  1. I agree some what although I see it more like this, oh man Rather got the scoop on Bush being underhanded air it, air it, air it. Now look at it if Fox would have gotten the scoop. Would they have aired it with out more checking into it? I think they wouldn't have mostly because yes of the right wing slant Fox tends to have. Now if you want to bash a right wing conservative that can be out there why not hit us conservatives up about oh I don't know say Rush Limbaugh. P.S. Long live Farscape
  2. I agree Phosphor but as I live in a country that must warn through labeling that tabacco, and alcohol have adverse health effects I think I will see analysts for many years to come. It maybe different in other countries but in America it is an unwritten understanding that every "news show" is fair and unbiased. That is the reason Taks takes exception to what some people have said, the leftwing cries foul while commiting the same foul. I don't agree because lets face it if Dan Rather had a different agenda than CBS then he wouldn't work for them. Why when dealing with something a potentially damaging to either side did the higher ups not step in and check old Danny boy? Is there truly a person out there that could right a political devisive article and be completely unbiased? Even if they did would it be viewed that way by people who do have bias? . Very important point and why is Rather getting more flack because lets face it TV tends to reach a greater audience which is why they need to be much more careful when running stories like that. Who knows had it been some one of less stature than Rather they probably wouldn't be working for CBS right now. Edit: Felt I needed to add this in CBS, NBC, ABC are all television networks they can have agendas and be as biased as they want, their news and reporters on the other hand should not be. Unfortunately with the case of Rather we see the bias of the network come through in the bias of their reporter. The same as with any other news program and its reporters bar none.
  3. No No the sink should be the same size. What I meant was some times in new countertops you must cut your own hole for a sink, it can be a tricky bit of buisness.
  4. Quite easy my friend just make sure you have the proper plumbing incase the old can not be reused. Unless of course you need to cut a new hole for the sink that can be a little tricky some times.
  5. Ok here is my problem it doesn't list any of the Original eps as openable by the toolset. I guess what I should have asked was how do I get my toolset to recognise those moduales, I mean not even SoU, or HotU show in the moduals section when I choose open an existing modual.
  6. How do I impliment the CEP in the original campaign, any help is greatly apreciated.
  7. No I agree I would much rather have Granite ( althought it must be sealed periodocally to keep germs and stains out), corian, or marble even though your tastes are expensive I wouldn't necessarily say I don't agree with them. Laminate is cheap and easier to clean, and change than tile thats why we went with it. I think if people ever found out how easy it was to laminate a counter top they wouldn't be as expensive as they are.
  8. This is easy Coke all the way because of all the house hold uses. :D
  9. Why not laminent easier to clean than tile. We just riped out all the sea foam green tile in our bath room what a freakin mess when you combine that eith plaster walls.
  10. It's actually called "Kilz". The primer battlecry in the painting community is "Kilz'll Kill it". Kilz is a primer. The best dang primer ever created. If you hire a painter to, say, paint the exterior of your house, and he uses anything but Kilz, and refuses to use Kilz, fire him. Besides using substandard primer, he intends to water down the generic paint he bought instead of the expensive stuff you're paying for as well. I've used Kilz extensively on exterior and interior jobs. Brick, wood, plaster, plastic, concrete, floors, walls, clabberboard, cedar (not my idea), oak, pine, particle board, clay tile....... BUT....Do not use it on something that you may want to strip down later in life. It will be extremely difficult to strip. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh remember back in the good old days when the painters made and mixed their own paint? What ever happened to those times?
  11. The simple answer to why some people paint fireplaces is some brick is ugly, the other is they do not relise what they are doing. As for you Phosphor there is a product on the market called Killz usually in the paint department trie that before you paint and prime and you should (crosses fingers) have more luck. No such thing as natural wood trim as everyone usually stains then seals it. You have to remember wood is light yellow, or white and even if you just seal it it yellows with time, more so if you smoke. Let me know if you want to see the natural color of pine as that is what the trim in our 50 year old house is. Not stained just shelacked. I can also think of 2 things worse than stripping a firepalce those are demolition on any walls with plaster on them, and installing slat board on plaster walls. Home improvement can be hell as it is usually a second job but rewarding when it turns out good. Also remember there are codes that need to be followed when doing certain things, plumbing and elctric come to mind.
  12. Try since 1776, you see it is in our nature to change governments we think are opressive. :D
  13. I don't know the 2 I liked the best were the Aliens inserting the anal probe into Cartman and the subsiquent fire farts, and the one where they are forced to join getting gay with kids. Thats the one with Jenifer Aniston where they go to South America and get lost in the jungle. Words of "wisdom" from Eric Cartman "This country smells like ass."
  14. I must admit I agree with some people that on these types of subjects I normally don't agree with. Langky gave us a perspective none of us has ever seen and that is of one of a citizen under a dictator. While I must agree that Sadam was definately a threat outside of his boarders, remember he did fight with Iran and invade Kuwait. I think Langky showed us how lucky we were to be born in free countries. as for this. Easily said when your not the one at the business end of a gun when all you have to fight with is sticks and rocks.
