I'm curious, where did you get stuck? I didn't really get stuck. Pretty sure I could make it through the main story with ignoring all the side-bosses, but I just lost motivation. There's some bosses that I *know* I could beat, but I'm really too slow to dodge their attacks and thus have to repeat them over and over again until I'm lucky. Last thing I did was beating the mask part boss in the library. Next one probably would have been above the watcher knights (the first boss fight that really started pissing me off). I'm probably strong enough to take them now, as I have the coiled nail and all the other fancy stuff, but I just couldn't fire up the game again.

No dicking around here, fellas. That spider man trailer looks interesting. Likely going to watch the movie, because the first one with that guy was p.good. Though I'm feeling like it's a bit weird because if you don't just have half a brain, you should realize the coincidence that Parker is going somewhere else and suddenly spider man appears in the same location while Parker isn't around again the same moment.

Stopped playing Hollow Knight, because I'm just not good enough for it and grinding the bosses over and over till I might be able to beat them is just not fun for me. Bit of a shame, because I love everything else about the game. I can really feel how my reflexes deteriorated with age...

The ambushes I remember: Wait behind a corner, make some noise, let everyone kill the dumb npc that walked around said corner. Rinse and repeat.

Isolating? Meh, lots of people do that daily just with normal computer and console stuff. But yeah, it is annoying to setup, which is why I rarely use it as well. It might be different if I had a huge spare room available just for VR, but the way it is...

I finally buy a PS4 and suddenly everyone talks about PS5.

That still gives them plenty months to work on. Good, because the stuff right now doesn't convince me yet. Especially the very basic ai that just runs circles or mob-rushes you... eh. I haven't seen anything tactical yet, just your regular tank-arcade-shooter.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying, particularly making quality TV instead of event TV and keeping it simple. But I will say that Breaking Bad is a once in a generation type show, so that is probably too high a bar to set. I also think Rome and Deadwood were perfect as limited run shows. In fact I wish we had a lot more 2-3 season shows instead of all these long running ones. I also just want most of my TV to be fun. We need more Psych, Monk, and Veronica Mars. Thanks for reminding me. Just a couple days ago I thought to rewatch Rome again. At least season 1. The second season felt a bit rushed to me.

Oh man, I forgot this show still exits.

Yeah, that's what I did with a couple parts already-- moved them to another file, for another short story that I still have no idea how to tackle, because it's a whole different difficulty level. Now I'm thinking if it wouldn't be better to just let it rest for a while and try to write something else entirely. Probably should do that.

It's 1 1/2 weeks now since I started working on my short story... and I'm still working on it. Rewrote many parts, reassembled paragraphs for a better structure and tried to improve the details and wordings. It kinda annoys me by now, because no matter what, I'm always finding new stuff that makes no sense or is not talked about anymore later. There are some parts that I would really love to just delete, but I find them to be well written, so a part of me wants to find ways to make it work somehow... and the longer I work on it, the more I get the feeling that everything is just garbage anyway. Eh.

I think it's better to buy Ubisoft games directly on Uplay anyway, because of the bonus money / points / whatever you get. Pre-ordered Anno 1800 already at UPlay as well, because why not... Steam would just launch the Ubisoft launcher anyway.

Get the better ammo or switch to a newer weapon. Sadly RDR2 is the type of game where older weapons become useless while progressing through the story.

Trailer needs more inception zooms.

I dunno, had no problems with the controls anymore. Thing about the horse is that it tries to steer on it's own. You have to stop trying to force it into a specific direction. Otherwise you'll "fight it" and then land in a tree.

Huh, I somehow didn't thought there would be another season of Luther. Damn, if I had known this earlier, I would have watched it this weekend.

Just looked it up again. What I have actually played was Civilisation 2, because it had this windows interface all around.
-
It's funny because I always only played the very first civilization and never any other. It was fun and now makes me nostalgic.
-
Maybe it's a matter of taking breaks while playing. Have a similar problem with Hollow Knight. After playing it for a while, I really start getting sloppy until I let it rest for a while.

In any case, it looks wacky as hell.

Finished my short story yesterday with close to 5k words. The last stretch was really hard--- was about the combat scene between the main character and a monster. Here's the thing: I had (and still have) no idea how to write such things. In all my years as a writer for video games, I always only write the mundane things... and combat is later up to active player experience. Thus, I didn't even know where to start without having it sound like a checklist of boring things to go through. It gets especially worse if you have to drag out the combat scene and don't want every other sentence to sound the same. ****, this stuff needs a real big vocabulary, which I - honestly - don't think I possess. Not in english, neither in german. To get a better feel for that, I picked up The Gunslinger from Stephen King again. God damn it, are his combat scenes smooth. I never felt like **** repeated noticeably, even though shooting people with guns doesn't seem at first to be something you can variate on this much. Anyway. In the end, I've decided to add in a chapter with switched perspective.. you basically experience this **** from the eyes of the monster. Thus, the actual combat scene was very short. It's hard to explain for me without laying out the whole story so you fellas get a better understanding of it all... wish I could have written it in english in the first place, but I'm just not that good. Anyway2. I had then someone read over it and got trashed in plenty parts. Too many adjectives, lots of unnecessary words or sentences. So I've started deleting and cleaning up. Another remark I got was that the structure is confusing, so I began adding in a bigger intro, to give some more backstory. It's painful to hear something like that, especially if you crunched through the last 4 days, but at the end of the day, without proper feedback, you just can't improve yourself. Oh, and I've noticed that in paperback format, I'm at 33 pages. Just 117 or something pages more, and I have my own book. Doesn't seem all that unrealistic anymore at this point. Maybe I can fix up that **** to make it better, and think of a two or three more short stories. I'm quite pessimistic about that happening, though.

That zipper part was great. I lol'd a lot. Also kinda getting a crush on Halston Sage, I think.

I'm waiting for the turn based patch to arrive, then I'm gonna start a completely new playthrough of Yoga Fire + all DLCs.
