Well, it's not as punishing as the first one. I'm on hardcore and have been shot a couple of times without dying - I did get incapacitated and revived by an AI medic. So far it's not an awful game, but only on the second mission so far. Noticing some odd AI behaviours though, I should have been spotted by some AI troops but they only reacted once I was spotted by some other unit.

Always wonder how Three Dog learns of your deeds anyway. It'd be nice to hear radio reports of some other adventurer being a hero or villian, too.

Anyone try this yet ? Trying to glean info from the games official forum is a bit difficult with all the apparent COD tards, and reviews are unreliable in most cases.

Playing ToMI Ep 3, liking it so far. Glad to see the return of Murray.

I can't really say I have a desire to do so, but alright.

Plenty of ways, could make wounds not as fatal or the AI crippled, etc. I'll try to play it before I judge it too harshly, but just don't get a sense it'll be as 'hardcore'. And pfft, what do reviewers know :D

Yep, EVE's UI is pretty nice - I don't get why people hate it and say it's un-intuitive or confusing. Anyone try the new Ony encounter?

Well EVE's solo content is sort of 'meh', it's doing well. Sitll I solo most of the time, close to 100% in WoW - can't stand most of the plebs there.

Doesn't really sound like he's actively seeking faults, playing a psycho killer is a popular playstyle. :D

About to fire up Derek Smart's All Aspect Warfare, I hear great things about this game.

Sid really needs to make a sequel to Alpha Centauri. I'll second the recommendation of SEIV. The graphics aren't anything fancy by a longshot, but the gameplay's deep enough to make it fun. It's real fun multiplayer though, countless months spent playing it PBW.

that assumes that you would have to "keep firing" people... which is unlikely. fire a couple malcontents and the rest get the message: nobody is irreplaceable. HA! Good Fun! You'd be surprised, not a general case, but sometimes the firing's backfire and you create more malcontents. It happened in my last job, company got mismanaged to death, team kept losing developers due to the manager's wannabe hardass-ness. Was funny to see them go from happy to describing to me how they'd cut the manager's throat, though, hehe (frankly a poisoned Jos Loius was the best option).

You're right. Although even that has its limits, if you keep firing and replacing people for technical work you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Playing The Guild 2. Enjoying it, oddly enough, not encountering as many bugs as I thought (did patch at a date after my friend played it and told me about it, though).

Yeah, but most of the time you'll end up with just enough. Darth Vader school of managing isn't really the best, as you just get what you think is best, not necessarily what is. Still though, Activision does sound fun to work for.
