  1. It still plays all the top end games very well.
  2. As I said before only 3 more to go.
  3. It beats it out by balancing story, challenge, exploration, and NPCs. Fallout is a better balance in all four of these aspects than KotOR. Balance is needed for a great game.
  4. I just take games side by side. Fallout 1 versus KotOR 1. Obviously KotOR 1 would have better graphics and sound, but Fallout beats it on actual substance.
  5. Only 3 more patches to go.
  6. That is why FO 1 is better than FO 2 because FO 2 is just a rehash of the original and that makes it inferior. "
  7. Man, what is with not making full manuals in games anymore? Another reason to skip this game.
  8. The difference that the timer in FO 1 represented the amount of time before the bad guys find your home and eliminate it or take it over. bad guys shouldn't be static and waiting for the hero to show up. They have their own plans, their own goals, and their own needs and the story and setting needs to reflect that. Fallout 1 has come the closest to show that. I would like to see this sort of feature explored in other games as well.
  9. It is better because it was first. A rehash is always inferior to the original. BWAAAHAAAAHAAAAAA! What a freaking joke. Again it is beyond you so I will not explain. I have tried to explain things to you before but I have learned that is just a waste of time. Again I have to laugh at you.
  10. I liked HotU, I did not "enjoy" it. Like I said before there is a difference, but you just wouldn't understand.
  11. It was too much in such a condense place. Also it was rather silly to have so many prostitutes and drug dealers in such a small space.
  12. There are two things that stop Fallout 2 being better than Fallout 1: New Reno and Broken Hills. @Q-man: Well, name one CRPG that has a beter rules system for a computer game, more open ended yet well balanced for its story, or a better interface for its engine design? @Volourn: Whatever man, I told you how I reviewed those games and you choose to ignore it. That's your perogative but I am not going into that old argument again. Also there is a difference in liking something and enjoying something, but again that is probably lost on you as well so I am not going to bother explaining it.
  13. Thing is for a a game published back in 1997 its pretty damn sad that they have yet made a game better.
  14. Actually the only part of BG2 I didn't like was the use of the Twisted Rune. They should have played more of a part in the game if they were to be used. Of course that is just a very very very very small part of the game. Throne of Bhaal on the other hand was when things started to go down hill. That had to be the worse expansion I have ever played. Fallout 1 I have no complaints on. Best game ever made, hands down.
  15. I liked parts of KotOR, but as a whole it left me in a meh feeling. I am not talking about parts of a game, but the whole thing. I enjoyed the whole experience of BG2. I can't say the same with KotOR 1.
  16. Its never a good time. If I had the hacking knowledge I would hack into every MMORPG and erase all the characters of all the players, everywhere.
  17. Fallout series should have ended with Fallout 2. Fallout Tactics and FOPOS were both big steamy piles of dung and Bethesda has the license which will more than likely rape it again.
  18. Oh, I am quite jaded and cynical. To tell the truth I haven't really enjoyed a computer game since BG2.
  19. Why even bother? Let the series die off so something better canbe worked on.
  20. Bioware won't do it because they got their own project to work on. Bioware has grown beyond the need for lame licenses.
  21. Only for you.
  22. I only play CRPGs. I don't play online games except NWN once a week with a DMed session and that is quite fun and can be challenging. Sometimes too challenge like when the DM messed up and had my level 9 Fighter/rogue character face a level 18 drow fighter. That was insane, but I was able to survive and managed to get a few good hits in, then I ran away. @Laozi: Sorry, I like my challenges to be in my CRPGs.
  23. Mine is just the right size.
  24. I hate MMORPGs. Biggest waste of money and time on the planet. WHoever invented the first MMORPG deserves to get freaking shot multiple times.
  25. Yes, there are but I am sick of wasting $50 on games that hold absolutely no challenge to me. Games are just getting easier and easier and easier over the last 5 to 7 years and its getting freaking ridiculous. I am nowhere near being an expert gamer but NWN, KotOR, and not even ToEE (when it was working) was any sort of a challenge. Yes, I play on Hardcore and high difficulty settings. Also I don't count a game that is only 40 hours long and you can reach 25+levels (d20 System levels that is) as decent.
