  1. some links: Features for the fan patch jagged alliance 2 wikipedia site New Screen #1 Screen #2, high resolutions FTW! Screen #3
  2. I'm installing this at the moment, i've previously played the vanilla version without UB and i found it way too easy. Just wait until night, crouch, prowl around and kill everyone who comes in your way. I gave up halfway because it was just boring. Now i just read about the latest fan patch that adds (!!) over 200 new guns, support for higher resolutions and numerous fixes and tweaks to make the game more challenging. I decided i had to give it another try since i really liked it at first. i'll post some pikks later. Everyone who's interested are welcome to start a new game with me so we can compare.
  3. i've never heard them, but the name is really horrible. they better be good with a name like that.
  4. annoying, isnt it?
  5. almost every game out there is just find the bad guy and kill him. or find artifact x and save the kingdom/world/your home village.
  6. Cute is What We Aim For, horrible name. edit: krookie deleted his post so mine doesnt make any sense
  7. stop lying.
  8. Peter Bjorn And John - Young Folks "Writer's Block" it is possible to make good christian music, some pedro the lion is good and page france while not rock per se is pretty dang sweet.
  9. Bob Dylan - Thunder On The Mountain "Modern Times" awesome.
  10. the waiting game. i'm getting off work in an hour.
  11. yeah cage is sweet, agent orange is a classic. one of the eeriest beats ever. i enjoy crime movies/literature too, but for some reason gansta rap just turns me off. there are of course some exceptions to this np: kraftwerk - computer love "computer world" i'm still shocked that coldplay blatandly ripped kraftwerk off. and theres been no mention of it anywhere.
  12. double post np: american analog set - baby julie come home "promise of love"
  13. i prefer 2 to 1, although 1 had a better plot. but 2 has the take all button, so it kinda makes up for it.
  14. nice interview.
  15. @ baley: some rap lyrics are indeed witty, clever and even beautiful, i just dont think 2pac is. and i mean no offense, as i have friends who listen to rap religiously and i include rap albums in my all time top 10. hell, i'd go see dizzee or cage or doom or kool keith in a split second if they came to this wretched, frozen country. but mainstream rap, post doggystyle & 36 chambers is just all about bling. making money. and i really cant relate to that. neither can i relate to glorified gang banging, which seemed to have been the dominant subejct in rap lyrics in the 90s. the 2000s have so far been worse, all the good artists are deep, deep underground with no hope on getting to the charts. people like 2pac, biggie and p diddlydoo have ruined rap as people think it's just that. when it's not. or isnt supposed to be. or something. now that i read what i wrote, it doesnt make any sense and is generally incorrect and i'm overlooking tons and tons of great rappers who sold a lot but never sold out. but my opinion stands. rap today is saturated with so-so rappers who have the neptunes or whoever behind them and sell a lot because of that. and imo thats just wrong. /end rant. ps. that 8 am all day is a classic. i'm at work, so i have to listen to stuff from my nano on topic: cage - grand ol' party crash (feat jello biafra)
  16. i still have to confess that 25 % of the music i listen to is rap/hip-hop or similar. i used to be into rap a lot when i was younger, but now i just find most of the lyrics, despite being how clever, redundant (is God just another cop, waiting to beat my ass if I don't go pop being a good example. thats just stupid.) edited not to double post: Built To Spill - Liar "You In Reverse"
  17. wu meets the indie culture was boring. i just can't get into the whole rap mentality anymore. thats why doom with his crazy rhymes and cage with his sick, white boy stuff are the only things i listen to. i'm not black, i'm not gangsta (whatever that means), i dont smoke pot or do drugs, i dont like to go to clubs, i think the police are okay and i respect women. what does rap mainstream rap have to offer me? 99 % of rap nowadays is just stupid. to me.
  18. Elliott The Letter Ostrich - Shake It In The Uh-Huh "Blood Cape"
  19. i've never been a fan of mainstream rap. cage, doom and electro fusion stuff like shadow huntaz are all rap i listen to nowadays. at least they're taking rap forward and not just trying to cash out. and while i recognise the genius of wu-tang, all of their solos have left me cold. not sure why. except ol dirty. that guy was hardcore.
  20. Nice, Adolph Hitler.
  21. hip hop is dead. only ones keeping it afloat is doom and kids like spank rock. rappers include doom himself, wildchild, kadence, ad, beans, vast aire etc. all good stuff.
  22. Dabrye - Encoded Flow (Feat Kadence) "Two Three" all you rap cats need to get this. almost makes up for the lack of mf doom albums this year.
  23. Paavoharju - Musta Katu "Yh
  24. New Decemberists is boring. Then again they've always been boring, meh.
  25. it's really funny, but very unstable under XP. worth it if you get it running though.
