Its an artificial sun. When it cycles to night the solar output and luminousity lowers till it gets to a certain point, after that point it increases solar output and luminousity til it reaches its the assigned maximum for day time. Its on a very strict 24 hour timer.

There is no underdark if that is what you mean but there is a night and dark cycle in the Sphere. The star in the middle is an artificial sun which dims in intensity to that of dusk/dawn then grows bright as a noon day sun in a 24 hour period. So, technically there is a night and day even though the sun itself never sets. Also undead are quite different in AE, especially vampires. Vampires in this setting are more like the vampires in Blade but without the sunlight weakness. They can go out during the day, but unless they have the Daylight Adaptation feat they have a -2 penalty on all rolls.

Yes they can. Tippi, a halfling turned ghoul, was a ranger rogue that hounded my PCs for a time. She was very good at killing and hunting her prey. She never killed the PCs for she likes to play. She would simply kill those associated with them for no more the reason to hurt and be viscious. When they finally killed her a lot of my players gave a hoot of joy.

Well, we didn't get any Prestige classes in NWN 1 til the first expansion so it doesn't bother me. As long as all the baseline core classes are in the game and they are true presentatives from the PnP I will not have a problem with the classes in NWN 2. I do wish Ghostwise was in though. Halfling barbarians rule! As much goodness this game sounds like it has I am not going to get drawn into the hype. We need to dscern what is actually good about this game and what is actually marketing hype done by the developers. I got caught up in the hype of the original NWN and the OC was substandard.
