  1. That is probably this bug: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/106114-fragments-of-the-blade-of-the-endless-paths-missing/
  2. This seems to be a recurring problem, because I had this same issue back when Deadfire first came out, and now I'm having it again. Since I don't play on Trials, I just add a mod to add the fragments directly to my inventory, but obviously that shouldn't be necessary.
  3. #2 is something I definitely noticed. For classes that aren't full-casters, there are levels where you expect to take more than half of the abilities available at that level, and if some of those don't really suit your build, or just feel like total pants? You're SOL unless you're multiclassed to something with better options (for you). Casters only get around this if most of their spells are worth taking. The solution is to make more abilities that are worth taking, for each class. This can be a combinations of: Adding new abilities Adding worthwhile upgrades to existing abilities Making some existing abilities available to more classes Buffing abilities that are weak Basically, I think every subclass should have enough different worthwhile-for-them abilities per power level that they have to make a choice at *every* level between abilities that they would really like to have. Even when retraining. e.g.: the four weapon style abilities are basically one choice: either you pick your preferred weapon style, or you don't. Something like "tumbling" (+20 defense vs disengagement) only matters if you plan to disengage and have good enough deflection that with it you can safely disengage and don't have so much deflection that you don't need it. If you aren't all those things? It's basically not there.
  4. Better penetration than equivalent 1H or light weapons, yes, more enchantment bonus to damage, no. The increased damage should be baked into their higher base damage and penetration (and maybe accuracy) so that it scales consistently with other weapon types.
  5. I made a mod file based on the discussion in this thread. Note that accuracy bonuses and the change to Wild Leech do not appear to show, same with the damage to not-the-target victims of Mind Lance. You will need to make sure the file extension is ".gamedatabundle" and not ".gamedatabundle.txt" for it to work. It goes in: PillarsOfEternityII_Data/override/Any_name_you_want/design/gamedata/ Here's what it's supposed to do: 0: Soul Annihilation: Attack Data copied from pre-1.1 datafile, should un-nerf 1: Mind Wave: Cast time reduced from 3s to 0.5s (e4c738a7-4d3f-407f-b035-cc76191fe26b) 1: Soul Shock: Cast time reduced from 3s to 0.5s (e4c738a7-4d3f-407f-b035-cc76191fe26b) 1: Antipathetic beam: Attack now affects target instead of... not 1: Tenuous Grasp: both status effect durations doubled from 15s to 30s 1: Eyestrike: Attack (eyestrike_target) cast speed changed to cast speed from recall agony (4.5s to 3s) (eacb53e3-6eb5-422a-92ca-99cc883ae4a9) 1: Valorous Echoes: inspirations upgraded to tier 2 (+2 Pen, +50% graze-to-hit) 2: Mental binding: both status effect durations doubled from 6s to 12s 2: Psychovampiric Shield: Attack accuracy increased from +0 to +10 2: Recall Agony: Status effect duration doubled from 15s to 30s 3: Secret Horrors: Both status effect durations increased from 12s to 20s 3: Pain Link: Main status effect duration increased from 12s to 30s 3: Fractured Volition: Both status effect durations doubled from 15s to 30s 3: Soul Ignition: Cast time reduced from 3s to 0.5s (e4c738a7-4d3f-407f-b035-cc76191fe26b) 3: Ectopsychic Echo: Damage doubled from 7-13 to 14-26 4: Wild Leech: All afflictions and inspirations upgraded to tier 3 from tier 1 4: Silent Scream: Primary and secondary attack damage doubled from 12-20 to 24-40 4: Mind Lance: Primary target damage from 22-27 to 44-54 6: Mind Plague: Status effect Duration increased from 12s to 30s, attack accuracy increased from 0 to +10 7: Stasis Shell: attack accuracy from +0 to +10 EDIT: It turns out I copied over the wrong thing for Soul Annihilation. I copied over the ability entry, rather than the status effect that adds raw damage. I have updated the file. My data files said it adds 10 + half focus to damage, and I don't *think* I'm on 1.1, so I left that as is. pov_cipher_buff.gamedatabundle.txt
  6. Deduction. https://www.reddit.com/r/projecteternity/comments/5qv8wz/compilation_of_question_answered_by_josh_sawyer/ Q: Congrats for a great start to the Figstarter. It's looking sweet, and yes, I backed! -- I've understood that the Deadfire archipelago is far to the south of the Eastern Reach, with Naasitaq the biggest island. Naasitaq at least clearly has a subarctic/arctic climate. So what's the deal with the steaming jungles and baking deserts? A: Deadfire Archipelago is most easily reached by traveling south along the Eastern Reach’s coast from the Vailian Republics and Naasitaq is one of the first parts of the archipelago that can be reached that way. However, Naasitaq is the southernmost end of the archipelago. Deadfire spans most of the distance between there and the equator. I don't see it. Travel south from the Vailian Republics and you'll get there, where's east here? I only gathered from this that Naasitaq is directly far south of the Republics. And that Deadfire reaches the equator. So that puts the Eastern Reach more to the north of it. The key lines are: along the Eastern Reach’s coast Naasitaq is the southernmost end of the archipelago. So you get to Sagani's home by following the coast, but that's the southern end of the Deadfire. Everything else is north.
  7. I was about to make a thread about this exact thing. In a pitched battle, it can sometimes be a second or two (or what feels like it) before the game actually responds to my pause command.
  8. Why wouldn't -75% require +300% to cancel out? That's x1/4 and x4. What's weird about the formula posted is that four +50%s and a -75% is -50% rather than +25%.
