  3. CDProjekt confirms: PC version of Witcher 3 will be better than Next-Gen console versions. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-02-11-the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-will-look-better-on-pc-than-next-gen-consoles-dev-says **** me. This game looks good.

  5. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/08/microsoft-insider-claims-it-should-refocus-on-pc What is this, someone from Microsoft talking sense? Oh wait, my mistake. Ex-Microsoft.
  6. Chris Taylor is a very emotional man right now An idealist, but ultimately a failure in today's business environment. Sorry Chris, being a passionate nerd alone doesn't cut it anymore. This isn't the 1990s anymore.
  7. I sincerely regret that I didn't pledge when the W2 Kickstarter was running. This whole kickstarter thing didn't really grab my attention back then. But I'm gonna gladly fork out good money at release 'cause this really looks like "rebirth of old-skool" done right.
  8. Stupidity and laziness just doesn't pay off anymore, Chris. Sorry. It's time for the free market to let do it's thing.
  9. I'm also a bit worried about Lucas Arts actually. With 1313, they finally have a SW game in development I can look forward to again since....Kotor 2. Disney is gonna make them do stupid things once they have finished that up. Like social/mobile/casual crap or whatever.
  10. We're talking here about Disney alright. I think they might have the same mentality as EA or Activision does, and that is that they only do business with really big developers that can produce outstanding production values where style and "playing safe" is more important than actually creating something fresh or risky. You know, something that Obsidian/Kotor fans would usually expect. Obsidian is more the sort of developer suited for medium-sized publishers. Also Disney Interactive's treatment of it's internal developers in the past was horrendous. They shut down so many studios, I think they just don't "get" games.
  11. According to fans who got an early copy, Aliens: CM is even worse than AvP2010
  12. Polygon info-dump Some posters have reasoned out an interesting concept: What if the murder being investigated is your own? I'm interested... http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-02-08-square-enix-reveals-murdered-soul-suspect-via-arg Detective/Ghost/Horror mix from the studio where also the original Portal creator works at? Yeah, this game suddendly climbed up into my top-five list.
  13. Hey guys, remember RAGE? They're gonna release the Mod Tools after "some" delays, namely today. Is gonna come as a handy 35GB download.
  14. Square-Enix is teasing a new game - again. http://murdered.com/
  15. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/redthread/dreamfall-chapters-the-longest-journey You know what to do, ladies and gents.
  16. Obsidian trying it's luck again pitching a new Star Wars game to Disney Go Go Go!
  17. MachineGames working on new Wolfenstein game Swedes do Nazis best so this should be fun.
  18. I already see it coming: Half-Life 3 debuting exclusively on Steambox (and PC) and being accompanied with concurrent Half-Life movie release directed by super-star J.J. Abrams that enjoys massive hype and a marketing campaign as big as Star Wars or Avatar. Gabe will calmly stroke his mighty beard. Ballmer will die on a hard attack. The internet will explode. Everyone will go nuts.
  19. J.J. Abrams interview I like what he's saying.
  20. Remember Me - new video: Hmm... DX:IW aesthetics meets Batman AA combat?
  21. Gabe Newell talks about his vision for Steam
  22. French artiste' extraordinaire with that Anglo stage name David CAGE rants about the game industry refusing to grow up - again. DICE 2013 speech. And also gives advice on how to solve this conundrum. I liked this one best: "Establish new relationships with Hollywood. Related to the idea above, he wants to see actors, smart creative people bringing their talents to games. And he thinks that the filmmaking masters of linear storytelling could collaborate with game designers to make a new kind of medium." Yeah Dave. Because the game industry only has dumb****s and we need these "smart" people from movies to show them peasant game industry rednecks how to create great stories! If this guy was only half as ignorant as he is, would he still have ever heard of MCA, Tim Schafer, Shelton Pasccoti, Mark Laidlaw, and even Ken Levine and the supa-duo of Arkane? 'Cause these guys understand quite some more about interactive storytelling than you ever will, David. Carry on. I still like what you're trying to achieve, but you don't have to be so dickish about it. And good luck with that insolvency process of QD when your next "game" becomes a flop.
