  1. Yes we must support Trump because he is the US president, this was in no doubt for me But its unfair to compare Hilary to Trump because she is not president....if she had won wouldn't you be supporting her in these types of foreign policy decisions ?
  2. I respect the way you and other members from the Scandinavian countries defend and at times debate certain SJ points But its an honest and necessary statement to say " The Islamic world is dealing with a number of serious and violent changes, the most serious being Islamic Extremism like ISIS "
  3. That is also correct, the Chinese are weird and inconsistent around they respond to certain global issues I remember how they punished the Dalai Lama by forbidding him to reincarnate in Tibet...I kid you not http://humansarefree.com/2011/02/china-bans-reincarnation-without.html
  4. Of course China is not a real enemy but you absolutely right about the hubris of the Chinese and them telling the USA " you cant speak to Taiwan " WTF !!! Who do they think they are? But the USA does have a real and symbiotic economic relationship with China, this trade agreement is very important to both countries so for me I wouldn/t jeopardize it over Taiwan? So let the Chinese shout at the USA for a while...its not a big deal if we honest?
  5. You see despite the fact you ignore me you were right in many respects about this, the EU should not have allowed them in after the first batch Nothing wrong with the initial idea but it would have been best to immediately stop the migrations of all immigrants. The cultures are on opposite sides and its not worth integrating because I don't see the real sustainability or value in doing this But you were more gloomy and negative about them but yes it was a mistake and I would correct i it f I could
  6. Consider this, even on these forums most of you guys think the media is biased and yet the media is fine So why is it so hard to believe Trump didn't want his core supporters to be influenced by any negative comments so they ignored all media and the only narrative they received was from Trumps Twitter ...this would lead to people that are horribly misinformed
  7. This is an accurate view, there is no doubt part of the Trump victory was resentment and irritation from white men at being blamed and accused of various things by people who are vociferously SJ supporters So we need to be honest, yes the whole SJ crusades went too far in the USA and we need to change some things I want to make a separate post to discuss this and share my perspective You have no idea how bad the whole " lets ignore the media ....we know we right " view became About 1 week before the election Trump had convinced the majority of his supporters to ignore all media and not give any interviews So you suddenly had millions of Americans getting NO information except from what Trump told them....it was very concerning Most of them became like Trump zealots ")
  8. Do you mean the call from Taiwan? You know what ,f***k the Chinese, I didnt even know the USA wasn't talking to Taiwan So its a non-issue
  9. http://electionado.com/canvas/1479173071893 Another guy blacksplaining white working class. It's like me writing an essay "the third trimester and what to expect". For a while I considered you a bigot because you said several very offensive things and you didn't seem to understand why what you said was unacceptable But you haven't said anything for a while that was offensive ( calling me names is irrelevant ) so someone spoke to you and I think you doing very well so well done
  10. Renzi had the best interests of Italy in mind, he was trying to restructure the bloated and impotent levels of government bureaucracy Italy is one of the PIGS countries who has not managed there own economy effectively, it gets tiresome and irritating that the old Europe countries seem incapable to make the relevant and necessary guts in government spending and government structure that every other EU country has been able to maintain Italy now will continue with austerity because the Italian parliament refuses really to care about its citizens future
  11. How many people will be at the Xmas party you going to this year? Weren't there 40 or so last year ....its your wife's family right ?
  12. Oh I meant to tell you, our predictions about the USA election and basically getting the outcome completely wrong must not be seen as a reflection on the failure of our views on SJ. I am just using the words "us " to include anyone who supported Hilary because of the view they considered Trump offensive and utterly unpresidential volo said to me on another thread " I was wrong about Clinton ". But I wasnt wrong about Clinton, the word " wrong " actually trivializes the election and the unexpected results. You can use that word if you made a bad call after critical thinking about something But my issues with Trump were not just mine but part of what the majority of people in the USA thought, most Republicans thought Trump would lose Many people I know who are Republican supporters didnt even watch the election because they assumed Clinton would win So what does this tell us? This election was an anomaly and therefore unpredictable because something unprecedented but necessary happened. The data was inconsistent and misleading .... I cant hold myself responsible for that I have already taken some constructive lessons from this
  13. This is a very interesting debate, I can completely understand why the sentence was so lenient. Why do think she should have kept the baby that she never knew about and was the result of rape ?
  14. You have raised a good point which does surprise me at times, for example why do you Canadians copy the Americans all the time? For example you seem to watch TV series that all come from the USA...whats wrong with watching local content only?
