i'd say no chance, though you never know. interplay owns the rights and since they all but kicked the bucket, i doubt they'll make a new one. does beth own the rights to special, too? cause if they do, they could potentially make a new, lionheartish game.

the game is almost 10 years old, and if you havent played it yet then maybe you shouldnt read topics about it. there's a time limit on how long spoiler tags are needed, and it's less than 10 years.

yr being stupid. no one would want that, not the developers nor Ford. i'm talking about real advertising, not yr exaggarated negative perspection of it. then again we're more conservative here in finland than in the us, and have some moral rules in what you can do and what you can't. so maybe i'm wrong and thats how it would end like. i dunno, ads in games would just open a whole new way for small / medium developers to get enough money to actually finish their games and get a publisher.

as long as the companies advertising their pruducts wont call the shots, i'm all for ads in games. hell, if WoW would had ads they could (potentially) cut down the montly fee and i could/would play it.

if it was a small add in the menu? or the game box? advertising is a huge business, and i think that smaller developers could sell advertising space from their games and make more money that way.

i think it's a step forward to be honest, i work in the advertising industry and games have been an unappreciated media for too long. as long as it's done in good taste and doesnt break the immersion, i'm all for it. it just means more money to the developers. of course theres always the risk of companies getting to decide how they want their products to be used in the games, thus affecting the outcome and possibly ruining a game.
