maybe he got tired of the tape over his mouth.

I'm actually pretty glad that it's not FO:NV-related because I really didn't like the art direction of that site/graphic/clip/thingy.
-
Yeah. Doesn't really sound like Bethesda's M.O. either. They're like the KGB of gaming...I'd think it would take a massive slip-up or leak for anything to come out this early.
-
so...like...where did everybody go?
-
Heh. Day's already pretty much ruined anyway...though I always have fantasized about death via airplane crash (if you're going to go, go out strong I say).

Without it, canceled flights would be certainly more distressing.
-
Ha! That would be a fine answer and I could die happy having heard it.

Ignoratio Elenchi. Again, it's not an answer. Not to the question I asked, at least. Repeating "rose colored lenses" time and time again after people patiently (or otherwise) explain how that is not the case does not make you correct. Try again. Actually, the sad part is how much you let peoples' posting in a few threads within the entire forum bother you. I love Fallout and hate Fallout 3 but not through cause and effect, it's just the way the games flowed in and out of the neurons in my brain. Calling me a moron isn't going to fix anything nor is it really going to make you feel that much better about anything in the end. Many times I've stated things and brought up ideas which I'd love implemented or things which went wrong which I'd hope could be fixed...yet somehow I'm easily reduced to being a moron because you don't like the manner in which I post the other half of the time or because you don't agree with me. Besides, to think I'm actually passionately riled up about this as a real person in the real world? Sheesh, I'll leave that for the actual developers. No. No, I just find speaking my mind on subjects which interest me enough to talk about them on a message board to be entertaining.
-
Uh, no. No this is not an answer to the question I asked but a self-righteous explanation of your own philosophy about video-games. Try again.
-
That's just like...your opinion, man. [/Lebowski] Think really hard, Killian...and try to remember all of the arguments against your "Rose Colored Glasses v. Fallout 3" hypothesis. Try to remember how you never once actually addressed the argument once somebody stated their case. Think about all of the fallacies in your points of contention and how they repeatedly get thrown back in your face with detailed explanations. Now explain to me how or why you continue under the assumption that repeating something makes it so (this isn't Planescape, lad)?
-
yes. you mean using a character editor or without cheating? with cheating you can download and use the falche editors for both games and in the game there are things like armor implants and perk choices which raise your stats.

How many copies did William Blake sell in his lifetime?

And my point is that if something was great once it does not stop being great. EDIT: also, why would I be going on about F. Scott Fitzgerald at a videogame message board? Fallout is actually one of a variety of topics which kinda, sorta makes sense to be talking about here. What with this being a video-game message board belonging to a company making a game in the Fallout series. Furthermore, why should you care how much I enjoy Fallout? How patronizing can you get?

Interesting... Why would you reference Charles Dickens if you "live in the now", Killian? Why wouldn't Ismail Kadare be a better choice? Why would you give Charles Dickens credit? Why do I have to read "Hard Times" in class this semester? Should I tell my professor that because she is not "living in the now" and only "now" is important she is "liv(ing) only in stagnation"? Is something which was great once no longer great because time has passed? Or am I to presume that as with one piece of art the same standards should not be upheld? I think you are far too old to be using the reasoning of a child, Killian. Aren't there better ways to debate your side of the argument?
-
Lulz! Greatest monkey/typewriter line I've seen yet! @Killian: Of course I haven't! The writing is so goddamn horrible and the game so generally vapid and insulting I never finished the vanilla, gave the damn thing away and will never install it on any computer I ever own ever again! And I'll add that you obviously have no clue as to what Killap has done, because your phrase comes across as a major insult if you have.

Fool.

Why wouldn't it? It's basically the same thread.

Five counter-arguments to Killian's weak arguments: Depends on your preference. I prefer the graphics and look of the isometric games much more than the copypasta and embarrassing animations of Fallout 3. I've never felt as immersed in a game as I have from Fallouts 1 & 2. Without going and counting, this is highly debatable. What's not debatable though is that there is no point in doing any single quest in Fallout 3 since your character is never invested in anything. How could he/she be when the world doesn't even react to itself much less anything you say or do? The original games have plenty of incredible mods. Maybe it's not as easy to make barbie doll **** or play house, but there are incredible mods and patches just the same. Yet there are plenty of bad "jokes" throughout the game so immersion breaking I had to stop playing it. So too much of a bad thing is now a good thing? This sentence makes no sense.

Reported to moderators for hopelessly bad taste. You should try the Hi-Res mods at NMA. They're easy to install and look pretty amazing. Also, it's the wasteland...how many colors do you really think there will be? (and at least it didn't have the horrible green/blue tint Bethesda gave FO3). Hey, look...I'm agreeing with you.

Thread opened due to Fallout. *discuss*

Ehehe. An old friend and I once played that sort of juxtaposition game to kill time at work...it was beautiful. One of my favorites was REO Speed-dealer.

Ah, yes. "Cool sh!t" I believe is what Todd calls it. Yep.

Well, yes. That's the whole point.
