Until the actual election results I would have agreed with your friend because my experience is many people, including some forum members, did seem almost obsessed with the email scandal But I would ask your friend when was Trump homophobic, because I can recall when he demonstrated other forms of bigotry but not homophobia ? When he chose Pence, who is openly and actively against LGBT rights and protections and who thinks that conversion therapy is not just okay but better target for governmental funding than AIDS prevention, you know that he isn't big supporter of LGBT people. I wonder if Pence still thinks that ?

Okay I have had time to reflect on this whole election and I spoke to my family in NY, some of you will remember my niece who OD her father and brother in law and there family are investment bankers so they have given me a more positive and reasonable view of this election. I then consulted other sources and I now have a more positive and reasonable view of this election Nicole's father is still a cold emotionless **** but has has been a banker\investment banker for over 45 years. He knows the financial markets and still works for the same firm at Wall Street and they do very well ....its probably because he only makes decisions on logic as he has no emotion Its a long post but I encourage anyone who is feeling melancholic and worried about this election to read the long post I will make after this , it covers a lot I also must apologize for lashing out and blaming anyone in the USA for not voting for Hillary, it was unfair and unnecessary especially since my primary criticism was " I posted all these links that had valid issues around Trump yet no one in the USA took them seriously " ...yet I have created on these forums a certain personality and many people dont take me seriously on some issues ...which is how I like it and times I mess around and feed this view, so how can I now blame anyone for not taking my advice or links credible ? Because I have contributed towards this view Okay its a long post I need to make so give me time but my uncle has shared some real data and insights with me.,...there firm is not pulling out and mass selling of any US shares or investment portfolios or selling the dollar. This is good news and my uncle said the US stock markets and dollar will recover in 2-3 months at the longest So the US economy and uncertainty will only be temporary ...anyway I will make the long detailed post ASAP

Funny you are one of the few people on these who will think and believe this is good news, its to be expected Trump will appear to any white supremacist and or bigot and extreme conservatist anywhere in the world. So yes this is actually a good thing for you because Trump shares many of the offensive views you have around things like gay rights. This is your victory but remember its only for 4 years and then people like myself who firmly believe in human rights and a equitable and fair society will be back....so go wild the next 4 years, the West will be basically effective around its appetite to intervene in any human rights crisis or military crisis around world This is not a good thing for anyone living outside the USA who cares about Western ideology but also the US helps many countries idepedently and never gets credit, like eradicating Ebola in Africa a few years ago in Africa

Please stop repeating the obvious like some retarded parrot...we all know Trump has won This is going to also hit the EU hard, Russia will increase it hegemony and the EU wont confront Russia and you will be weakened in your attempts to address Islamic extremism...yes thats right. You know how you really dont like Syrians coming to your country get ready for more Muslims in your life Its not so funny now hey

I wouldn't trust him on the companies part. He's STILL a businessman, and damn right a lobbyist with cash is gonna get to him. Not to mention his own business history suggests he's not above outsourcing jobs. MAYBE he will view the USA as his "company" and crack down on it, but MAYBE he will view himself as his company and just pocket every bribe. I expect the latter. He is going to have no positive impact on the US economy, the US is going to go backwards It wont crash of course but please understand the next 4 years are going to be very hard on the US economy and the average US citizen

You really think you are not also responsible ..anyone who voted for an independant is responsible in there own way, you dont get a pass I just am preparing you for whats coming so later you dont say " OMG how could Trump be doing this...how did he get elected " But I really like you and I feel very guilty but it will make me feel much better, my conscience will feel more absolved, if you acknowledge I did try to warn you about Trump, I did my best right but ultimately you made your own decisions ?
-
Hey, I voted for Bernie, who projected much, much better than Hillary did against Trump at the time. I very, very reluctantly would've preferred that she won tonight, but that's not how the right of the nation felt, I guess. None of us can do much about that, and you lashing out at us isn't going to change that. Okay I apologize, I just am very frustrated ....its too late Barti, funny enough I never wanted you guys to go through this
-
Nah you're good bro, it's just me and Volourn he hates. I dont hate anyone on this forum? I am going to be also impacted severely....but there doesnt seem any point in not admitting what is now coming and how we all need to accept the part we played But LK you seem to be taking this seriously and thats a very important first step, you will notice other members like KP and volo thinks its one big joke, they think this is inconsequential
-
Yes Bari sometimes in life we need to take responsibility for our actions ..I know this concept is foreign for many people because you live in a first world country like the USA..,..the greatest country in the world. Trump should never have won this election..make sure you keep stocked up on the depression pills as you will need them
-
Get stuffed volo, yes Im in a very bad mood....you are so out of touch with reality you think this is something that wont hurt you ....you will see

