  1. I don't think that the IMF should be blamed at all, I live in a country that has high unemployment and poverty worse than any of the EU countries going through austerity and people like me survive and thrive fine. I will say that most of you Europeans are very good at complaining and arranging government protests. But the reality is that almost all the financial woes that Europe is going through are self inflicted. Bad government policies, inept tax collection and the spiraling credit card debts are to blame. Yes austerity and financial sacrifice is the path certain countries now have to follow. Lets stop blaming countries like Germany, who have managed there economies well, for the changes that need to be made
  2. Hi All We all love food. I enjoy cooking and I am constantly looking for tasty but easy to prepare recipes and snacks. So I thought a thread that discusses this would be appropriate to share some of our universal and gastronomic ideas. We need some rules, so please include all ingredients and cooking instructions. Finally try to keep it simple as a complex recipe may just be daunting for some. Eggy Toasted Sandwich Ingredients 1. 2 pieces bread per sandwich 2. 2 x Eggs and Milk 3. Whatever ingredients you like on your sandwich (some cheese should be a must) Cooking Instructions 1.Beat the eggs in a bowl and add 2 Tablespoons milk. Season appropriately 2.Make the sandwich with your ingredients 3.Dip both sides of the sandwich into the egg mixture so it is coated thoroughly ( The sandwich may break up a little due to the liquid but this is fine) 4.Heat a frying pan until hot 5. Cook both sides of the sandwich until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side (don't burn) 6. The result should be a rich and delicious toasted sandwich that when cut open the cheese oozes out Post your snack recipes
  3. Gorth you are just bitter because the Op doesn't consider Australia worthy of contributing towards this project. Don't worry one day Australia will be "enlightened and experience the glory of the American cRPG "
  4. Very cool! Invite me! Btw.. how are the girls in Johannesburg? I travel overseas a lot for work but I still think South Africa has overall the most beautiful ladies in the world. But I suppose I am biased
  5. Im interested, can you post the structure of your fishing mini-game?
  6. Wow this weekend we are spoilt living in Johannesburg, the following events are happening http://www.sexpo.co.za/ : Sex and lifestyle show, my friend is a professional Pole Dancer so I want to support her http://www.tasteofjoburg.com/ : A major culinary expo, with celebrity chefs and loads of food to sample http://h2oparty.com/ : A dance event that takes place during the day at a place with pools and water rides Now the bad thing is I am working today so I can only go tomorrow to one or 2 of these prestigious events
  7. I understand that people don't like Assange, but that's no reason to throw due process out the window. Due process has the absolute requirement that those responsible for enforcing the laws -ie Sweden's judicial and police authorities- themselves abide by those laws, something they've singularly failed at with all the leaking they've done. Sexual impropriety is the perfect crime to accuse people of, as it brings out all the smoke = fire instincts so that you see plenty of people taking the mere accusation as fact, and as evidence of guilt in and of itself. An accusation by itself is not evidence of anything. Amazingly- as if on cue and to illustrate a point- Barack Obama just walked in and punched me on the nose. Shame poor Assange is the victim right? You then mention " due process" . What do you consider him breaking his bail conditions and illegally hiding in the Ecuadorian Embassy, all supporters who contributed towards his bail would have now lost there money and hopefully any faith in him. But I guess thats alright because the Swedes are the ones "throwing out due process" and Assange did nothing wrong?
  8. Did you read the Ops suggestions? He isn't necessarily talking about mini-games but the broader topic of fishing and quests that would be related to it
  9. I voted yes, it could be something that adds a level of additional adventure. As you mentioned the sea contains its own mysteries which need to be understood
  10. Take a hot bath with epsom salts. And welcome to old age You are funny Hurlshot
  11. Exactly, there are so many flaws with him claiming asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy and not wanting to go to Sweden. Primarily there is a much stronger extradition treaty between the UK and USA. If the USA wanted to extradite him they would have requested it. Why wait till he gets to Sweden? I am convinced that there are legitimate charges he is trying to avoid in Sweden Okay. US brands Assange an 'enemy of the state' - just like al-Quaeda - because Sweden http://www.tgdaily.c...-like-al-quaeda Actually, the military branded him and wikileaks an enemy of the state for the express purpose of being able to bring treason charges the next time some discontented little **** decides to give classified info out. Instead of the much weaker espionage charges that were leveled against Manning. In any case regarding Assange he's almost certainly a narcissistic sociopath. That makes perfect sense, there has to be real legal consequences for any person who discloses information as sensitive as some of the Wikileaks cables.
  12. Your post made me laugh with its cyclic connotations
  13. Yeah, it was as easy as a Google search: https://www.google.c...my of the state Good. What, did you want to me to weep tears for tyrants and authoritarians (and I don't just mean in the Middle East)? Thanks for the additional link. It tells us that the USA considers Wikileaks an enemy and that military personnel mustn't share information with them, I accept that now and its no surprise. As I mentioned I consider what Wikileaks did as very dangerous and completely unacceptable. There are many valid reasons why diplomatic cables need to be kept secretive. Also these leaks didn't just effect tyrants and dictators but countries that are allies of the West in the Middle East, and other places, like Saudi Arabia.

