You have made some relevant points about this topic that I need to clarify what I mean by misinformation because it can become confusing I just mean about the virus and peoples acceptance of it, its definitely a topic that has some denialists in places like SA, USA and I assume most other countries that have freedom of speech. But what we saw in the USA was different than normal " virus questioning " .....I mentioned this to @rjshae I havent seen ever so many people in predominantly Republican states who had created for themselves a selective reality of the world, the virus and why the Deep State was behind the mask wearing It honestly upset me, I know its sounds strange but I dont like to see any people but this was mostly white people who had seemed to have forsaken an inherent sense of logic and understanding of the world. For example some Trump supporters openly saying " we will only believe what Trump tells us, even Fox doenst matter anymore " and things like " I cannot believe how the Miami mayor is going to be killing people because he is insisting on masks being mandatory " ......and I will always remember what she said because she was this beautiful, Latino women. And I hate to see beautiful women so agitated and confused .....she literally told this entire, board of doctors who were chairing the townhall meeting that none of them understood what they about to be doing!!! " How can doctors want to kill people " and she was almost in tears, so she believed that mask wearing somehow leads to people being killed due to some deep state surreptitious plot. Now normally we have to walk away from this type of ignorance due to how much work is required to get her to understand the nature of the virus. But I definitely think she can get a pass because she is not from the USA and its important we try to ensure that people who immigrate to the USA from South Americans countries are not judged unfairly .... Hurlshot and Gromnir have suggested sometimes that I am insensitive to the reality that immigrants face....but once again I can confirm that is not the case And then people in states like Arizona walking up to the Sky News journalist and openly not wearing a mask. @rjshae, I remember our chat last week or so where I was saying how I am studying the psychological and societal reasons for the degrees of misinformation that occurred in the USA in some Republican states and what caused so many Americans to basically become disconnected to certain realities of the world. Its complicated because of the various factors that contributed but Zora post is indirectly linked to our discussion @Zoraptor I just joke with you about what distinguishes NZ from Oz as I know each country has its own character and attractions. I believe NZ offers an ideal home for those who want the lifestyle. Its not somewhere I could live because I would feel restless as its limited in things I am use to. I know a work friend who immigrated to NZ after his girlfriend left SA with his daughter and went to NZ. She felt that SA was not a country that had a good future and was able immigrate and take her daughter to NZ where their is no crime and none of the issues she is concerned about in SA......because she is the mom she has full custody which seemed unfair. My friend ended immigrating to NZ but it took him about 6-8 months because with his degrees and experience he was over qualified for the NZ financial market that primarily invests in the software we sell. But end of the day NZ has economic strengths but not necessarily in the field we work in. So he ended up getting a job at a NZ ISP, he still works in software but his job description has been downgraded immensely yet he is very happy because he is now able to see his daughter and he has rekindled his romance with his ex it worked out well in NZ But going back to your report about misinformation in NZ, I never would have thought NZ could have this problem that led to the creation of such a detailed report...58 pages? Its a good game and definitely worth it. I literally didnt have 1 serious crash. I used one or 2 Mods with it like making the combat more realistic and tactical . Its well meaning and I assume comes from people who live in countries that dont have high levels of crime In SA we have high levels of crime as you know, much higher per capita than the USA and I shudder to think what would happen if we tried to " rebuild our police" because while you debating and discussing what this means criminals would be having a field day and crime would increase exponentially This is part of the issue in the USA, while liberals and activists are debating " defunding the police " crime is running rampant because that is what criminals do. While people protest how terrible the police are the police due to several factors are handicapped and not able to be as effective around actually enforcing the law and protecting citizens So change must come from within and you can achieve certain structural changes without sweeping statements. Or you can achieve change in a reality where you dont have high levels of crime or many criminals who will take advantage of these changes to policing
