"Consulting with Original developer X" is just nice PR so that the fans don't completely lose it and cause havok. I doubt Remedy could provide a full time writer to help on MP3. "Consulting" is just sitting down and talk 5% about the game, 95% drining beer and make jokes about "fans".

I have seen enough already to determine it will be better than anything Remedy will every be able to accomplish.

I love it when people are criticising MP3 for the same things that MP1/2 did, only that MP3 does it 100x better. Plus I like the new setting. Face it, Rockstar > Remedy.

How was it overrated ? The killcams will be cool up to the 4th time, I guess. Killcams are getting old, but slomo not? You must have gotten bored with MP1/2 pretty quickly then.

Seems like Obsidian really has trouble establishing a stable working environment. Maybe it's better for them to become super-small like inXile and only make Kickstarter games now, since it seems more games are getting canceled than released.

For starters, it looks a lot better than that overrated garbage that was made by Remedy a decade ago.

GFWL has a crap pacthing system, is a memory hog, and well, is from MS. I take Steam or Origin over it anytime, anywhere.

I value this forum due to having a nice community, not because Obsidian makes RPGs. But I like RPGs, too.

I know a couple people in the betas. One didn't like numerous things about it (skill UI for one) back in late Feb...and then fell silent. The other, more recently, described the experience as "does feel simpler than D2 but still fun." I'm still not buying, even if it's awesome. And I'm sure it'll still be considered awesome by most. No doubt it's gonna be a fun game. It's just not 2000 anymore, so I look at different priorities in games these days. I still kinda hope that Blizzard one day is gonna make a full blown RPG, maybe set in Sanctuary? I'd buy that. But Diablo 3 right now just looks too banal.

Game looks rather underwhelming after watching countless LP videos. But watching Diablo is different than playing it. Somebody got into the Beta and descibe the whole "feeling"?

It totally will. That's why I stopped playing after 3 hours. Played Darkness 2, but uninstalled it. It just sucks. Right now I have nothing to play till Max Payne 3 comes out.

This might come as a surprise to you, but there are also lots of people in Austria who are into causing themselves pain. How they choose to do it doesn't really have any relevance, whether we condone of the acts or not. No, it's not tradition for Austrians to mutilate themselves. I can only refer to Demon's Souls (Dark is pretty much similar), but it is anything but a grindfest. Grinding is basically tedious and boring, while the Souls games require all your skill and concentration, that's why it is so addicitve. Gonna get Dark Souls day 1 for sure.
