  1. Its based on d20 System, therefore it must adhere to the d20 System. Case closed.
  2. Cut the flaming out already. Sheesh. I probably would not pre-order it but I might get it if it was put on DVD-ROM and had other extras, which I would then give my old copy to my roommate or sell it off.
  3. Nope, just poop.
  4. Like I said, the days of good CRPGs are long dead.
  5. Sorry, the changes he made were stupid. The Greedo shot, Boy-Anakin at the end of RotJ, and a few other stupid changes ruined the movies.
  6. I know. I find myself going back to the classics such as Ultima 4 and Fallout till something peaks my interest and that is getting few and far inbetween.
  7. Yep, and that is quite unfortunate. The originals were quite good. Too bad they are shat now.
  8. I don't have high standards, I just know what is fun. RUnning around in a little maze with little light shooting everything that moves sounds very boring. I have played Doom 1, Doom 2, and a host of other FPS games in the past and they all played the same. Run around and shoot things. Oh, what great fun.
  9. I don't kow, maybe artistic integrity. Yeah, I know that integrity is an mooted thing nowadays, but it seems that Georgie boy is only looking for more money and doesn't give a crap about his craft.
  10. A FPS? For godsakes all FPS games play the same. You walk or runaround in a little maze and shoot stuff. Games like that are hardly any good.
  11. Why is that? Just because I don't find the newer games impressive? That I find most of the new games boring and hardly any fun at all? Tell me, what was the last game you played that trully impressed you on all levels of design, character creation and development, rules system, and immersion?
  12. Star Wars is just stupid now. They should have stopped withthe original 3 movies.
  13. Thats true. The days of good and innovative CRPGs seem to be long dead. What was the last one? BG2 was rather impressive in parts, even though the expansion sucked major arse. I think that was the last one.
  14. After the debacle at LA I am skipping this title. I don't need to buy games from publishers that think that I am second class.
  15. I do read books. More books I care to count. I have a B.S. degree in Creative Writing and Literature. Games can have great stories if the Developers take the time to actually write them and do the proper work necessary. It can be done, but most developers are just too lazy to do the work or too cheap to hire people who can.
  16. I play CRPGs and CRPGs only. Other games just don't have the story I am looking for in a game.
  17. I hate minigames.
  18. I just like to know how Revan being Revan was such a big shocking plot twist. Bioware practicaly told you who Revan was throughout the entire game. If there is no surprise there is no plot twist.
  19. Recent times? There hasn't been one that really stands out. I mean KotOR was good, NWN was average at best, and ToEE was just atrocious. Morrowind was average, had so good points and had some bad points. The last CRPG that really impressed me was Fallout 1 and Planescape: Torment. Everything else have been average to good.
  20. I was excited but then LA choose to lie to the PC gamers and now I couldn't care less about the game. I am sure it will be a good cinematic CRPG, but nothing really impressive.
  21. Actually I am quite easy to impresed, its just lately Star Wars hasn't been able to do so.
  22. Who cares about a female sith. I saw concept drawings for a female sith for episode 1 and not impressed. Why should I be impressed here?
  23. They shouldn't have use the rules system, but Bioware was lazy and didn't come up withone of their own. Also because of this laziness they didn't make the game adhere properly to the rules system they have chosen to use. Now Obsidian is just continuing the mistakes made by Bioware and compounding them with their own.
  24. If they are going to make a game based onthe d20 SYstem then they need to use the d20 System. Plan and simple. If they want to make the game more "gun" and not adhere to the rules system then they can just not use it at all. KotOR, and by extension KotOR 2, would be better off not using the d20 SYstem of Star Wars. Sure the enjoyability is imporant, that is why developers shouldn't use PnP game systems in a computer game. Far too restricting.
