Religion doesn't turn people into zealots. The reason why these Afghans are so violent is because they didn't get a humane upbringing. Living in such an envirionemnt certainly doesn't help.

Finished Crysis 2. Pretty much the best shooter since HL2. And teh graphics! :drool:

The original are 1650x1080. Imeshack makes them smaller even though I didn't say so. Either way, screenshots don't do this game any justice, it looks so much better in motion.

Not anytime soon... Well unless you count the NGP and the 3DS. new xbox will be released in november 2013. i feel it in my soul. PS4 will be released november 2014. My guess is they would rather wait one more year, but will be forced to go in 2014 or lose too much ground to MS. The only one im not sure about is the Wii2. I would say november 2013 for that one too, but i don't know if they will go toe-to-toe with microsoft, whichever company announces their new console first (E3 2012) will get the pick of the date, the other company will release 6 months after, so i guess spring of 2014. i'd say that there is a much higher chance that MS will announce first. And, as I said, it's going to be a surprise announcement at E3 next year. This year is going to be more garbage for kinect etc, nothing exciting at all, and the gaming media will begin speculating about new consoles, setting up fanboy expectations for the 2012 announcement so there won't be a big backlash of "too soon". You'll all know I'm going to be right when after this years E3 we start seeing articles in the big press (gamespot, ign) about when the next consoles will be released. mark your calenders. An internal document by MS has revealed they plan to launch the next home console in 2015. PS4 will probably come around 2015, 2016 as well, after the 10 year life cycle of the PS3.

The irony is strong in this post. The dudes at Blizzard are the only ones you get this stuff right. That game has been suspiciously long in development...

Auto aim has been disabled with the first patch, and Crysis 2 still looks better than all other games supposedly using DX11.

Use the mouse-wheel for zoom in/out, use RMB for panning.

Played some more Crysis 2. The plot is really bollocks but I really love how battles unfold and how you have to deal with it. That is, with hard difficulty, anything less makes it probably a cakewalk.

Eh, you don't need to play the whole game again to enjoy the DLC. I'd say drop Kasumi, it was too short, but Shadowbroker was great.

Those silly commercials don't really do DA2 any justice. Remember the silly marketing campaign for DA:O and how outraged people where, just to find out that the game end up being your typical Bioware production with all the good and the bad stuff that comes with it.

Wasn't there a similar tactical mode in Crysis 1? Not that I remember, unless you mean something different. The tactical mode in C2 highlights ammunition boxes and let's you target bad guys so that you can keep track on them.

Either way, I agree that most games these days aren't worth full price, but the design and the production values are totally top notch, I say if you are a fan of intelligent shooters then go for it, otherwise wait for a price drop.

Yeah, it was pretty easy to fool around with the Koreans. C2 I would say is now a harder game, the AI also tries to encircle you from different directions which is nice. Running away and taking cover now is critical, there's also a nice feature that when you are in cover, you can lean out with the mouse instead of a shortcut, which feels more natural.

I've read comments that the suit systems are less interesting and more automated than in the first game. For example, not only do you automatically acivate the suit's speed system when you run, but you can't run WITHOUT the suit automatically activating, and that running with the suit enhancement isn't particularly fast to begin with now. What's your take? Maximum Speed in C1 was pointless to begin with. There's now a tactical mode that let's you target bad guys for tracking, there's the Armor mode which I find myself using more often, also stabilizes your aim and dampens falling from heigh. And of course invisibility, and the tactical modules for your weapon.

For the record, I'm playing this on PC and I don't feel the game is dumbed down. It has more structure to the gameplay now that it isn't so open like Crysis 1 but I like that way better, because Crysis 1 was a borefest.

You know that HL2 is my favorite FPS evah, but Crysis 2 comes close to it.
