  1. Since it's pretty damn hard to make a completely original civilizations, I'm sure Eternity will have nations and peoples at least some what based on historical ones, maybe even mixes of nations and peoples. So, what type of factions would you like to see? I for one hope they show more types of government than just monarchies, the Middle Ages and Renaissance had lots of different types of nations and governments, but in a lot of fantasy you mostly just see kingdoms and empires.
  2. Close enough I guess, Harkers Island and some other towns on the outer banks have that accent. I live in Greenville though, and have a very subtle accent.
  3. Americans have a lot of different accents, like in my home state of North Carolina there's people who talk like pirates (no joke, they talk like pirates). Also, Southern accents are great and I rarely hear them in fantasy. It's usually some general American accent if any.
  4. I don't see why a race can't have an American accent. The game doesn't have to be a copy-paste of the Old World. Also, medieval English people didn't speak like modern English people, and I'm not sure anyone wants anyone to speak like they're in the Canterbury Tales.
  5. I'm all for allowing companions to be killed, but in regular combat it was just an annoyance. "Oh, he died, let me just reload that save," or "great, now I got to go to the temple and resurrect him." I could try and force myself to leave them dead, but if I liked them and wanted them around, it just wasn't worth it. And resurrecting them really cheapened death. If I want to kill my companions I should get the option to fight them to the death, but other than that, narrative deaths have more meaning than random combat casualty.
  6. Oh, okay. It still would be cool if they killed off all the elves, dwarves, and orcs, or at least just the elves... I'd like intelligent, imperialistic, non-tribal orcs. Kinda like 19th century Imperial Germany.
  7. Drow are in the game I guess, the map mentions, in a far corner a "Lake of Drow Tombs" so they might be extinct... I think having the elves extinct would be interesting, like how in TES the "dwarves" are all gone. But regardless, it has to have humans in it. I like playing as a human, I find them fascinating.
