Bing is Microsoft's new search engine that replaced their Live Search, not that anyone cares. Wii Motion+ is pretty much what the Wiimote was supposed to be from the start. I've mostly heard good things about it, at least for the Tiger Woods game. Its bonus is that it is actually out and it works, unlike the pipe dreams that are Natal and Sony's disco sticks. EDIT: If any of them are going to be successful, then it's the Wii Motion+, just because people actually buy Nintendo's crap and it comes bundled with everything.

Some new info about the World of Darkness MMORPG

Just a though here, but you really do like your vampires, don't you? CCP is doing awesomely, I was talking more in general. I also find it really funny when the "hardcore" MMO people are calling WoW kiddie. At the end of the day you are still both mining rocks and hauling crap from one place to another, why not get along? -
I'm not saying that I want better graphics, I'm just saying that EVEN the graphics, which have unfortunately been the only really evolving part of videogames lately, have pretty much peaked for the time being. Since 360 is the main platform most of the time, no one bothers to add any scalability for the PC or even the PS3(which has arguably more power than the 360).

Maybe they'll find something less trumpet-y Swarms of bugs, actually. I guess anything's an improvement over gigantic trumpets... -

I want to be able to first stake the vampires, then cut their heads off and fill their mouths with holy wafers and holy water. It also sucks that WoD vamps can enter homes uninvited and cross running water You do know most of what you are saying if fairly modern vampire lore. Go back father then the Victorian era and those 'weaknesses' (and prob most of what you know about vampire lore) don't exist. I was kidding, and as fate would have it, I'm not an expert on vampire slaying... Because WoW caters to the lowest common denominator player. When you cater to such and put the bar so low you have a much larger player base to tap into. You'd think that other MMO developers would also like to have a lot of subscribers and money, why the hell aren't they catering to the lowest common denominator, but doing it better? -

Do you have any evidence to support this? While it is true that most people only play 1 or 2 MMO's at a time, we have no idea what audience ceiling is. It is a genre that continues to grow at a very healthy rate. More titles are added every year and yet they continue to pull in subscribers without crippling older games. I've yet to see a quality MMO go belly up, and I've seen quite a few mediocre ones survive longer than expected. It's much more likely that the game will die in the development stage than choke once it is released. Always with you and your evidence Most new MMOs pull a bunch of people and then stabilize at a few hundred thousand and while still being profitable, they don't get the continuous grown that WoW is experiencing. My point is that no MMO is anywhere close to WoW, even though they have better graphics/cooler features/whatnot. Why is that, if there are limitless amounts of new players to be tapped into? WoW is old, but it is still growing while the new MMOs are barely scratching the surface. -

Heh, didn't know CCP was behind this. They're doing pretty well with their small(ish) fanbase. It's a winner take all deathmatch because MMOs are more about stealing each other's userbase than getting more people into MMOs these days. -
They just want the most money from the lowest common denominator. No one is challenging anything, even the graphics are held back by the 360

The device itself has two normal cameras, an infrared camera, a microphone array and a custom-built processor for all the tracking and depth sensing stuff. It is NOT going to be cheap. Also, I don't see taking one hand off the controller to signal your squad being very streamlined or better than pressing a button. The voice stuff is cool, but talking to your 360 is very, very weird.

I'd be fine with a few nice things for being good here and there, but these days good is always the default path and usually get the best rewards without even trying. And everyone seems to make evil even more icky and impractical. Maybe I don't want to rule the galaxy or kick the poor puppy, but I don't care about your damn lost wife either. People should actually choose between things that are not transparently good or evil.

You and your weird German words... They can market their asses off, but they need to actually have games to sell it. Weird dodgeball-brickbreaker and Halo grenade throw aren't enough.

Is it just me, or is there a lot of projecting going on?
-
It's just the "code name", don't worry. The better question will be: how will they get people to buy the damn thing? It has more tech in it than the 360 itself and it certainly won't be cheap. No one is going to pay $99 just to flip through movies with their hand.

Hey, he didn't bash AP. Victory to the just! It wasn't at any of the press conferences. I'm sure he'll bash it when it comes out Postponed Judgement Day isn't bad either. I'm sure his review will be funny and mostly ture...

Most of the people who saw it behind closed doors weren't impressed. It's just crazy ol' Molyneux getting hyped about the "limitless potential" and what not. He should go make something good like a new Dungeon Keeper or Black and White and stay off the pipe for a while. He once got strangely obsessed with a cookie on his twitter...

Wat? Where? AS with any human creative endeavor, the potential for art is there, but atm games = corporate product. Yeah, but some developers keep trying, so there is a little hope.

My vampire slaying skills aren't what they used to be... Different vampire flaws sounds pretty cool. -
Keyboard and mouse for life! Can't wait to see people looking even more ridiculous making a "grenade throwing" motion with their hand while playing Halo. You are the controller!!! EDIT: I actually hope that it replaces the controller completely so we can have casual consoles and hardcore PC. The way it was meant to be!

I predict three big bombs with Blizzard's next MMO walking away with the money. -
I would bet its because of the players themselves. While you may find a handful of players that would be satisfied with merely "doing good" most of us are greedy bastages that want to have their cake and eat it too. Meaning, we want to be the "white hat" while also receiving the BFG3000 as a reward. The trick is to make it satisfying. If they managed to make a whole generation of geeks cry when Aeries died in FFVII, they can make some poor farmer's gratitude and happiness feel real when he gets his goat/wife/house back. Games are supposed to be art, no?

It's time to make your choice: http://www.reconnections.net/redblue_pill.jpg I never liked(or saw) Alien Nation, so I choose evil Morena Baccarin. Evil and cuteness is a dangerous combination indeed.

It's only moving water, so they could have used it to block off certain areas from vamps (like the beginning area for humans). -
