They still bought the game and it still sold far better than this one. I never said it didn't, I was just saying, it sold well because it was a shooter. I agree the first was more a shooter than RPG, but it was still more RPG than ME2. ME: 30-40% RPG 60-70% Shooter ME2: .01%-1% RPG 99%-99.99% Shooter.

ME2 was billed as the sequel to an RPG, not a shooter. More people bought ME2 than ME because it was a shooter. People didn't buy it because it was a sequel to an RPG. In fact, a lot of the fans of the first dislike ME2 because of the shooter direction it took.

700k units so far isn't bad for an RPG. Mass Effect sold well because it was "ZOMFG EPIC ASPLOSION AWESOMENESS LACED WITH DRAMATIC GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS LIKE THE DISAPPEARANCE OF AN INVENTORY!" Fact: Shooters sell better than RPGs.

Alpha Protocol was okay, it wasn't anything special. /thread. Honestly, it was an okay experience, but it wasn't a "ZOMFG CAME IN MY PANTS 10/10". It deserved an 8/10. That said, I feel sad that there won't be a sequel because it would be a chance by Obsidian to fix all the problems they had with it. Also, Mass Effect 2 was total ****.

Do what exactly? I wish we had KoTOR III too, I've had about 10 characters in KoTOR II and I've put over 100 hours into each but I doubt we'll get KoTOR III. Not to mention if we did it would most likely be developed by BioWare .

Actually, yes, because you don't know ANYTHING about the characters, and there's like 3 that are important...

New characters and factions all with EXCELLENT writing appear after Saudi. Of course in order to understand them, you'll have to play through more than once, as the choices you make effect what you discover.

Totally. C: Spend 3 hours scanning planets. C: Your ship is C: Spend 5 more hours doing sidequests C: Your team is That really beats a game where if you make wrong choices you won't get the whole of the story.

5 or so hours must mean you've either not gotten passed SA or you just did, no wonder you think the plot is ****.

I found Mass Effect 2 to be extremely boring, that said I played it until I beat it without touching anything else, but it was more of a "What is everyone bragging about? I don't see any amazing awesomeness yet." And then I fought the Terminator and all I could think was "What?".