US brands Assange an 'enemy of the state' - just like al-Quaeda - because Sweden http://www.tgdaily.c...-like-al-quaeda I don't mean to offend you but can you provide another link to this article that discusses the same information. It should be easy if it is true? The reason I ask is I haven't read or seen anything about what the article claims from any credible news sources this week. Saying all that my personal opinion is that Julian Assange should be seen as an enemy of America and face some kind of criminal charge. He used the power of the Internet to publish confidential documents that put peoples lives at risk, embarrassed many countries and jeopardized certain political agreements between countries that weren't suppose to be made available to the public. What gave him the right to do this? Who made him the disseminator of the "truth" Also I am not sure what is the relevance to this discussion of that photo you posted that shows the South African police suppressing the recent violent mine strikes by the miners of various trade unions ( I assume that is the photo )

  16. I detest Julian Assange, he is a parasite who has been given far too much coverage. He needs to go to Sweden to face the rape charges and stop hiding behind this ridiculous assertion that he is the "victim" of some Western conspiracy. Also Russian TV must be the most anti-western, biased and propaganda fulled news channel I have ever seen.
  17. I voted yes if they announced Romance\Sex options in the game But I am confidant they will have this feature in the game as Obsidian really seems to llisten to its supporters and the majority of fans want this.
  18. - Any aspect of the game that doesn't allow Romance\Sex Otherwise I am comfortable with seeing how Obsidian will develop the game.
  19. Not to dispute the point, but it's an annual poll they do where previous winners are automatically excluded, so most of the usual suspects were ineligible for this year's edition. Okay interesting I didn't realize that. But for the record who were the previous winners (or losers in this case )
  20. I have to confess I haven't played either of the IWD. I wanted to play them recently but the general opinion about them all seemed to be same, they are an excellent Action RPG but don't have much of a narrative or interaction with your party members like BG. Is this true? Well, there is no "canned" party banter if that is what you mean. You create your entire party of up to 6 characters yourself, mixing and matching skills and abilities to suit your style. The story itself however is IMO superior to the Bhaal spawn stuff. You just have to get used to the silence, because you (or some mates if you play multiplayer) have to roleplay the adventuring party rather than a single protagonist. Okay, thanks. I suppose I need to get them on GOG and give them a try.
  21. I didn't say doing a MMO was a bad idea. I just said that it was a bad idea to put so much emphasis on single player story and also it's bad to clone WoW. When MMOs go from subscription to F2P that's considered somewhat of a failure, because they couldn't hold on to enough subscribers to pay the bills. I'm assuming this is one of the reason Greg and Ray quit or were fired because TOR wasn't successful. I don't know if it's true but it was leaked TOR cost $300 million to make. I don't think there is any way they made that back if it's true. I'm also curious about how successful DA2 and ME3 were. A lot of bad PR came with those games even if they were financially successful. EA was also voted worst company in America and I'm sure the bad PR from those games had something to do with it. EA also paid about $800 million for Bioware Pandemic 5 years ago. I'm kind of doubting Bioware has made that back for them or are even close to. Yes TOR did need $300 million to make and it wasn't the huge success that EA expected, but the ME and DA series were both highly successful and profitable. I agree that there was a fan backlash from some but there are still thousands of very loyal Bioware followers. I don't think either Greg or Ray left because they didn't deliver products that weren't profitable. Reading between the lines and what they said I believe its because they did feel there creative input wasn't what it use to be and to be honest they are both now very wealthy. Why force yourself to work where you are questioning whether you can contribute as constructively as before if you really don't need to? Finally that poll that rated EA as the worst company in the USA is clearly inaccurate and doesn't represent the reality. You can't tell me that certain big banks or cigarette companies are better companies than EA. Gaming fans were responsible for that result as they had an axe to grind against EA and we all know how vociferous gaming fans can be

  23. There are some good idea's on this thread, I would like the Gods to be similar to Greek Gods but they are only as powerful as long as they have followers, this doesn't mean they would be defenseless but just reduced in power if no one worships them. Also at a later stage as the series progresses it would be nice to have a showdown with a Fallen God or some cult attempting to resurrect there diety.
  24. If it's supposed to be simple friendly fire like BG or Fallout, than I would prefer option to turn it off. You know, I still remember this WTF moment when people went hostile and tried hand-to-hand combat with my character in power-armor. :] Lol, that sounded like quite a fun experience. Fallout is another RPG I haven't played it but I want to.
  25. Yeah I like the concept of friendly fire, it adds to the whole importance of strategy. I always use to chuckle at how unrealistic DA1&2 were, I would be surrounded by hoards of darkspawn and I would cast a fireball spell on myself and blow them away but never get hurt.
