Thing is Shadowpaladin, you aren't paying the same amount of money for the same media. Way back when $40 to $50 games came on chip based cartridges and 5 and a quarter inch discs. Now they come on DVD at no increase in price. Something is just wrong with that. The point of a business is to make money and with stagnation of prices only thing that is changing is the overall quality and length of the games being developed. If you haven't noticed, but overall game quality has become crappier and crappier since the late 1990's.

Actually lets leave time travel out of this. This could be a new trilogy set during the war and deals with the events that lead to the time travel in the previous movies and the consequences afterwards. If you mess with time, time messes with you.

Yes, but think on this. Back when I was a kid, in the 1980's, going to a new release major movie costed $1.50 where I lived. Now it costs $7.50. That is 5 times as much. A triple A title costs $40 back in the 1980's. Now it costs $50. That is only a 20% increase. $1 back in the 80's was actually worth something. Now, not so much.

I rather have a well developed and finished game that delivers what it promises at $70 to $80 than a game that is all hype and broken (like KotOR 2) that sells at $40 to $50.

Um, Shadowpaladin, lets stay in the realm of reality here. There is no gaurantee that a game is going to sell. None whatsoever. What is considered good to one may be trash to another and you can't base a business on such uncertainty.

Actually it does matter. If the game costs twice as much and staying the same price then that severely cuts into the profit margin. In order to save money and make the business viable that means shorter games with shorter development times.

So games should be immune to inflation. Why is that?

I liked The Core and Day After Tomorrow, though The Core was better written in my opinion.

Um, who cares. As far I am concerned Interplay is dead.

I would gladly spend $100 on a well developed long game, you know something of BG 2 length with NWN 2's or KotOR's graphics. And why is that, Surreptishus? Are you too cheap to actually pay what a product is worth?

I will say this about games and prices. Back in the days of the Commodore 64 games were $30 to $50. Inthe days of the 486 games were $30 to $50. Now, games are $30 to $50. As inflation has increased the prices of many products, games have pretty much stayed the same. Its time that inflation catches up with games.

I do not worship god or science. If I can experience it with 3 out of my 5 senses then it is real. No more and no less.

Actually no. The focus of star wars is the force and the force is that settings version of magic. Since magic is the focus of star wars and magic is the keystone elements of fantasy, Star Wars is fantasy. take away the starships you have the same basic story of the Star Wars but take away the Froce and the story crumbles to dust.

So you are saying that Bush was incompetent then. You just don't make decisions to invade a country unless that country is a clear and present danger of harming US citizens on US soil by some sort of assault that would put thousands if not tens of thousands of lives at risk. There was no way Saddam Hussein could launch such attack on the US.
