  1. https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/the-entirety-of-twitch-has-reportedly-been-leaked https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/twitch-source-code-and-data-reportedly-leaked-in-hack Funniest bit - "The 4chan poster says the leak is intended to "foster more disruption and competition in the online video streaming space" because the community is "a disgusting toxic cesspool". Some streamers are making good coin - For some reason some people are OUTRAGED at the money they're earning. I guess they don't watch pro sports
  2. Well for one she's married and secondly she has standards. But mostly learning it as I know a fair amount, so it would be fun to converse with them in their native tongue and for the rest it's fun to learn new languages. Coworker used "based" in a meeting today. Shame I couldn't strangle him and settled for asking him why he's talking like some moron.
  3. Putting the ass in Jurassic ?
  4. Managed to make my Russian friend's mother crack up trying to speak Russian to her. Key part was saying I practice the tongue with her daughter
  5. Now if they let you roll to determine how much you have to pay, that'd be good.
  6. What, no Maus tank showing up ?
  7. This is why you lie 98% of the time.
  8. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2021/10/facebook-outage-likely-caused-60m-loss-impacted-small-businesses/?comments=1 Only $60 MM, pft. Cloudflare had a good summary of it. https://blog.cloudflare.com/october-2021-facebook-outage/
  9. I'd rather see Glaswegians tackle the undead.
  10. From looking around it does seem everyone is a Sorceress, so need to check the meta. Giving that a break as for some reason I felt the urge to tackle and complete Castles 1 (incidentally what is GOG doing charging $12.49 CAD for 30 year old games...) as I never did finish that as a kid. The fake Roland sound doesn't sound as good as my recollection of my PC speaker back in the day, though.
  11. Seems they use their own domain for everything, I think we do likewise actually at my place, even with our SaaS stuff's DR environments (oops). But I am not too sure if there were no impediment to getting into the datacenters if that'd have improved the damage. Seems BGP issues are a problem. Makes me wish I'd gone into networking, heh.
  12. Facebook is root of everyone's sins, it seems. Convenient
  13. Using IoT for card readers doesn't seem that outlandish, FB has an immense number of employees - I guess they also have differing levels of access for staff too. Does seem strange to not have a fallback if the system is just dead (then again, not as if reporters would highlight that anyway). It will be cool to read an AAR of all this though.
  14. Seems data all scraped. I keep Facebook around mainly as a glorified RSS reader and to show off my dogs.
  15. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2021/10/facebook-instagram-whatsapp-and-oculus-are-down-heres-what-we-know/ Some FB network engineers having a very bad day.

  17. Can get 100TB for $40,000 - https://nimbusdata.com/products/exadrive/pricing/
  18. Act 3 sucked even more than Act 2 did in D2R, huge zones, annoying enemies. Did laugh that I just walked in and ambushed myself with Mephisto. Real exciting fight, standing in front of him Charge Striking his ass until he died. And all he dropped was barbarian gear too, bleh. Should have gone bowazon.
  19. Transforming your enemies into memories is more efficient.
