  1. So The Force Unleashed is going to have b00bs, lightsabers and... uh... even more b00bs? I wish LucasArts stopped milking the Star Wars license and once again started developing cool games like this:
  2. Keep your whiny Carth away from Atton.
  3. What Gorth said. Hanharr gets my vote simply because he is the only character built around the concept of life debts who doesn't suck. As for T3... Well, it's amazing how much personality you can put in a droid who can't even speak coherently.
  4. I was actually very surprised of how little stuff I didn't know Scorchy's LP contained. The fact that so many people went "Wow! I never noticed that!" even when he was talking about bits of the story that hadn't been cut and simply required a bit of thinking to figure out shows that most gamers are unattentive and don't bother to memorize what NPCs tell them. This makes me a sad panda.
  5. It is more of impatience than lack of faith.
  6. Well, I'm pretty certain that AP is going to be a fantastic game with intelligent writing. With Brian "Bloodlines" Mitsoda being the creative lead there is really no other option. I was simply trying to get something more substantial than "an agent goes rogue after screwing an imortant mission" from Annie.
  7. Annie, we have already heard about the chick-bagging part. You'd better be more specific if you want us to be excited about how mature Alpha Protocol is. Hint: summary of a morally gray quest or some dialogue extracts would be appreciated.
  8. Syriana? I want this game, NOW!
  9. Haha, this thread is full of epic win.
  10. T3-M4 rules supreme. "[Persuade] Beep dee-reet" makes me laugh whenever I see it.
  11. Don't get me wrong, people who are surprised by even the most predictable plot twists are not necessarily dumb. No matter how smart you are, if you relax, turn your brain off while you're playing a game and don't even try to give the plot some thought, you'll be easily surprised by pretty much anything.
  12. A Torchic here.
  13. I was expecting TEH PLOT TWIST in KotOR Seriously, the only way not to see it coming is not to think about the story at all.
  14. A ToEE-style turn-based Icewind Dale game using 4th Edition ruleset would be tyte. There, I said it.
  15. http://www.uspto.gov/main/profiles/acadres.htm Do a trademark search and you'll get this: I wonder who could develop a sequel...
  16. Damn, and I was certain that crate jokes were references to this article.
  17. You may also consider praying before running the game. As of yet, nobody has figured out what makes Odyssey Engine work, with the tears of infants and the blood of virgins being popular theories.
  18. Some people prefer polished mediocrity, while others give preference to rough diamonds. I think we can agree that we disagree. I was saying that there always was a company better than BioWare. Nobody said Torment was perfect. Its combat certainly was something to be endured rather than enjoyed. Thieves with high Charisma score could avoid plenty of fighting though. And this is the best part. You have to replay the game several times to get everything it has to offer. Patience and thoroughness should be rewarded. Prejudices in action. Bloodlines, Deus Ex and System Shock 2 are among my favorites. There was nothing wildly ambitious about BioShock. It didn't do anything SS 2 hadn't done better. The only thing that stood out about it was art direction. It is. If you try to satisfy everyone you get a very shallow game. It may be commercially successful, but it will be quickly forgotten. I know it.
  19. BioWare is the most commercially successful RPG developer out there, I'm not going to argue that. They are nothing compared to Troika, BIS or Obsidian when it comes to creativity and originality, however.
  20. Dear sir, don't even bother to try to drag me into a flame war. I will only reply to constructive posts that feature such things as "logic" and "arguements". Consult a dictionary if you are unsure of the meaning of these words.
  21. Speak for yourself. Pathologic, Tension, The 7th Guest are not fun, yet I enjoy them and rank them much higher than generic BioWare game #17. This was sarcasm, right? Because you gave us one of the best descriptions of BioShock I've ever heard. "Boring" and "not fun" are completely different things. Is Seven Samurai a fun movie? Hardly. Does this fact make it a boring film? You can't be serious, you really can't. You know, among the things that can render a person absolutely uncredible in my eyes statements like this come on top.
  22. And this is precisely what is wrong with gaming press in general. It ranks enternaining higher than good, George Lucas higher than Terry Gilliam.
