragon Age, Alpha Protocol, God of War III, Brutal Legend, and I'm sorta looking forward to SW:TOL, depending on how that story aspect works out.

Screw Dungeon Keeper, I want an Evil Genius 2.

Now all we need is Bethesda to release a toolset for Fallout 3, and MCA & Co. to use it to make the FO3 they envisioned... It would be sweet if Bethesda hired Obsidian to do a Fallout Spinoff based on Van Buren, so at least it could see the light of day.

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. I thought it was better than the first, and I loved how for once in a fantasy film the population of a country wasn't stupid multicultural. Making them all spanish with that spanish inspired armor and such was awesome.

Basically its a big event that is closing this chapter of the ultimate universe. Killing a bunch of major characters, cancelling a couple books, taking it as far from the standard 616 universe as possible. In the first issue they killed Nightcrawler, Dazzler, the population of Latveria, possibly Johnny Storm, and millions of other people. All because Quicksilver didn't realize that Magneto was Magneto(jumped in front of a bullet to save him). Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Fantastic Four are being cancelled, and Ultimate Avengers will start up again with Mark Millar in charge.

Incredible Hulk came out after Iron Man. Hulk came out a few years ago, but the two are entirely unrelated. Incredible Hulk is a far superior film. Saw Doomsday a couple weeks ago. I've never felt that a movie would have been better with less violence until I saw that. It was enjoyable, but the gore was for the most part pointless. Bolt was fun, worth seeing for the dog shooting lasers from his eyes for the first time. Step Brothers, Forgetting Sarah Marshal, and You Don't Mess With the Zohan are all good comedies that should be watched as well.

Last I checked 60% of Canadians didn't vote to give power to the Conservatives, 30% did.

The English language has evolved. It's sleeker, more efficient. If only you Europeans could keep up with the times! I'm Canadian

The ultimate line was appealing in that it didn't have convoluted continuity. Its only 8 years old and the way they handled crossover events was ideal, where the entire crossover was contained in a single title so you didn't have to buy every book the company put out every month. They had decided early on to never have more than 5 books a month in the line, leaving room for Fantastic Four, Ultimates, Spider-Man, and X-Men, as well as one crossover title. Also, except for Ultimate Spider-Man, the titles tended to be edgier than the standard 616 marvel stuff. That has changed since they put Millar on the front lines of the regular marvel U, basically ultimatizing the 616 universe, but thats what they're attempting to rectify with Ultimatum, killing off major characters from each book in order to really shake up the universe and bring that uniqueness back to the ultimate U. Unfortunately they put Loeb in charge of it.

Its annoying when spell checks think I spell colour, armour, centre, theatre, etc. wrong.

See, and I can't understand why people do like his style Loeb has done some good work in the past, but it seems like since now that he's established himself he's just pumping out poo like its gold. Ultimates 3 was just... wow... I know Joe Mad was partly to blame for that turd but still. Jealous robot, random return of Venom, Wasp leading the team, Black Panther suddenly a member of the team, as appointed by Nick Fury, who was trapped in another dimension so how the hell can he appoint anyone, Dr Doom inexplicably returns from the Zombie universe, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch lovers, Hawkeye going from badass black ops commando to emo... just wow
-
How the hell does Jeph Loeb manage to not only be employed, but be considered one of the top writers in comics and be handed many of Marvel's high profile titles? He's like the Frank Quitely of writers.* *For those who don't know, Frank Quitely is an artist who's style is characterized by everyone being big huge fat headed people with pursed lips and squints, generally making everyone look like the same person with different hair. Considering him an artist is an insult to artists. He is also very popular.

Seattle's Best is a subsidary of Starbucks. Anyway, I'd like to see a 4e game where you start on the streets of Luskan and eventually either quell all the warring factions or unite them all and instill your character as the first stable leader since Deudermont.