  15. Expense is a realative term. I stick by my assertion that you can get the exact same parts; except for the case; for a much cheaper price. I am positive if you do the digging you can find the exact parts listed for much cheaper. I have not tried to say Alienware builds a poor computer, I just think they charge to damn much for most of them.
  16. Alienware is no different than any other company, they have there budget, midrange and top of the line PCs. Pre configured ALX area 51 7700 is almost 7000.00, seems a little steep. Preconfigured Dell XPS 4500.00 and the specs are close, not exact but close. So where does all the extra cash go?
  17. You are right about the agp bandwidth but the Athlon 64 is built off the Opteron chip; a server chip; so it was natural to bring the PCIX bus with it to the home user. So far every thing else mentioned is legacy issues, you must remember the reason apple opened it's own business was because IBM thought there would be no market for home use. In other words there is a lot of short sightedness in both the producer and the consumer. If you don't believe me look up the thread on wether NWN 2 should be put out on CD and see what some people think of upgrading.
  18. Apple has said this for ages unfortunatly it took a PC chip maker to say it for everyone to sit up and take notice. The whole reason the 4 bit Athlon is ruling the bench marks is because of the on board memory controller.
  19. P4 3.6 GHZ AMD Athlon 64 fx55 2.4 GHZ Just seen one the other day, new release it will probably be the fastest they will clock them, to many heat issues.
  20. P4 3.6 GHZ AMD Athlon 64 fx55 2.4 GHZ Usually only in bench marks so the people that actually had to have the fastest computer bought P4 and paid a crap load for it. Which now AMD with the fx55 has taken the lead, a chip you will also pay a crap load for.
  21. You forget though that the building they work and reside in was built by stabdard measurement, at least all the ones are where I come from. Looks like we are back to square one. On subjet though that is done with almost every thing made in the food industry.
  22. Once again it is monuments you deem appropriate that would even have the chance. The way I see it is this don't put anything new in public buildings or sights, but if it is a long standing tradition or has been there for more than say 20 years why attack it and cause this division. As for the Native Americans heh there land stretched across the US in parks, private residences, and more than likely some key government instilations so who picks what gets donated? For the most part yes for kicks to see what your answer would be. Now I don't know much about Asia, or the USSR, but at one point if not still today didn't Europe have a majority of christians also? Associated Press Felt I needed to bring this in to try and show you. It was not a submachinegun, or an assault rifle it was a hand gun. Notice the bold underlined portion it basically said we don't care about your constitutional rights because owning a gun is wrong in our eyes. As for the second quote I never seen any exemptions if you put the fire arm in a carrying case you are technically concealling it and I don't know about FedEx and UPS after 9-11 but it is illegal to mail firearms through the Post Office. Yes I do unfortunatly your argument was for the total removal of anything religious from the government and they are government workers. You know what I am going to appologise for that because I really don't recall you bashing religion. It was hold over from a previous thread. You are right about that although I have a felling the reason he fought it so hard was he felt it was a personal attack against his religion. I guess what I have tried to show is that it is public land just as much anyone elses as yours so there will be dissent and arguements on this, why can there not be a compromise found. If it is a long standing tradition why go through all of it and alienate at least half the community for your vindication. While I am being the counter point to this arguement I would never rush to the defense of that type of thing in my community because it is really not that important to me. As I said I am sorry I never meant to.
  23. I am a union laborer that blue collar enough for you?
  24. Yes I do but it still goes to show you are not against having religious monuments or displays on public ground, just the ones you deem inappropriate. Here is a point for debate, would there be christmas vacation or spring break if not for christianity in the US? Remeber spring brake used to be called easter vacation. So it is al right for the rights of the few to trample the rights of the majority? Just curious Why there can not be middle ground found for this argument. No it was a legal hand gun that he had a permit for, the city just arrested him because he wasn't supposed to have a firearm in the city limits. Later after threats of law suits and public out cry all charges were dropped. Also in the city of Chicago how do you get a firearm to your dwelling if you can not carry it in the open or conceal it? I knew what you meant but here is a question if a state road worker wears a shirt that references religion to work does he get reprimanded for it? He is technically a civil servant. Where does the job end and the person begin. I never said morality couldn't exist with out religion, I just tried to show you that the religions you were bashing hold the same type of moral values that you appearantly do. You see it is not all religious people that give religion a bad name it is the zealots, just like it is not all atheists that attack religion usually it is just the ones with something to prove.
  25. Actually I generalised nothing I used his criteria. He said there are people that are highly religious that dispence birth controll while there are religious people who do this, that doesn't make them highly religious people. Does the Pope, or any Cardinals believe in it? I believe myself a religious person but there are things the church teaches that I just don't believe in, gay marriage being wrong is one of them, not using birth control and not performing abortions are 2 more, I also would never consider myself highly religious. Just so you guys know too I was born and raised Luthern about as close as you can get to being catholic with out actually being it. So where is this unity you speak of when all these people speak of seperation of church? I have never said I want a church state what I have said is a compromise needs to be met because all both sides ever do is alienate the other. What I think needs to be done is both sides pick more important things to argue over than a nativity scene being set up next to the town sign, because if that is all the wrong in your life then you have it pretty good.
