  1. Be sure to set the video options to the resolution of your monitor, looks tons better than the default.
  2. Yes, that graph shows the longer UK waited to fight, the worse off they became, and the war was inevitable anyway, unless they wanted to become a German vassal. That was Churchill's point. He was going to use poison gas if Germans invaded Britain also. Everyone used poison gas in WWI, and the only reason they didn't in WW2 was fear of retaliation, not moral principles. Churchill made many mistakes, but he also did many things right and brilliantly, he was a real risk taker. For example he was instrumental in the development of the tank, and came up with the floating harbors, the Mulberrys, used in the Normandy invasion. As far as Gallipoli, he was more responsible for the Dardanelles, which was the naval operation, while Gallipoli was a land operation, since he was the First Lord of the Admiralty. Even there, if the war cabinet made the decision to attack Dardanelles when Churchull first proposed it, and thus the Turks wouldn't had the time to mine them, the operation would've succeeded. But no question Churchill had a lot of hare brained ideas. Someone said he had 100 ideas a day, 4 of which were good. And of course his leadership did save Britain, when everyone thought they were finished, and he was a very strong leader, certainly not a figurehead at all.
  3. Amazing ignorance of history. It was Germany that was extremely weak at the time, German troops were under orders to withdraw if confronted during the occupation of Rheinland.
  4. Finished DAO and I have to say I'm quite disappointed with the room clearing simulator.
  5. If you're having crashes when clicking on the arena master, try standing a little further from him (2 squares I think). That might help. Something they're working on but haven't been able to reproduce so far.
  6. Hillary and Obama, that wacky couple, promised the developing world $100 billion a year if they'd sign on to the treaty, to compensate them for damage CO2 is causing them or some such.
  7. Sure it can, just has nothing to do with AOD.
  8. That whole storyline didn't make much sense to me, and seemed very contrived.
  9. All of a sudden I feel much better about our new evil overlords.
  10. Oh, OK, thanks. I was hoping I could find that out during the Orzammar quest, to help me make the decision.
  11. These days, it's the art style that matters. You need talent to get a decent art style, not a million "artists" to do a billion hi-res textures. This is how you get from this: To this: 2D game, has nothing to do with anything
  12. What? Instead of 10,000 repetitive battles and 10,000 Codex entries? What kind of crummy RPG design would that be? Btw, how do you find out what happened in the Dwarven royal family? I took Bhalen's side and didn't see any of it.
  13. Age of Decadence should have the combat demo out by Christmas, and Combat Mission: Normandy should be out by spring. Yeay!
  14. It's not about the environment, it's about totalitarian control, stopping economic progress, and redistributing wealth instead. Now get back in your place! http://m.guardian.co.uk/?id=102202&sto...define-humanity
  15. It's not strawman. You mentioned that it's easy to imagine how things would have gone had the results of past events gone differently. I contend that it's impossible to imagine how things would have gone with any accuracy. Given ideas of some things being objectively good or evil, coupled with your notion (and support for a diety) because "things have gone well," my commentary directly relates to the topic since my point is that the only reason why things "have gone well" is because it is in line with your current socialization. However, since you did just state that there certainly is some ways you'd still be the same, would you care to elaborate on which ways you'd still be the same? Well, having been born in a totalitarian dictatorship, I'd say I'd pretty much be the same in every aspect. Conservatism extends beyond fiscal policy, and fascists are typically regarded as right wing for their socially conservative beliefs. Yes, nice chart there, socially conservative beliefs are fascist, and conservatism is authoritarian, someone needs to hurry up and tell Thomas Jefferson.
  16. May be they have a trade association that makes sure everything is compatible, that's how things work now a lot of the time. More loot is good, ME didn't have enough interesting loot.
  17. Yes, and they must live in an evil culture if what you say is true.
  18. Hmm, default is almost the same as mine. I must be doing something right.
  19. Judging from you lack of knowledge of right and wrong I'd say you would be. Edit: It's a slur on the conservatives to say the nazis were right wing, how can Socialists be right wing, it makes no sense at all.
  20. @alanschu: It's a strawman argument because you're arguing against something I didn't say, however I did misread your statement and you're saying "in any way" which I read as "in every way". In that case you're still wrong because certainly is some ways I'd still be the same, or at least there's no proof that I'd be completely different, it not like there weren't people with morals even under the worst circumstances in history.
  21. The advantage that the PS3 has is that there are some developers who actually write a brand new engine for it, instead of using the same crappy UE3 that everyone on the 360 uses.
  22. Sometimes it's hard to tell if people are evil or mentally ill, like whoever made that movie.
