  1. GOG will sell Witcher 2 day & date without DRM. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-...l-the-witcher-2
  2. There's certainly been enough skirmishes in the MEverse to allow for a game or two, including some in the different Shepard origins (the Skyllian Blitz etc.). For some reason, I still have trouble swallowing the idea.
  3. Here's the gun in question: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Incisor There's similarities, but it's a pretty generic sniper rifle, so it could just be incidental... The honeycomb pattern on the armor is about as distinctive, so we have two possible visual cues relating to ME(2). I'm not really convinced, could go either way (ME spin-off, new IP).
  4. This is actually pretty much my issue/opinion, as well.
  5. Me too. Even though I found myself playing most of the game just pulled back, not top down, so I guess I shouldn't be as upset as I feel.
  6. You get away with more because you don't seem like your posts consist of 10 pre-canned ones.
  7. Agreed with the first part, but don't think they'd call anything set in the MEverse anything than ME: something. I'm still thinking new IP or a backdoor sequel in the vein of shattered steel 2.
  8. Nah, we should just all bend over and let you and boo ream us. There's a Bioware faction here ? Sweet. I'm in the "if you don't care for company Xs games, stop posting in them." I was given this friendly piece of advice by mkreku once, and I've followed it ever since. Apparently some people consider themselves above this. The only company I feel like I owe any kind of loyalty is Obsidian, as I spend way too much time on forums sponsored by them. Bioware has failed me in the past (NWN, especially), but since we know **** all about this new product I find the broken record guys tuning up their bash-chestra to be more than a little tiresome.
  9. Nah, we should just all bend over and let you and boo ream us.
  10. I was more thinking along the lines of:
  11. Hmpf, now that you reminded me, I probably need to get Spaceship Warlock instead.
  12. Ever heard of a sea troll? Water only makes things worse. I believe the technical term for them is "scrag".
  13. I think I agree more with Raithe than with mkreku on this.
  14. Not sure how much you can get done in two weeks. Might be enough for two big cities, and that's about it. Unless you just want to rush through the maximum amount of cities for bragging rights.
  15. I still own the Commodore 64 versions of most of those games. It was such a hassle trying to buy these games in Kiruna (tiny town far, far north in Sweden) back in the day. I remember that when they stopped making them for the C64, that was the turning point when I gave up on computers for a decade. I wonder if they'll be worth something some day? I have the mac versions - they had updated art and audio over the dos version... sigh.
  16. Way to miss what I meant. Trying to mop up mine (the doctorate, that is). Turning procrastination into an art form, including picking up a sudden interest in cod. Even though the series has lost its sole.
  17. That much is obvious, but that's also not what I asked. And I think it's obvious that we're crossing into the territory, where I don't want to make it any easier to identify me personally.
  18. Old enough that I should know better.
  19. Oh, I'll take RTWP over turn-based any day of the week, and those games didn't exactly have much in the way or C&C or even dialogue. But they were still pretty good for what they did, and if I had the time or inclination to spend that amount of time sitting in front of a computer screen as opposed to lounging in my sofa with a 40" tv and 5.1 surround system, I'd definitely be playing those games again (and BG2). But unfortunately, since I sit in front of a computer 10 hours a day at work, my gaming needs to pass the sofa test, these days.
  20. Hehe, attaboy. And I dont mean to pry, I always feel like Im kicking you while your down by asking those questions when its obviously still painful for you. Well, due to the work connection, I can't really talk about it with any of my real life friends, as they know both of us... and I neither want to start the rumor mill nor give people cheap ammunition against her. It's pretty painful to know that you were in the 2nd place - there's no silver medal in this competition...
  21. While I dont know the timeline I always got the impression from your fresh wounds that you and she broke up fairly recently. Wasnt her getting hitched rather fast? And as a follow up question, dont you and the (now) husband work together? Also, how do you keep from hitting him with a chair? Well, recently and recently. She broke up with me in January, told me about the other guy in March (when they got engaged) and now got married. Sure, it's pretty expedite, but she's a lawyer who has a pretty unromantic view towards marriage (mostly viewed it as a legal financial partnership). We weren't even together for that long, it was just the kind of stuff where you are finishing each other's sentenced during the first date. Never had quite something like that, but she knew this guy from before, and obviously it was easier to attempt again with somebody else than take a risk with me... And, no, I don't know who the guy is, I think I heard his (given) name for the first time today, in fact, I don't know the first thing about him. So we most certainly don't work together - and if I ever met him, it probably wouldn't end well. There's stuff I can't really share here in the interest of privacy, but let's just say that she keeps showing me that she cares. It makes it even more painful, tbh.
