A request from a builder
PliantWalkJojo replied to Link CyberExplorer's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
You can attach grass planks and stems to ziplines as well. For written message, you can use sign frames instead. The "Creatures" set has almost every critter in the game.- 1 reply

New combat mechanic: Dodge combos.

I was bombing the roly poly and many times it stepped on some grass planks and flew into the universe and disappeared that I have to reload. -
We cannot hear character's voices when they are in water, which is reasonable. However, when I come out of water, the voice lines are still muted. This includes BURG.L's voice lines, and probably the voice logs of Wendel. I am playing on Windows 10 through Steam. Another bug is that, when I bomb the hell out of roly poly, sometimes it flies away and disappear probably due to all the grass planks on the ground. Also, there is a raw-science seemingly on top of the trash can and inside the trash can handle which I cannot reach.

Weed Killer missions bugged
PliantWalkJojo replied to rennc's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
For those kind of quests, there should already be a blueprint, and you only need to add material to it. -
I think this is especially relevant now that each creature is differentially susceptible to different weapons + the fresh/spicy/salty variations. It would be very helpful if the dev can implement a system like that in Persona, documenting the effectiveness of the kinds of attacks once you try it on each creature.

I like this one! The clues are concrete enough that I did not worry that my theory could be wrong. Definitely much easier and less random than the mossy key. All the clues are in the sand box outpost, which you can access once you get the researcher's key from the black ant lab. I don't think it matters, but being able to kill antlions stably can make the journey easier. I was equipped with a lv6. mint mace which felt exceptionally effective against them.

For the time being, you can go to the cave under spade gulch to experience being surrounded by larvae in the dark. Fun! -
Stained glass windows

That's a great idea! However, I'm not sure if that is possible if real-world physics is considered, as butterfly wings rely not on pigments but on the specific ways lights got reflected. It would nevertheless be cool to be able to collect the scales of their wings and color one's armor or buildings. -
Dual wielding idea is great! It would mean higher burst damage but much faster stamina drain

Yes more mob interactions like that would be great. I have always been grateful for the ladybug who killed 3 soldier ants right before my first adventure into the Westerly ant hill. And I hate mosquitos as well.

QoL suggestions for building
PliantWalkJojo replied to PliantWalkJojo's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
I guess I've never been creative enough with them before... What were you trying to do? -
1. I noticed that you cannot put two triangular floors into a square as one block the placement of the other. The same is true for clover roof corner: you cannot build two with the top beam adjacent to each other. Can the dev please allow these? It would provide more freedom to building shape and floor pattern. 2. When a building cannot be placed due to obstruction, Is it possible to give visual hints on what is blocking the placement? A lot of times it is not straightforward and as a stingy person, I am often reluctant to experiment by demolishing nearby structures one by one. 3. I posted this before, but I hope there can be a mode for placing blueprints similar to the free-cam mode. I often get frustrated at the default snap choices when trying to let the buildings snap at weird places. (They still snap after prolonged wiggling of my character.)

Yesterday when I started the game I noticed that the game was extremely lagging. Turned out that Windows was updating, so I super-quitted and wait until it was finished. When I logged back in, the "From downtown" achievement was unlocked. I was near the hedge and the only basketball hoop I built was by the pond near the Frankenline. I attempted throwing rocks and pollens at it like 40 game-days ago, but never succeeded. Not that I'm unhappy about it, nor was I planning to grind for the achievement, but it's clearly a bug. Unless some bee flying by just threw a pollen inside for me.

I did witness three ants attacking a termite and the termite chopped one ant half. So they could be neutral mobs like the ladybugs, although they look quite nasty.

Don't forget the termites. Wrecking all your wooden structures

Numerous people have posted about riding bees and ants and ladybugs. The ideas are cool, but at first glance seems daunting from a balancing perspective: Why would you need to construct towers and ziplines if you can just fly on a bee? What mob warrants you to charge onward as a ladybug cavalier? Maybe similar to pets, these mounts would require a high maintenance fee (ex. nectar for bee fuel, establish short-lived chemical trail for ants to do work for you) so that you're discouraged to use them routinely, but encouraged to use them for extreme situations (going to the top of the oak tree, big construction going on...).

basic artillery

This might be useful for those who build their bases near mob spawning points. Things to do in the morning: drink a dew drop, eat a roast and one shot those mosquitos with an awesome catapult.
