  1. It does not matter how long you wait for these modifications. Knights 2 is a great game without the cut content. Even though it does not feel like Star Wars, the game does stand well on its own. TSLRP (Team-Gizka) may be doing this for free, but it doesn't really matter in the long run. People will still download these modification, and they will enjoy a hand few of playthroughs. Most people are sitting quite, and others have already move onto other games. What I don't like is some of the Team member's and followers' big-headed attitude. "The Sith Lords" doesn't need them inorder for it to be a great game. Team-Gizka pretty much hijacked this title by making people think that the cut content is essential, and they are the only modding group in the world whom could save the day. That is very untrue. The cut content doesn't belong to Team-Gizka. It belongs to Lucas Arts. Thank god there will be no hijacking to the MMO.
  2. Who is trying to force Team-Gizka to do something? I'm trying to make a joke at their expense.
  3. Conan O'Brian has this great skit. If you are familiar with the "In the Year 2000" skit with flashlights, I hope you will get the joke. *Clicks on a flashlight, and dims the lights down* Sings, "In the year 4000, In the year 4000." "People will gather and stand side by side on the Great Wall of China celebrating the arrival of a single-player KotOR 3." Sings, "In the year 4000, In the year 4000." "Britney Spear's ancestors will join together in celebration of her inclusion into the super-enhanced edition of Star Wars: A New Hope ." Sings, "In the year 4000, In the year 4000." "George Lucas will be awakened from being frozen in carbonite, and he will bring forth the ten Jedi commandments." Sings, "In the year 4000, In the year 4000." "Team-Gizka finally updates their website with the words, "Coming when its done - We really mean it this time." Sings, "In the year 4000, In the year 4000."
  4. "The Old Republic" will make people apprechiate a few things. First, people will have more respect for singleplayer games. Second, the original "Knights of the Old Republic"'s place in the saga will be solidified. Third, people will not be looking at "The Sith Lords" in the same way anymore. BioWare was the original developer, and the story has returned to their hands. I find that to be win-win. Obsidian's work on "The Sith Lords" can become apprechiated. After reading so many Obsidian articles and interviews, about how "The Sith Lords" fell apart, I think Lucas wants things to settle down for a while. Someday Obsidian my just get another chance, so I wouldn't count them out in the future. "Knights of the Old Republic" is an awsome story to be told. After people experienced the original game, some have become too critical on how they want the story to move forward. If "The Old Republic" didn't have prequels, I don't think people would be knocking on the MMO. Some very harshfull truth about making "The Old Republic" into a MMO: First, game mods will no longer be present. Second, there will not be any third party affiliation hijacking. No one will become famous on someone else's product. Eventhough we lost our ability to modify this game, we gained from preventing a group of hijacking modders from becoming famous. Game developers should allow modding, but they should prevent people from becoming famous through hijacking game titles. Its a loss, but its also a win.
  5. Windows XP v5.1 build 2600 Service Pack 3 Did you have service pack 3 installed during your first play through? Intel
  6. I have never heard of such a thing. You can download versions of the game from online?
  7. This is going to be a great expansion. Neverwinter II is just a blast. Yeah, Obsidian could have done a little more with the main game's story. However, I'm itching to play this game. Yahooo!!!!
  8. Nevermind. I will leave it to those in power.
  9. If you guys want to keep ignoring what is in front of you, it is not BioWare, Obsidian, or Lucas's fault for everyone's dismissiveness. Don't go around hatting the publishers and writters because you don't like the story. Lucas and the Expanded Universe has already told you the details. Take it or leave it. No one said anyone had to like it. Its all about how the story is written. Thats for the new story being told in "The Old Republic". Keep in mind that there is another "The Old Republic" out there, which sheads some light on how past events had unfolded. Don't ignore it. Revan and Exile's story has ended.
