Single class beguiler and ascendant very very powerful. If you want to play Soul Blade you should go multiclass, for example trickster/soul blade has incredable defences and damage potential.

On my last Soulblade/Trickster run somehow whispers of the endless paths run through become available even if i switch to other weapons. Its a very powerful ability especially for ciphers, does anyone knows how this happens, i may wanna use this with another runs later.

Yeah +1 for the Trickster, also - %20 recovery with streetfighter applies spells too very annoying.

Unfortunately heartbeat/swift flurry doesn't generate focus

I mean since Blood mage exists there are not much reason for not choosing it. You also get +1 power level stacks with everything(when you blood sacriface). +1 power level and %15 echo bonus not worth going evoker imo. Only downside you lose empower but quantity better than quality.

You should always use forbidden fist with https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Tuotilo's_Palm It gives +5 accuracy to your FF attack, two weapon attack speed, +1 reflex and deflection for per wound, %10 chance to gain a wound when you get melee damage.

Shifter/Helwalker is very good caster melee combo. I would go nature godlike using https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Lance_of_the_Midwood_Stag, you get +2 power level when you get beast or plant buffs, start with dance of death for getting wounds and accuracy and thunderous blows for penetration and +5 might. Than use your devestating area damage spells. Kill the rest spiritshifted, you ll get %25 wildstrike, %15 lightning strike and up to %20 fire lash with fast weapons. Overall very fun and powerful build.

I'll share a build soon Beguiler/Blood Mage using Willbreaker. It's just destroying enemies defenses, killing though enemies with disintegration and mobs with wizard spells.

I don't find Pladain's fun to be honest... But monk is super fun, you can multi with rogue, cipher and fighter or just go single class. Sorry you already finish with single class monk didn't read that. But multiclass monk is very different playthrough.

Problem with no community patch FF, you can't use lightning strikes, swift flurry-heartbeat drumming and enervating blows with your FF attack its so bad.

Forbidden Fist/Soul blade is what you re looking for. 2 very powerful attack from the start, very tanky, you can cast buffs and debuffs if you need to, whole package available...
