XBOX 360 4mb patch: what does it fix?
yoomazir replied to rafoca's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
newest F:NV patch is 16 MB... -
I already beat the game once with Lucas, just trying to get that hardcore achievement among other things. It's okay now, I didn't have the mirror skill back then but now things are easier, GoA is okay but so far my strategy is: mirror+clockwork trap, roll back then ranged attacks. BTW, any idea at how are the master skills Electrocute & Creative Destruction?

Okay I don't know if I need to restart again but so far, I'm lvl 8 and focused Reinhart in the Lightning aspect and so far...he suck, his spells take forever to cast and his close melee attack isn't that great...by the time I'm casting a spell, I am surrounded by half a dozen of ennemies and die. Right now I'm at the forest , before meeting the Radiant Child and he gets literally owned by those wolfpacks, right now I have the feeling that Reinhart sucks... So before stoping playing this game and throwing it to the garbage bin I wanted to be sure that Reinhart is useless on hardcore, if anyone here have a better strategy for him, please, feel free to post here. thx in advance.

ain't you the smart one... last time you checked, did DS3 possess a discussion wheel similar to ME? Which is something that feel it was totally unnecessary, the game didn't have any need for that. It's nice, but no one cares for it in a supposed Hack & Slash looting game. -

To be honest, trying each class is the only reason I would play this game more than once. Let's check what the game offer: - no real exploration - no real loot - few side quests - companions influence, what for? - vendors will always have the same items in their shops. - aptempt to emulate and make us care for a story, by making decisions, set in the wrong genre of game. - plastic graphics - online...what, I don't even... I could go on and on and on but in resume: this is a poor Diablo clone and a poor ME/DA wannabe, overall, this game would fared better if it was a XBLA game. I don't regret my purchase, but I would suggest to any potential buyer to wait for a price drop before getting this game. to the devs: if you can't properly mix 2 genres either focus on one genre or the other. -
Okay, so I've been playing a bit this game and I have mixed feelings: I expected a heavy based loot driven game with loots of enemies/bosses to loot and large areas to explore, instead I get a "light" version of Baldur's Gate:DA with Mass Effectish conversations (and animations?) running in corridors... On the other side the classes are fun, not the bests, but fun nontheless. It feels like the tried to mix genres into this game and in the end they didn't manage to get the best of each genre into it. Goodamn it, I guess I'm gonna get stuck with Sacred 2 for a long time...

Sega or the worst publisher EVER

The answer to ONE of those is a yes. The rest are no's. LET THE SPECULATION BEGIN! EDIT: One of them is also a maybe. haha My pick: -MAYBE no more Fallout games made by Obsidian -YES, I can trade my...oh wait...hum, might pick something else instead...
-
is this the end? is Obsidian closing? no more good rpgs? are we going to end up playing only Bioware so called rpgs? no more good Fallout games? the end of games with good stories? can't trade my fat mom for some hot chick? no...just no...nononononononononononono....oh God please no... (Dark Vader voice)NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! More seriously, those layoffs are common practice, I don't think that means the end of Obsidian, I think that they will rehire people when the time requires it...at least that's what I'm hoping for.

-.- Nice, this will allow me to properly play Hunted the Demon's Forge -
Sorry about that, it's just I was hyped for the game but only recently found about those articles, kinda pissed me. Still gonna get the game when it comes out though...

http://www.co-optimus.com/interview/707/pa...interviews.html "CO: So any loot that you find is actually going to go to the host player? RT: The inventory is actually shared. The (inventory) screen that the host is using is only going to show the inventory that he can equip. Most of the pieces are unique to the characters. The two types that are shared are rings and amulets; those can go on any character. Those are actually rare items that you come across in the game, but you can hash that out with who you are playing with…The gold is also pooled between the characters. CO: So none of the items, the gold or anything, would go back to the guest"s game? RT: That’s correct. When I jump in on his game as his companion, I’m playing with him on his game. The quest states, the gold, the items, and experience all stay." uh? is that both offline and online? if that proves true...way to go to shoot yourself in the foot Obsidian, I guess I will stick playing Sacred 2 or even Too Human on my 360, at least I can co-op properly there... Good luck with that XBLA Diablo-clone game you're making Obsidian, you'll need it....

Eastern European RPGs - which is the least horrible?
yoomazir replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
I previously made a post here saying how Risen kinda "sucked", well, I 'm gonna haveto retract what I 've said. I just kept playing until I discovered a good game, a falwed on e but still a good game. Let's just say that I don't understand Piranha Bytes choices in certain gameplay elements, like for example having extremely difficult fights all along the game, somewhat simulating a real life fight, yet your character is able to carry the whole island loot on him, kinda breaks the immersion... But exploring the island was the best thing. Soon gonna get Two Worlds 2, I been reading good things about that game. -

What? I thought this was going to be like a Diablo game: pick a class and go for the loot... my dreams are crushed now -
character creation/customization...
yoomazir replied to TheRallykiller's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Right, because I really want to customize my character by making him either a fat SoB or some emo Cloud/Sephiroth build... Pre-defined builds please, thank you very much. @Lord Elvewyn "JRPG - Jap syle RPG as opposed to Western, or so Google tells me. Prescripted plot with preset characters. No real player choices." I guess half of the supposed wrpg's are in fact jrpgs, thank you Google -
Eastern European RPGs - which is the least horrible?
yoomazir replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
I'm from Europe and to be honest I really, really, really tried to enjoy games like Risen & Two Worlds but I just couldn't.. It's not about the story or graphics, it was more about gameplay, especially for Risen, I think it was goddamn broken in many aspects, that stopped me getting into them. But I might give a shot to Two Worlds 2, it looks like the game is a major improvement in every aspect. -
character creation/customization...
yoomazir replied to TheRallykiller's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
JRPG? limited customization? Was that Diablo 2 was? because that's the path DS3 is taking and I don't consider D2 had "limited" customization. Now if you mean face/body shape/cosmetical stuff, well, yeah, it may lack from it but I couldn't care less about it. -

yoomazir replied to funcroc's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
I think the overall majority of active users are Euro (and surrounding nations). uh? I wouldn't worry at how well Obsidian games are doing in Europe but I would worry about how they do in North America. Like for example this upcoming game, DS3, it's a "Diablo like" game, that kind of game tend to do well in Europe (Sacred 2 anyone?) but I'm not sure how the game is going to be received somewhere else... See, the only, really successful game of that genre is the Diablo franchise, I 've never heard (as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong) of any other similar game doing just fine in N-A and it's the biggest market in the world. Anyway, I'm sure it 'll do well enough now that Obsidian got good publicity with the release of F:NV. -
The Dead Money DLC announces a level cap of 35, I guess the path for overpowered characters is open again, looks like Bethesda/Obisidan didn't learn the lessons of the previous "Broken Steel" fiasco...

I'm just saddened at how much Charisma sucks: - it gives a little boost in speech & barter? amazing... - it boosts by a small percent your companions attack & defense? they do fine without it even on hardcore... - no good perk for it... No wonder why people just leave 1 point on it and boost all other stats, not very rpg'ish mind you, but if it's useless, better put them on something better sadly ( I'm surprised that Obsidian didn't include some F2 perks like Cult of Personality, Presence or Master Trader, that would have helped to make Charisma a more viable attribute, hell maybe it could help to resolve way more quests/conflicts with no fighing at all.

So your saying the weapon might still be lying where it dropped? damn, guess I'll need to check all the areas I travelled with Veronica now...