  10. I just rechecked my facts. I made a cross connection. After the Dark Lord Naga Sadow was mentioned, he story was imediatly followed with the Emperor's. I ended up crossing both stories while reading. Ooopsy. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Campaign Guide pg.140. She left while under the impression that Revan was a Dark Lord. She went after Revan to confront him. Why? Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Campaign Guide pg.140. She went into Exile for all the hell that went down on Malacore V. This takes place before she learned about the Jedi Civil War. The Jedi Exile has some unfinished buisness with Revan. Why? She answered for his crimes. Otherwords, she went into Exile for Revan and his war. How would anyone feel if the person who they stood trial for had turned to the darkside, and they started an all out Jedi Civil War. Betrayed <--- The theme of The Sith Lords. The Jedi Exile felt betrayed by Revan.
  11. Revan wanted to slow the true Sith threat, for he knew the Republic was not going to be ready. The Sith Lords teaches us that all the Jedi had dissapeared, and there was no one left except for the Jedi Exile to prepare for a possible onslaught. Naga Sadow, 300 years later, ended up surprising everyone with a massive fleet of Sith, and then he also retreated back into the Outer Rim. Revan could not fight Naga Sadow while worrying about others. Defeating a Emporer Naga Sadow would require intense focus. Read the Jedi Code - There is no emotion, there is only peace. Before Revan could get to Naga Sadow, he was confronted by a ticked off Jedi Exile. Revan and the Jedi Exile didn't quite make it to their destination. Just like the meaning behind the true Sith, people keep ignoring stuff that has already been printed. Revan = Male Jedi Exile = Female The Jedi Exile's relationship with Revan was already fleshed out. You can find the answer in the Knights of the Old Republic RPG guide. The Jedi Exile was upset with Revan, for he left her behind on Malacore V. Used like fodder. Someone is one ticked off Jedi, and she is gunning for Revan. You will most likely learn more in the MMO. Thats why 300 years later the Sith invasion was a surprise. No one knew what had happened. Naga Sadow used strong darkside powers to fend off death for 1,000 years. Revan was the only one who knew about Naga Sadow, and he never made it to his destination. Guess why.
  12. The 'True Sith', by appearances, were intended to be something a little more ominous than just 'a Sith Empire, but with even MORE big ships and soldiers and Sith Lords!' Or at least I hope to god Chris A. wasn't simply setting us up for something that shallow and forgettable. Nope. Your Kreia dialogue pretty much sums up what I have been saying. I see a lowercase 't' in the phrase 'true Sith Empire'. The Old Republic is right on track. I think people wanted the story to be more complex. Lets face one fact here. Obsidian had to rush towards the deadline. Some pieces were accidently left out, and others were cut on purpose. How much do you want to make a bet that Obsidian messed up on editting dialogue. Rush, rush, rush... They didn't have time to finish, and that included missing some grammer errors along the way. Remember this BioWare and Lucas were involved in the development of KotOR I, KotOR II, and now SWTOR storyline. Its was all planed that way. Storytellers are taught to be complex but simple, and that is just what they delivered.
  13. The question was, "What are the 'True Sith'?". Obsidian's story would have been the same as BioWare's. They both got the idea from one location. BioWare and Lucas originally consulted Obsidian, so one could conclude that the story never changed. I used three sources: Star Wars Databank, Star Wars Wiki, and The Old Republic Game Site. The Star Wars Databank & Expanded Universe is where Obsidian and BioWare got the idea. People have been telling everyone for years. I have one other source; which I could use to answer your question. That will make it four sources in total. The 'True Sith' storyline was not a big secret. Everyone just ignored the truth. 'True Sith" = the true Sith threat. Nothing more, nothing less. It was that simple.
  14. LucasArts has the right to do whatever they want. Yes, this is a sad day for Knights of the Old Republic. Maybe the number of subscriptions will be down for The Old Republic, and it may get BioWare and LucasArts to rethink the singleplayer idea. *Keep dreaming Marcus, keep dreaming.* According to BioWare executives and such, The Old Republic is going to take place of parts 3-10. Yes, this does mean the end to the current running KotOR storyline, but it does not mean it is the end of a singleplayer KotOR experience. I have only played two other MMOS, and I have come to think that they are only a massive 3D chatroom. Star Wars: Gallaxies is a massive online chatroom with a 3D environment, which is filled with absolute garbage and nonesense. BioWare may prove everyone wrong, or they will end up in the wastelands of MMOs. Its not my money they are wasting, so I'm not worried about them failing. If you don't like to play MMOs, I suggest you should skip this one game.