*highfive*! No one believed us. Most even said it was impossible. I wasn't brave enough to make that call, and I consider that a testament to just how powerful propaganda is. I had no idea who would win and honestly thought Clinton would. Even if my gut said the Trump support is larger than they think, it's very hard to make that call when you see limited evidence of it according to the mainstream media. Likewise I feel a lot of Trump supporters were "shamed" and thus afraid to announce their existence. People can still deny it to this day, but the fact of the matter is that the media was 100% propaganda this election season. Today it's clear that the only people the establishment has been fooling this whole time has been themselves. I do hope you two placed bets on this though. Oh for the love of everything ....pls shut the **** up about the media being biased Are you that stupid you dont realize that was one of the great lies and manipulations that people like you propagated. So no one actually trusted the media when they warned and warned you how problematic and inconsistent Trump, you guys just ignored it. Well done you now have Trump presidency ...whoopie for you You have been one of the great pawns that Trump pulled along like a bull with a ring in its nose Yes Bruce, clearly I'm wrong. That's why Trump is currently very close to winning and scaring the wits out of everyone. He has won, well done. The next 4 years and possibly longer are going to grim for everyone....and you must realize you contributed towards it Can you at least take responsibility for that?> Bruce, I am not responsible for not trusting the most two-faced politician in American history. There is no objective right or wrong with this choice, because while I would quickly concede Clinton has the better policies....we don't even know her god damned policies. We don't know what's a lie and what's politics. And for all Trump's faults, the glaring issue stands: Clinton should never have been viable as a candidate to begin with. That? That ticks people off, that's why you see Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Nevada, and Michigan all hesitating to support her. Clearly, this is a big deal for a lot of people. A lot of people would prefer that idiot over the establishment simply becoming more corrupt. This entire election has been the Democratic party attempting to blame it's own supporters for not "bending the knee." Look at today. This is where that attitude gets you. Your job as a candidate is not to arrogantly tell your base to "bend the knee," it's to convince them you care. She's never, ever done that. She's played politics every single day, and she and the establishment (the DNC, the media, the lobbyists and the government officials) hav no one to blame but themselves. LK sorry Im not just blaming you, every person who didn't vote Hilary must take a share of responsibility. Including me for different reasons. So this is a collective acceptance for the future of the USA....but I really did try to warn and plead with you guys Leferd Im sorry for people like you and other forum members who voted Hillary, the next 4 years is not your fault at all. Everyone needs to take a share of responsibility outside of voting for Democrats Think how bad his presidency is going to be...for example most of his supporters believe all the hyperbole, they think he can actually do the things he has been threatening to do...imagine trying to deliver on some of these impossible promised He has said the entire election and system is rigged, he has said Washington is a sewer and needs to be drained but he has also said the entire media is biased and remember his supporters also think this now ....how is going to now address these things when in fact they not true We tried my friend, this is not on us

It's the Russians' fault the DNC ran such a terrible candidate. I see you still think this is a big joke, laugh my young friend..its good to be unconcerned with a more dysfunctional future over the next 4 years

A Trump presidency is going to be much worse than you guys in the US realize...much worse. I won't go into detail now but you guys really are in for big reality shock. I did try, I posted every link I could but it was ignored because most of you guys somehow believed the great lie that Hillary is " as bad as Trump " ...now you will see the difference and this is something many people around the world will also feel, like me Anyway you will see if Trump wins your stock markets will suffer loss and your currency will lose value , this is just the beginning. A good question to prepare yourselves would be something like " why would the US stock market be losing millions of dollars, Trump is a good businessman, he seems to have okay ideas " ? Or he might not win
-
Oh wait, let me guess now you are Trump supporter.....say it volo, you know you want to say " I want Trump to be US president " ...try to be honest for once?
-
Yes, it is Trump actually could win.....can you imagine having to deal with Trump for the next 4 years Our forum friends in the USA, Im sorry but Trump could be your next president.
-
Oh you young grasshopper Full Metal Jacket, Bennie its one of the best Vietnam movies of all time, you must watch it

https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89120-obsidian-us-presidential-poll/ But the problem with this poll is that it was flawed as some members dont even live in the USA so they dont really care what Trump says he can do or they dont care if the US is made weaker by Trump

Hmm, this doesn't pass my BS test. Link? We looked a bunch of studies out of Sweden just a few months ago. But yeah, it's not hard to find articles on what Pidesco is claiming. This one seems to be decent: http://time.com/2851844/number-of-campus-sex-crimes-reported-surges-by-50/ For me the onus is on the person making the statement to prove it., if I was Gfted1 I would also ask for links if I didn't believe it. But I have come to realize Pidesco is someone who wouldn't post something if it wasn't true so I believe this is true But I appreciate you posting this anyway

So if that happens what would that mean? Does that mean the Republicans can block any rule or law Clinton tries to pass? Technically yes but she could also block anything they tried to do. At worst it becomes a total stalemate like it did for Obama. He ran absolutely roughshod over them for the two years the Democrats had full control. The Republicans were cut out of everything in a way that is unusual even in DC. It was made worse when that worthless bag of s--t Harry Reid changed the Senate Rules on cloture votes and essentially took away the filibuster. After that is was Democrat rule by fiat and some really, really bad things happened. Then the Democrats lost the House of Representatives in in 2010 and the Senate in 2014. Because Obama had treated them so poorly and was still overtly hostile to them the Republicans were not inclined to compromise with him on much. And to tell the truth he had no inclination to work with them either so the whole government ground to a near halt. A budgetary spending resolution still got passed. The essential tasks of the Government were still accomplished. But very little in the way of legislation moved. Which s fine by me. I'd take that every time over what was going on prior to 2010. Now with a new President and a new Congress the dynamic will be different. If Hillary Clinton is elected and is willing to sign bills she may not like in order to get Congress to pass ones she does she can probably expect to get 50-75% or her agenda through. That hard left and hard right bills will still be stopped. A radical leftist Supreme court nominee (Another Ginsburg or Kagan) would be stopped. So to answer your question it really comes down to how Congress reacts to how the treats them. If she puts their backs up she is in for a long frustrating four years. I say four because historically the mid-term elections favor the opposite party of the Executive. If the Democrats don't have control of the Senate by the end of the night they will not have it until at least 2020. The House is probably a lost cause for them for the foreseeable future. This is a very interesting post. But it concerns me in the sense you could have this really frustrating stalemate and most US citizens are sick of the impotence and lack of consensus in Congress, things seem to take a long time to get done So if I was her I would not try to implement the very ideological controversial things like gun control and focus on fixing things where there can be agreement like Obamacare and improving aspects of foreign policy
