  1. Looks great so far. I have nothing to complain about. What's even better is that the show comes out next month. \o/
  2. I don't really like "like" any of the companions so far. But for some reason that started after I realized most of my cast is female... and most of the boss guys are female. Didn't made a statistic for it, but I have a feeling most of the important characters in the game are female. Not that that's inherently wrong, but... it just feels so artificial to me. I remember FNV being much more balanced in that area. It's the same I had when playing Battletech the last time. Felt like all I did was getting jobs from female politicians, killing female pirates (do they hate woman??? Or is that an attempt at presenting stronk woymen?). I really should have made a tally sheet when starting the game.
  3. Truth told, the hardcore mode in FNV felt a lot better to me. Primarily (I guess), because it was a lot easier to have companions not die on you all the time.
  4. The Red Dead Redemption 2 PC pre-load is available now on the Rockstar Launcher, by the way. There's 109gb to download, so I'd say doing the pre-load is a good idea.
  5. I'm actually surprised about all the positive reviews, because I still remember FNV getting slammed by lots folk. Now folks look at this game as a spiritual successor to FNV. Who knows, maybe the game won't do bad and we'll get some fancy DLCs.
  6. Can't believe you haven't found it sooner, because we wrote about it quite a bit in here. Season 4 soon, yay.
  7. I'm too lazy to watch it fully, but two things: 1. When he applies his skill points - I agree this screen is not good. Didn't know where exactly to click at first myself. 2. Character face creation is ... ok, I guess. But he is right, it really doesn't matter anything, because you never see your face unless you open the character screen. And even then it's zoomed out to the whole character, so you won't see the facer ever again up close. Everything else in the video looks like trolling. Other than that I'm a bit confused why the video title is "a non-gamer" when he has uploaded lots of game videos. That's as far as I've watched it.
  8. The game just won me over, because I found this. This is 110% my jam. I'll keep that till the end of the game, I swear. I've added a fun time barrel mod, to further increase my fun time with it.
  9. Damn, man. As I said before, the Outer World setting really isn't my thing ... ... yet I can't stop booting up the game and keep playing, even if it's just an hour or so at a time.
  10. Playing Outer Worlds really makes me want to replay FNV. It feels very much the same, but here is the problem for me: The setting doesn't hook me at all. I have yet to get warm with it... not sure if I will.
  11. No matter how many complain now, the next TES will be bought and the next (singleplayer) Fallout will also be bought. It's kinda depressing, but that's how it is.
  12. Pretty sure everyone around here knows that.
  13. It's not taken down. The traffic probably just killed it.
  14. 12 bucks / month to play solo and get few trinkets. No thanks. Apparently it is also required to play with mods later? Trying to make more money off of the modding community again. Hilarious.
  15. Wtf can't say Deus Vult anymore because apparently it's used by racist or what? I swear this world gets dumber by the day.
  16. Woah, there is so much garbage in that list.
  17. This whole situation is just so damn sad. And nobody does anything to stop this. Honestly looks again as if Trump is a russian plant, because now the Kurds ally with them instead of the us, which means russia gets more territory down there. Oh well.
  18. There is some talk about the text being weirdly written, as if it was edited by a chinese person. Now that sounds like some pretty nice conspiracy, but if you look at it in detail... seems kinda fitting. /Edit: https://appuals.com/blizzard-presidents-apology-was-written-by-a-chinese-person-say-bilingual-chinese-english-speakers/
  19. Maybe the holy father sends you a message.
  20. Sure. But to me, the combat in story missions is usually nothing but a boring slog. It needs balance. Oh god, especially Guarma... not sure if I will keep playing once I hit that chapter again. What I also noticed again yesterday is how... extremely touchy some elements are. There was a guy asking me to escort him to Strawberry. Sure, I'll do it. He didn't want to get on my horse, so I decided to lead my horse and walk beside him. Worked for a few minutes, then suddenly my horse bumped into him a tiny bit and that guy completely freaked and ran away as if I'm the devil incarnate. Then I got attacked in Valentine by some O'Driscolls. THEY attacked ME. I defended myself. Suddenly deputies all around, starting to shoot at me for whatever thing I did wrong in that scene, I really don't know. Then we have the touchy bounty system. Do just one thing wrong and you get a $5 bounty, then $10, then... well, I ended up with a $85 bounty for running away. It hurts, because I'm never really rich, especially not in the beginning. These are all elements that could have been tweaked, but as far as I am aware, the only patches R* released were for Online. The singleplayer is pretty much abandoned by them. It's pissing me off, because the game is good, but it could easily be even better.
  21. Sure, but it still sucks so hard here, because the game is GOOD, but it wouldn't have been hard to make it even better. The worst offender is the Guarma part. It's... so bad. Pure railroad shooter that adds absolutely nothing to the game. Would have been better to just skip this part, imo.
  22. Looks like I bought the PS4 only for two games.
  23. Started a new game in RDR2... wanted to do this for weeks already, but never had the mood. Now with the pc announcement I couldn't hold it anymore. First thing I noticed is that the stealth part of any mission is completely useless. There is no point to it at all, because it will still end in a mass shooting anyway. Might as well start shooting right away, it changes nothing at all. The game is so damn beautiful and peaceful in free roam. It looks great, hell I could just slowly walk my horse along the road and watch. It's very much a slow game too, with the way you move around, have to grab the rifle from the horse, etc... and honestly, I very much like this. It's the style and theme of the game. It's awesome, it's *real*... ... and then you start any mission and notice right away how scared R* were about this and to compensate that, make you shoot a million bad guys along the way. It's just too much. Mindless drone swarms to headshot over and over again, in every mission. This Kiran(??) guy said, our group is very much like the O'Driscoll ... no, it is not. Out group doesn't consist of thousands of people who all die like flies. This completely rips me out of the game. It an annoys the hell out of me. Should have added A LITTLE more depth here... better ai, less drone swarms, more impactful decisions... I'm sure they could have done that if they wanted to. /edit: it probably would have worked already to just cut the amount of bad guys down to 1/3 and disable auto-aim.
  24. Yes, you have to learn the controls first. Was booting up the game again yesterday and continued with my old post-story savegame and the first thing I did was causing a ruckus in Valentine, because I shot my gun instead of whistling for the horse. Kinda doubt it will be different on PC, though. Or let's say, I'm highly impressed if they develop a whole new interface for the port.
  25. Personally I had no issues with the gamepad. Actually this makes me think that I likely won't play RDR2 online on pc, because... I don't want to play it with moue and keyboard, but I know everyone else will, so you'll be at a huge disadvantage. Sucks that there aren't any "gamepad only" lobbies, etc..
