  1. Uh. I tried to go back and play Knights of the Old Republic. It was pretty fun, and I forget why I stopped. I'll probably turn it on in a few days. Also I reinstalled Oblivion, but forgot to reinstall the custom race fix so whoops. Ah well. When I care, I'll fix that. I did try to go back and do NWN2 without touching the OC. Got a ranger to level 8 just going through various mods. Funfun. I'll probably make a Druid/Stormlord when the expansion hits.
  2. Peach, Plum, Pear by Joanna Newsom
  3. Psuedo-Philosophical = "Why?" "42?" Quasi-Intellectual = Dan Brown. I see no connection to Planescape: Torment here.
  4. Something tells me that any attempt to play Crysis - or its demo - would result in a critical failure for my machine. Like, World of Darkness style critical failure. The kind where instead of shooting the vampire in the face, you shoot yourself in the jewels and THEN fall onto the bleeding homeless man who in-turn gives you AIDS style critical failure. But god do I want to try.
  5. Whether or not Obsidian - or any developer - gets the license for 4e, I just hope they stop churning out all of these generic-fantasy slash fests. Am I wrong for wanting something akin to the uniquity that was Planescape: Torment? Personally, I'd rather see Obsidian get the license to make World of Darkness games. Or, really, just White Wolf games in general. From what I've read of Scion, it seems to have a lot of potential... But hell, I'd take even Exalted over just another DnD game at this point. But I'm sure they'll do well with 4e, provided it isn't as abhorred as everyone is making it out to be.
  6. You know that he was, once upon a time, an innovative designer, don't you? And the Infinity Engine was, once upon a time, an innovative and top-of-the-line game engine. ;x Kaftan had a part in designing the IE or that was just a couterpoint? If the latter, what has he designed? If the former, color me impressed. Kaftan was the man responsible for quenching the developer's hunger for both hookers and blow. ;D

  8. I never said it was MS Exclusive. I was just humorously following a broken chain of thought, relating Mass Effect to Halo and noting its exclusivity. PSU and FFXI are currently available (and fully playable) on consoles. also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EverQuest_Online_Adventures I thought they closed that down? Guess not. I always wanted to try that, for some reason.

  11. You guys. Clearly he's talking about a Halo MMO. I mean, let's look at the facts. Mass Effect? Microsoft Exclusive? Bungie. Heh. My original thought was "Baldur's Gate MMO!" as well. It was then followed by "Wait! Perhaps Bioware is in league with Interplay in the developement of the Fallout MMO?" And then I cried at the thought of Bioware doing a Fallout game on any level. Oh, but yeah. Brand recognition is definitely a good thing. SWG had mega sales at first, and a decent base before it went to hell. Ultima Online is STILL alive, despite all reason. But quality is truly what defines a game. I'd still rather play Dark Age of Camelot over most of the MMOs today, even at its current state.
  12. I'm assuming it plays as well as any other Xbox game that is officially backwards compatible. That is, of course, assuming it's officially backwards compatible. I never purchased the game, so I've no reason to care if it is or isn't. :/
  13. My group tends to go with DnD 3.5e. At least, that's what we've mostly focused on. It was our introduction to "real" PnP roleplaying, so... We've also dabbled in nWoD. Werewolf: The Forsaken, in particular. From what I've read about oWoD, I think I actually prefer nWoD in everything except Werewolf. I know I definitely prefer Requiem to Masquerade, though I do miss some of the variety in kinships.