  15. Obsidian has already made it publically clear that they would like to work on KotOR III. Its all about getting LucasAsrts to give them a chance. You know how that will go.
  16. We progressed from 5 to 9. Progress, or regress? Shhh... You are not allowed to use the 'r' word. Shhh...
  17. I work from 9:00 to 5:00 tomorrow, so it would be very easy to make such a progression. J/K. It all depends on how motivated Dashus and his team becomes. Its been sitting on 5 for a good three or four months.
  18. Amazing, I guess you cannot comprehend that most, if not all, of the people who support Team Gizka think that The Sith Lords was a good game - albeit one that was rushed to publication by LucasArts. Team Gizka is not "here to save the day," they are here to make a good game better. As for the "growing up" part of your post, well... All I am going to say is that your little hissy fit is the most immature thing posted in this thread for quite some time. Yeah. This thread shows it well. People have to get their lips off of Team-Gizka's behind. "Knights of the Old Republic" will live on, and Team-Gizka is a side note. All I care about is Obsidian's footnote to the series.
  19. Your opinion is NOT the people's opinion. Keep your MMO LURVE talk in the MMO threads. Your opinion is not the people's either. Somewhere along the way people stopped being fans of "The Sith Lords", and then they became minions of "Team-Gizka". I wonder why? Do you people have such a low opinion about "The Sith Lords" that is has caused you to lose objectivity? I'm here to talk about Obsidian's work. I'm a raving Obsidian fan. I will express my opinion, period. This thread is about the freedom to express one's thoughts about "Team-Gizka". Good and bad opinions are allowed here. I'm a Obsidian fan 100%. All I get from reading this thread is how bad Obsidian did work on "The Sith Lords", and how Team-Gizka is here to save the day. I would have closed this thread for bashing my company's software by now. Get a job and grow up. BioWare saved the day. Also, don't call Obsidian out of the game yet. Someday they may just get the chance to make a sequel. Time will tell. Until we have reached such a time, enjoy the third sequel to The Old Republic. Team-Gizka who? I don't know a "Team-Gizka". I only know about Obsidian, BioWare, "The Sith Lords", "Knights of the Old Republic", Lucas Arts, and "The Old Republic". Objectivity dictates such logistics.
  20. Nonesense. There are plenty of other game mods out there. How do you know that there are not any answers in the up coming game? What factors do you have? Where does it say that "The Old Republic" doesn't answer the missing pieces found in "The Sith Lords"? Show me your proof.
  21. TSLRP doesn't really matter now. If this was released several years ago, I think there would be more people interested. "The Old Republic" has already pushed people's interest further down the storyline. Jedi Exile and Revan's fate will be explored in the new MMO. The HK-Factory and the ending to "The Sith Lords" has finally been fleshed out by BioWare. Look at the new swtor.com site, and you will see how insignificat the HK-Factory is to the overall story. I'm more geared towards playing the first "Knights of the Old Republic" game. Team-Gizka was not done in time, and that is not anyone else's problem except for theirs. Who really cares at this point. I'm sure they did a great job, but its too late for me to even bother. Says who? You. "Knights of the Old Republic" is moving into comics, games, and many other directions. There will continuously be room for a singleplayer game. Whenever a series like this is successful, the publishers seem to find ways to keep it going. I'm beginning to think that Team-Gizka has members with big heads. Get over yourselves. Plus, they haven't done anything visually significant in recent memory. All they did is splash on a few words, and then everyone started yelling, "They are making progress." Where did they make progress? Adding a few words to a webpage is not progress. Its called stalling for time. People are getting bored from waiting. Well, I hate to burst your bubble, The Wait Is Over!
