  1. I thought Alan Wake would use multicore-threads for physics/dynamics calculation. But for Bioshock this would make sense too.
  2. Never mind Volo.
  3. Which would drastically slow down the pace of conversations, something the devs want to avoid. Haven't you figured out yet Bio wants to bring teh ultimate Sci-Fi Blockbuster to your Xbox360 yet?
  4. It's the AI baby, something System Shock 2 lacked or only tried to emulate via scripts. If the ecology really turns out as compelling and complex as Ken mentioned, the game will offer lots of surprises, which keeps the gameplay fresh. There's nothing worse than predictability in a game.
  5. While I myself would have prefered a Sci-Fi setting (heck lets just say Shock 3), I trust the devs that they know what they're doing and what they want to achieve. Do you rather want to see a System Shock 3 published by EA who only wants to see $$$ or a new IP that actually gets supported by it's publisher? Oh and yes, System Shock 2 sucked graphically, and having Quake 3 and UT as competitors surely didn't help it to get any attention outside of hardcore gamers either. But Bioshock is going to be a big-budget game now, with the latest and greatest Bells & Whistles so that the mass market gets attention too, but in it's core it's still about intelligent, emergent gameplay. Irrational would be fools to just turn it into a dumb clickfest FPS.
  6. Mass Effect != Dragon Age. Different games, different teams, different goals. Now go and sleep over it!
  7. EvilAvatar has a new two-part interview with teh man! Read Part1 and Part2 now! And since uncle Morgoth is always good to you kids, I'm even gonna post an incredibly new screenshot here!
  8. Yeah, Jade has a smile that let men drag down onto their knees.
  9. Doesn't matter. In the end, it's all the same lame stuff created my the same stinky nerds.
  10. Paladins are Good, Nightelves are Evil, and Dwarfes are funny! That's all I need to know to embark a D&D journey! HA! Good Fun!
  11. Meh, who cares? I got my Gothic 3 today (Ebay FTW!), so now I'm just waiting for Patch #4 that shall come out in 2 weeks so I can finally beat up some orcs.
  12. Seems like the political situation never wants to stabilize there. Just like since the last few weeks again, Roma-Hungarians come with their vans (haven't done that since 5 years around here) and collect everything they can get, like bicycles, winter tires, cloth etc. and sometimes even steal if they must (my uncles car just got stolen last week. LOL). Not sure about how that is related to the recent uprisings, but I'm wondering how that minority gets treated in Hungary generally, because they wouldn't need to collect garbage if they'd actually get more support from the Hungarian government.
  13. Well having different language or culture certainly don't disintegrate a country. It's nationalism founded on such integrants that rips a nation apart. I just have to take a look what happened with my own country like 100 years ago.
  14. I've tried out WOW (14 day trial for 2
  15. What now? Do you hate MMORPGs or the monthly fees?
  16. Please Left-Mouse-click once here! Thank you! Story-based MMORPG, somewhat contradicting. But if Bio cracks the nut and people buy that, they can throw Blizzard from the throne. Discuss, you MMORPG lovers you!
  17. Yeah, for Bio. To me it's still BG2 in terms of singleplayer quality.
  18. It's so funny that every, I mean every thread related to Bioware ends up into some sort of whiny NWN bashing.... Oh well. Dragon Age != NWN. Btw, BG2 is still Bio's flagship. This may change when I finally play JE next year, but we'll see. Glancing over the DA forums here and there and reading Gaiders comments, I'd say DA may top BG2 easily in every way possible.
  19. Volo knows how to teach you lessons! DA != ME. Two completely different teams, two completely different games.
  20. I also hope they're gonna have that nasty dragon in the picture. Seeing that guy talking and breathing with actually moving his mouth should make a better impression. I wouldn't mind having a relationship with a Dragon a'la Dragonheart too. Hey! Maybe he could be a party-member!
  21. Well he looks better than a Kathhound at least! I just wonder what this tiny plate on the shoulder is for.... Cosmetic? Protection?
  22. German print mag GameStar have visited Bioware for a DA preview. Take a look at some awesome Dragon Age thumbnails! Bio FTW!
  23. That depends on the focus and company culture. In an ISO Fallout game, I'd say yes, in a Oblivion style game, I'd say NO. For Bethesda generally, you can always say NO, because magical Todd will write all teh awesome story and dialogs alone!
  24. Funny thing is that "Writing skills" is just a plus, not mandatory.
  25. Modders will design Fallout 3 dungeons! Apply for a job now to work for the greatest game company to make awesome dungoens for the Excellent FalloutĀ® 3 game.
