  1. Purgatorio soundtrack - The Mortuary Twisted and kinda evil-ish.
  2. Probably the only game I'm looking forward to where the design decisions really vibe with what I want in RPGs. It'll be interesting to see if Iron Tower can deliver on it. Looks very promising to my eyes.
  3. Mark Morgan (Planescape: Torment soundtrack) - The Fortress of Regrets One of the absolute best game themes I know. Chilling, and of course, the moment where it plays in the game is immense. It just seems to tell of a long journey coming to an end.
  4. Ben Houge (Arcanum soundtracks) - Tarant This is such a great soundtrack. So unique and fitting to the game. Each time I listen to it I feel like replaying the game.
  5. The only mod that I use for the official campaigns is the TonyK AI one, no problems whatsoever with it. If files from different mods in the Override folder overwrite one another then it'll probably be a sure bet that you'll get issues.
  6. Some more screenies from playtesting Purgatorio: What does the Hive have to offer? Hiverunners Road: Going deep down into the bowels of Sigil. This is one of the newly uncovered areas, one section (there are several) of UnderSigil If the rest of Sigil doesn't give you lung problems, this slice of paradise will. The Slags is one of the most polluted areas to be found in Sigil (note that the text won't be green in the final version):
  7. Karl Sanders - Contemplate this on the Tree of Woe Awesome!
  8. Yeah, I don't get that either. Still, looks quite fun. It looks really easy here, but again... Hoping that it's due to a maxed out character/easy difficulty or whatever. EDIT: Actually, now that I look closer, in the hacking screen there is a number/code on the upper right. I assume it's just finding that code.
  9. Metallica - Turn the Page Metallica sure did some great covers. This one is quite awesome.
  10. Dun dun dun, since I'm now playtesting Purgatorio as a part of the team, here's some more screenshots with more to come (probably): Wandering through an abandoned town in the Outlands: What fate awaits us in the the Cage? Visiting the town of Hopeless:
  11. I would still play the game if there were checkpoints, but let it be known that I to *really* prefer the usual saves for PC. Really hope they'll add that.
  12. I've been testing the Alternative Soundtrack mod which can be found here: http://www.metaltracks.tk/claymore/fallout_3.html This is a mod composed by (among others) people who also did music for Storm of Zehir as well as the NWN2: Purgatorio mod. The goal was to produce a more post-apocalyptic atmosphere through the soundtrack, and I for one think this is *far* better than the original soundtrack. Some tracks are reminiscant of the Fallout 1 & 2 soundtracks, some are a bit more "tribal" and rythmic. All together it feels much more hostile (in a subtle way) than the Fallout 3 soundtrack. Highly recommended.
  13. Black Sabbath - Dirty Women Probably not politically correct, but an awesome song. Have really been re-discovering Sabbath these last few days, really awesome band.
  14. Finished Painkiller, so here is a celebratory screenshot:
  15. Watched a swedish film called "En s
  16. Huh, well I think it looks like fun. The main thing that bothers me with the animations is when they're transitioning into one another. It's appearant in this video with the stealth kill, the transition to the animation doesn't feel smooth even though the animation itself looks fine. It also still feels really easy, and we can clearly see in this video that Mike is *not* invulnerable in it. I know they're promoting a choice of playstyles, but I suppose I really want a specific *reason* to use stealth to bypass combat (aside from that some NPCs may like it and some may not). I want to be able to get into serious trouble if I'm spotted. If the enemies are mainly fodder then the stealth element loses its thrill. I think the dialogue looks fun as hell now actually. I'm not the biggest fan of the keyword thing, but it seems AP will be doing it much more right than Mass Effect for example. It's fun to watch and I'm sure it will be fun to play if the game is as reactive as they say. Think it looks good overall.
  17. Black Sabbath - Hole in the Sky Classic.
  18. This looked a lot better than the other gameplay video posted (with Matthew Rorie talking over it). Definetely feels like this is more the way the game is supposed to be played. Not flailing around like a moron. I still think some of the movement looks a bit wonky, and the camera seems to screw up every now and then, but this looked a lot more fun. I just pray, pray, pray that the game will be hard enough. The little "mini-choice" is cool, and I hope even small things like that get back to the player in a meaningful way. I also liked how the aiming works. Bad things: MINIGAMES NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
  19. That would probably explain a lot. I really wish previews would mention this though, it kinda gives a faulty view of the game. Forgot to mention before but the level looks pretty great. I really like what Matthew is saying about how endgames can be completely different depending on your choices. I really hope the choice aspect of the game comes through. It was actually a great feature of Mysteries of Westgate, where you could get completely different ending gameplay segments depending on how you choose The only thing that I would complain about is the "rawr I kill everything with no problem" (which again, might be due to invulnerability here) and the fact that turning Thorton around and stuff is really sort of "twitchy". Some animations have great weight in them, but when he's just running and turning back and forth it looks a bit to light. EDIT: Actually yeah, there doesn't appear to be any indication of him losing health or anything, so.
  20. Dun dun dun: http://e3.g4tv.com/videos/38670/Alpha-Prot...o-from-E3-2009/ The dialogue segments look good, and I think the timer is a good choice if you really have to have the keyword stuff. The action looks... I dunno. Sorta fun. But as always in these types of games, it's just hard for me to accept that this dude can run and gun everything down. It just looks strange, but whatever. I really hope that this game can provide a real challenge. Also, I think movement looks very er... "twitchy"? Doesn't feel like there is real weight behind the character and movement. It's sort of flailing around. Maybe that bit (and aiming and all that) would feel better on the PC. I always have trouble for these kinds of games (and FPS games) on consoles.
  21. Still playing Painkiller. Haven't been getting to much playtime lately so I'll just pop in and do a level here and there. The game is amazingly fun, some of the enemy rushes are just glorious. This will definetely rank high on my personal gaming list, highly recommended. Gonna do some internal playtesting on Purgatorio so that will likely take up some time.
  22. If this really represent options we will get in-game, then hell yeah. They feel creative enough as well.
  23. Tommy Emmanuel - Questions One of my absolute favourites. So beautiful, haunting and... questioning. Just listen to it:
  24. Trying out Painkiller for the first time after hearing many people recommend it. I can see why, it's a lot of fun and very hectic. Not normally a FPS fan but this game is pretty cool.
