  1. The Vita Chambers are the least of Bioshock's worries. I always just quickloaded instead of using them. I think most people have enough self control to not use them if they don't want to.
  2. HR will also feature interactive dialogues and multiple approaches to situations beyond gun/fire/ice/electricity. I have a personal problem accepting Bioshock as a good game. The best I can do is say that it had good bits and bad bits.
  3. If one were to use "good" or "deep" instead of "proper", one might argue that such rpg gameplay would be characterized by applying the rpg part to the gameplay, whether the game be shooter, action-rpg or something completely different.
  4. I can understand that, but saying that it will be "Nothing like BG2 or Fallout", really made me wonder what HE considers a "proper RPG gameplay" to be. If they actually deliver any of that(hitting people with a sword felt awfully like hitting people with a dagger in the demo), I'd check it out. Oh, and I hope we won't get dungeons where monsters jump out ever 10 meters and drag you into a prolonged, yet easy turn-based battle.
  5. Thanks, that explained it.
  6. Noted, but I would still like to know what "proper RPG gameplay" is and how one can identify it.
  7. Let's see, first you say it doesn't break any new ground, which I can only imagine means that it does what others have done before that. Then you claim that it will "deliver proper RPG gameplay" suggesting that it has not been delivered as of yet. Also, you claim that it will be "Nothing like BG2 or Fallout", implying that it will be radically different. Are you suggesting that there are indeed multiple versions "proper RPG gameplay"? Wouldn't that make the word "proper" rather meaningless?
  8. So Fallout or BG2 don't have "proper RPG gameplay"? Is it some wild mythical beast that only you can see?
  9. But they made BG2 already.
  10. Bioshock was another one of those games that had awesome potential but ended up falling flat in the implementation. Awesome art design, music and setting don't excuse a crappy story or bad gameplay.
  11. Not saying anything bad about the game, but that video is hilarity squared.
  12. The point was that there are plenty of games with bad metacritic scores that sell well.
  13. If there's no benefit to staying neutral on the screw the rules/by the book scale you might just as well choose one or the other on character generation. There really should be drawbacks on the extremes and benefits for being moderate
  14. I don't see Nintendo complaining...
  15. Choice and conflict Probably not what you expect.
  16. Top and bottom 5 of 2010 Should give you something to complain and/or sing praises about for a while.
  17. I'm guessing they looked more at the sales numbers and less at the reviews...
  18. I really hope all you MSK3000 fans are aware of Rifftrax...
  19. I'm quite sure, yes. I'm here because of the Computer and Console forum, but for whatever reason the AP forums remain attached to it. My avatar is from Fallout 3, thank you very much. Let me know once you get to the ~100k range, there might be some potential there then. I'm am perfectly aware of the reasons some people like it, I personally disagree with their assessment.(again, if you look a few pages back in the forum, there are monster threads of people discussing their differing viewpoints on the game) I haven't played RDR, so unfortunately I can't comment on it. You are welcome to your opinion.
  20. Arrested Development Better Off Ted Wonderfalls Day Break Carnivale Dead Like Me
  21. There's also Demigod and Heroes of Newerth...
  22. Where did all the GTA IV love come from? Last I checked it was a horrible port with a ton of technical issues and bad controls combined with a story that's so overrated it's not even funny, not to mention the clunky switches between slapstick and drama. EDIT: This all goes for the main game, I don't know anything about the add-ons.
  23. A poll with 22 entries and a few hundred people across different forums who liked it. Yup, looks like a bestseller in the making. As for me, I did finish the game and no, I didn't appreciate it enough to want a sequel. Feel free to dig through my post history to see more details, we used to have a few big threads about liking/not liking AP back when it came out.
  24. Are you sure about that?
  25. Then the aliens show up and ruin everyone's fun
