Every single time I played the NWN OC it always ended the same. Aribeth ends up dead, Klauth ends up dead, Morag ends up dead. Dead. Dead. Dead.

Blind as ever. Taking gold for doing a quest is not evil. Evil is capturing someone and tearing one layer of flesh at a time from their bodies. Evil is not doing a dangerous quest and expect getting paid for it. Evil is creeping in someone's home, then putting a dagger in their chest while they sleep. Being evil is not fighting a stronger force because they threaten you. Evil is joining said force then from behind kill its leader then taking over.

Not for them. What people do behind their doors is their own damn business. What is it with the majority of Americans thinking it is their business to interfere and judge what other people do in their private lives?

There was very few instances where you can solve quests in different ways and in the main quest there was only one way to solve it. Also there is no real way playing evil in NWN. No matter what, you end up saving Neverwinter.

Actually I though the combat and role playing were quite worse in the NWN OC than BG 1 and BG2. he writing was definitely worse. It did give you more options and better longivity due to the toolset and the 3e rules, I will give you that. Also the dragons in BG 2 were a B**CH to do solo, hell even with a party. In NWN 1 they were quite simple to kill.

The way I see it then if you have a goal then you need to do what is necessary to achieve that goal. If you want a career that has certain expectations on behavior and dress then you need to adhere to that behavior and dress accordingly. That is just how society works. NWN 1 was a step backwards compared to the Infinity Engine games. It looks like NWN 2 is something NWN 1 should have been on release.

The thing is in NWN 1 the game lacked tactics and was not balanced. I mean, a great wyrmdragon being soloed by a 16h level character is simply outo f the question. You need a proper party of at least 4 to take one of those down. I prefer the BG style of controlling NPCs and it looks like that is coming back in NWN 2 which is a good thing. Also the NWN 1 AI was lacking. Bioware did make some improvements with the patches but still, it was lacking. The best AI in a CRPG so far is the Radiant AI in Oblivion and even that is... well.. weird.

I install the game then put the disc back in its packaging. Get a No CD patch and plug it in. No need to have the disc in the machine and its nice and safe in a secure location in case I need to do a reinstall.
