  1. Please can we keep this type of thing in context I appreciate your input on matters but what Volo said is hyperbole and completely lacking in the actual facts The EU troika and EU leaders dont want the UK to leave because the EU is stronger with the UK being part of it ....this is obvious Merkal and other EU leaders have already made concessions to Cameron for logical and strategic reasons ...Cameron wouldn't have supported EU:In without them But there are other things the EU cant or wont comprise on and these reasons could still cause the UK to leave ... But the suggestion that the EU " wants to destroy the UK " is preposterous
  2. I'm confused by this criticism? Dont both Trump and Clinton deserve to be respective nominees because they had the most delegates? Now lets say somehow Trump wins, at the end of his 4 years when it becomes apparent he wasn't able to deliver most of what he claimed he would do the Republican political machinery should go back to the old structures ....in other words looking at the establishment for guidance. I have always felt this would be a better way to manage the Republican party?
  3. Shady what would you like to change in the US if you could wave a wand and it would happen....but you cant be unreasonable like saying " everyone becomes a millionaire "
  4. Isn't this an infringement of the US free speech?
  5. Only for the cycle to return the next election. At this point a strong(over 10% of the national vote) showing for a candidate would just lead to blaming said candidate for spoiling it for whichever Big 2 candidate lost. Johnson will be no different, Republicans will blame him for Trump losing and next election the Libertarian candidate won't break single digits in the hypothetical situation where he grabs more than %10 of the vote. It's enough show a pattern. We've had the Big2 parties dominate presidential and congressional politics for over a century. It's not going anywhere and the choice between one Goldman Sachs employee and another isn't much of a choice. This seems like such a pessimistic view of the future. We live in a different time. Most of these 3rd party candidates that challenged in the past didn't have the tools available to candidates today. Social media and the constant news cycle have changed a heck of a lot of things in the last decade, why can't they change the two party system? Just upping the voter turnout could cause a major shift in the political climate. Both Bernie and Trump are examples of this. They've defied polls and done unprecedented things all campaign long. Why can't something as surprising happen in the general election? I am generally surprised about the degree of pessimism that I sometimes see from people on forums like this and who generally live in first world countries. Its good to question things in life but surly populism isn't a reason to follow someone in politics? If you could change any 3 things in the USA, this could be legal laws or some political development what would they be? In other words what will make more Americans happier?
  6. I am not familiar with the history of how most of the US presidents got elected before 1990 or so.....how did Nixon get elected?
  7. This must be one of the most inaccurate posts you have ever made? You trolling I assume Lets keep it simple....is there one thing in this post that is true?
  8. Surly this highly irresponsible behavior wouldnt be a reason for people to suddenly vote Trump? I would imagine people who burn the US flag would be in the minority?
  9. And I have been thinking about something else that is very relevant to me I am always concerned with events that will weaken the West and the UK plays an important part as one of the foundations of the West But then I thought, it wont weaken the West if the UK leaves the EU because the UK is still part of NATO and why would leaving the EU weaken the UK resolve and commitment to the principles of Western ideology? This may not seem relevant but it is because some people in EU: In are playing the old " this vote is about the future of the whole EU " But lets say the UK does leave, I predict 12-18 months of economic instability but then things will balance out So I feel much more comfortable about the whole outcome Raithe also remember my family come from the UK so I have real ties to the English and wont the best for the UK
  10. Yes, I must recognize I underestimated this whole dislike of the governmental structures that the EU enforces in the UK I expect people to only be concerned about the potential economic impact but I see many UK citizens have raised some valid issues with what you mentioned
  11. I have to say the Brexit polls are incredibly close, all major pollsters give results more or less 40% in and 40% out and 20 % undecided....the undecided can really decide of this momentous vote, I dont like those odds
  12. Oby.... I'm doing fine, no need to worry about me but I appreciate the sentiment and concern
  13. ....Unless she's indicted. Which obviously isn't going to happen so Leferd is correct How is it "obviously" not going to happen? She is not going to get indicted....its obvious?

  16. Ouch !!! Enjoy leveling
  17. Details grassphopper details ? How was it ? How was the Avo...did it taste okay?
  18. What exactly are you referring to? UK leaving the EU or any country leaving the EU? I dont ever get excited about any country that is going through economic pressures or will make a decision that will harm its economy The problem is more people like you who live in stable first world countries but support the breakup of the EU ...its fine you living in Canada with no real social or economic issues so of course throwing around terms like " enslavement " or " European Nazi policies " are fun and vogue because frankly you don't think a collapse or weakening of the EU will impact you ...but it will you just dont understand the consequences
  19. The power of what now? The power meaning the appeal of left-wing populism.... You... do realize that most of Sanders' positions wouldn't count as "radical" or "populist" in any way, shape or form here in Europelandia, right? I'm no sure if we talking about the same policies, wanting to breakup the numerous US global investment banks is radical and would be considered radical anywhere in the world?
  20. https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-says-nearly-6-million-raised-veterans-paid-152010326.html?ref=gs Guys Trump attacking the media like this surly can't be acceptable ..... He lashed out at the media unnecessarily IMO, he tends to get very emotional
  21. The power of what now? The power meaning the appeal of left-wing populism....so things Sanders has said which resonates with his supporters