  15. WOD I never know when you joking, would you really be okay with California leaving the USA in some sort of alternative universe? Wouldn't you feel a sense of loss because California is considered one of the iconic US states for foreigners...Texas is also by the way
  16. I forgot to actually respond to what you asked ..my bad These elections tomorrow are significant because they will be a benchmark to see how much political support nationalism and right wing politics has in the EU\ So lets say the right wing Austrian party wins and the Italian PM loses ....this will be a huge setback for the future of the EU and will suggest where the French election is going \
  17. I dont generally agree with Farage because I see the EU as a good system of creating economic union and prosperity but he makes very convincing arguments and I would argue many people on this forum would support his views He is not some kind of zealot and he has been right around certain predictions so maybe he will be right about the demise of the EU?
  18. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/12/02/opinions/italy-referendum-preview/index.html http://www.dw.com/en/trumps-shadow-looms-over-austrian-election/a-36594430 NIgel Farage claims the year 2016 is the year that will be remembered as the " end of the EU " He attributes Brexit and the Trump victory as irrefutable proof that " the forces of global nationalism are inexorable, implacable and inevitable " I think he is wrong but the elections in Austria and Italy will be interesting to see how much influence his type of ideology has in the post Trump and post Brexit world These elections are symbolically very important to the EU
  19. volo I am of the opinion women are mentally stronger than men on an average. Men are better at some things so it balances out
  20. I wouldn't force women to fight in the first place. There's no equality on this issue, men are natural killers, women are not. If they volunteer, that's a different story. This. I thinking drafting women is uncivilized for a number of reasons. If they want to fight, ok, but they have to be placed in suitable combat situations. Front lines or close quarter combat, they just wouldn't be as effective. Also, women combatants would have much more to lose if they were captured by the likes of Isis. You guys do realize that the military isn't entirely infantry and special forces, right? Most women would not qualify for those roles, hell, a lot of men don't even qualify for them This is making me think it's even a better idea than I did before because hopefully people like you would then oppose any unnecessary war that might require a draft Shady when you trained for the marines before you were deployed how many women did the marine training in your unit? Basic training and combat training are segregated but your MOS(military job) school is coed. Field exercises and weapons training are coed as well but often you are not with just your unit especially with larger exercises. There weren't many women in my unit but I couldn't give you an exact count, my platoon had 1 or 2 depending on the deployment So the 1-2 women in your deployment didnt do the same physical training you did which I would expect ? The reason I ask is in movies like Full Metal Jacket you see this, IMO, really rigorous basic training that marines are subjected to and I am genuinely wondering if a women would be able to compete at the same level as men? 4 Let me ask the question a different way. When you were in Iraq were the women doing the same job as you as direct deployment or did they do other jobs like signals, medical, transport , intelligence etc.
  21. Anyone who's serving could potentially be in a combat situation. If you're not ever going to have a draft, there's no point of registering. Once they're registered, what's to stop an SJW president from sending them into combat? Look here, Wrath of Dagon, I actually naturally feel the way you do. I would not let my mother, wife, or sister jump in front of danger before me. I agree that men have a hero complex and that is no where more apparent than in the United States pretty much through it's entire history. However, if women *really* want to be equal, then they must have equal stake and equal risk. I think ShadySands hit the nail on the head, and it's something I've been trying to get across. Most people don't serve in actual combat roles. You're right that any service member can end up in combat, but those situations already exist and women have already seen them. Not to mention women flying in what is essentially combat roles as helicopter pilots. Volourn has a point about the sexism to men, and I agree with him. I'm kind of scared of him too, so I won't critique his manner of saying it, but the truth is the truth. However, it's also sexist to women. Either they are our equals in terms of facing danger or they are our charges and we must decide what is best for them. It does a great disservice to women to pretend that we must protect them by denying them the right to fight for God, Country, and loved ones. But we need to use common sense and be logical when we say " we need to consider women as equal to men in society " This applies to things like gender pay gap, women's right to abortion, women's right to decide what career they want " etc. But we not talking about women being equal in every facet of society because there are real physiological differences between men and women and sometimes you will put women at a major disadvantage if you want them to be treated completely equally to men For example in contact sports like rugby, football, american football men and women teams dont compete against each other for obvious reasons ....so I'm unclear how men are being discriminated against like volo suggests?

  23. You beat me to it, rat bastard! I was going to say that men wanted women around in order to take a bullet for *them.* Hey saving a lady's life is probably a decided advantage in getting her to sleep with you. Of course, knowing some of the Wandering Monsters I've seen, you might rather not. But guys dont you think its normal for men to put themselves in danger before a women has to, obviously I mean in a non-military environment Its the same principle when a ship is sinking. The expected way passengers are saved is " women and children first " I doubt I would jump on a lifeboat before a women or a child?
  24. Logan's and Billy's narrative is based on Dolores' memories and we have seen her mixing up happenings in her head and seeing Billy in places and times where he wasn't actually. They are both different people from RL and are participating in different narratives that may align...what am I missing?
  25. I suppose its possible, how long has the institution been in operation? Maybe 15-20 years so maybe Arnold was only alive in the beginning? But it is odd because they would have digital pictures of him for security?
