  1. What? Not a Boy George fan?

  3. Like I said before Skeeter's Junkyard is a good name but it is related to Fallout and well even though some of the people working at Obsidian have worked on Fallout games Obsidian as a company has not. This may cause some confusion and if Bethesda gets antsy may cause some problems. That being said I am voting for Skeeter's Junkyard.
  4. I tend to leave my door unlocked.
  5. Nope, but then again I live in a town that has more churches than bars and its a college town known for drunken riots and parties out of control, and the occasional murder. However in these discussions, Mothie, you have given me a lot to think about and I have decided that I like you.
  6. Too bad there aren't more CRPGs that uses the W axis. :D
  7. Well, I am squarely on the Pro-Choice side of things mainly because this is a woman's issue and it is the woman's body and not mine nor any man's. It is an issue that needs to be decided by a woman on a case by case basis based on how they, as individuals, view life. Since I, nor any other man, can get pregnant we men need to stay out of it. As for the life of a fetus I have already stated my views on what I consider a human being in another thread and til that point in a person's development he or she is just another animal, no different from any other primate. An unborn should have no rights that supercedes that of the mother.
  8. A woman's physiology allows her to have babies while a man's doesn't in case you didn't notice. That is the point. Just because a woman can get pregnant pro-lifers wish to eliminate a woman's right to control her own reproductive system. They may say its to protect the "life" of the unborn child but it is control that is the issue here. Who should be allowed to control the woman's reproductive system? Government or the individual woman.
  9. Its not creative but it is the truth.
  10. Are you saying a woman shouldn't have control over her own body while the man can just because of physiological differences?
  11. In case you didn't notice I used three criteria. 1) Those who I have met. 2) The news and current events. 3) Historical context of the religion.
  12. Your point being? I never said it was rational.
  13. Probably not, Volourn, but I have personally met enough of them and seen their actions in the news as well as read a good chunk of their history to cement my opinion.
  14. Yep, then I realized how much a mistake that was.
  15. It is still their body. End of discusion.
  16. Don't know till I try and they could always make the game *GASP* turn based.
  17. I have been wondering this for a bit. How much Forgotten Realms specific material is in NWN 2. Such as did the Kir Lannon, Regional Feats, and FR specific spells and magic items? How about the way magic works in FR with the Weave and the Shadow Weave? Was any FR specific prestige classes or templates make the cut such as Spellfire Wielder or Chosen of (insert God here). Just curious.
  18. Maybe I will some day, when I meet a Christian in the real world who isn't a jerk.
  19. Bigotry is never justified. I am just saying that if Christians leave me alone I would leave them alone. If Christians treated me with respect maybe I would treat them with respect. Maybe if they didn't condemn people based on their physiology, which they have no control over, maybe I wouldn't condemn them. Maybe if they didn't try to impose their morality and beliefs on others perhaps I wouldn't have so much disdain for them.
  20. As long as they leave me alone I leave them alone, but they don't leave me alone so I will not leave them alone. If someone constantly tells me I am going to hell and that I am a sinner I am going to get a tad agitated at them. Just last night a couple of Christian missionary types came in during my shift. They were all talking about their little get together. I told them that there was no solicitation allowed. The man persisted so much so I had to throw them out of the store. He yelled back at me as they left that I was going to hell and that a godless heathen such as I am deserves it. Maybe Christians are different where you live Dark Moth, but here in Iowa I have yet had a good experience with one.
  21. You are the one who brought republicans up again with the quoting, not I.
  22. There are many reasons to vote against Republicans. A good chunk of them use religion to dictate policy when religion should have no place in politics. Not everyone follows the same religion in this country therefore religion should have no place when the common good needs to for all citizens and not just Christians. Also a good chunk of them are bigoted and are opponents of giving homosexuals the same rights as a heterosexual. Sorry, that is something I cannot support. Just because a person is born differently than the norm is no reason to discriminate against them. Another thing why I will not vote Republican they tend to be anti-science and progress. This whole stem cell business proves that. I am sure indiviudally they are all fine folk but overall I cannot abide their decisions on policy and the direction they are setting this country.
  23. Another thing that can add to a game besides z axis is destructable terrain. Maybe its just me but when a mage casts fireball in a forest it should cause a major forest fire.
  24. I still like to know how the hell can they think they have the right to dictate and regulate a woman's reproductive system. What sort of malfunction is going on in there telling them that they should be able to tell someone what they can and cannot do with their own body.
  25. No need to get sarcastic. I was just ssaying that the "standard of teaching" isn't as low as you think. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course my state is number 3 in all the nation in ACT scores but then again the public education system in the US is so atrocious comparied to other nations.
