  1. Am I the only one excited over The Wolf Among Us 2 news?
  2. I'm getting used to Halo: Reach's MP. I'm still not thrilled with it. It's just the whole style of game I don't care for. Maybe I'll try Grifball for a while. Only reason I'm playing it is because my character feels naked without any shoulder armor.
  3. I lost about 2 hours of Outer Wilds due to save corruption. Thankfully the game is pretty nonlinear, so I can pick up where I left off. I just won't have the lost stuff on the computer. I also checked out Halo: Reach. It runs only slightly worse than I'd expect an Xbox 360 game to. And I'm annoyed again how all the armor unlocks require multiplayer. Getting to customize your character is a big part of why it's my favorite Halo. But I guess that was always true. I just hate Halo's MP. Assault rifles are useless.
  4. Called an alien ship onto an occupied pad Played with controls you don't understand Autopiloted through a tiny moon Used your oxygen supply as propellant Eaten by a giant fish So many dumb ways to diiiiiie The Outer Wilds is fun. I really wish I was playing it instead of at work.
  5. I remembered that the other The Outer W___ came out on PS4 last month and had to buy it. I've been looking forward to it so long. And it's pretty great. It's all the parts I loved most about Subnautica without the parts I loved a little bit less.
  6. There's a few topics in this forum: https://forums.obsidian.net/forum/43-pen-and-paper-gaming/ It's not super active, though. Edit: I see you're already over there.
  7. Disco Elysium, Master Chief Collection, Choice of the Deathless (found out it was written by Max Gladstone, author of Empress of Forever), and Heaven Will Be Mine. HWBM is an english language visual novel that's apparently about giant robots, the future of humanity, and... queer romance? Sounds quirky and fun enough I've been eyeing it.
  8. I'm supposed to be playing The Outer Worlds and Still There, but Death Stranding has kinda hooked me. The strength there is a pretty quick gameplay loop that allows you to get into that whole "it'll only take me 15 minutes to do blank, one more round" that keeps you going. And the setting of it is just so interesting you want to push on to learn more. Which is to say that I'm not betraying The Outer Worlds, I'm addicted. It's an illness. I need help not judgement.
  9. A bit of Destiny 2, just enough to get the season title. Looks like this season was kind of meh and now it's essentially over. I might log back in to do dailies and weeklies so I can get the rest of the Empyrean Cartographer set, but don't expect to really play more of it. Dawn better sound incredible or I won't even come back for that. A bit of Destiny 1, still struggling to do the 220-280 grind. My lowest level item is still gloves and I'm holding on upgrading anything until I get that. Can't do strikes since nobody is playing the level 36 versions. Just have to grind Court of Oryx solo, I guess. I did get Husk of the Pit. That's the good news. And I just started The Outer Worlds. My god the environments are gorgeous. Who is responsible for this?
  10. I started up Destiny 1. I see kind of why it was trashed when it launched. Stuff just happens and not much time is spent acknowledging why you're doing any of it. You just get a new mission and you go shoot stuff, with the Ghost talking abit about things you didn't know you were there for. But the maps are interesting. They feel bigger than Destiny 2's. Since I visited 1's moon and saw it was the same map, I've had to conclude this is an illusion. The lower camera angle and slower movement must make it look bigger. Illusion or not, I like it. The world feels more detailed too. Though it seems like it lacks for the lost sectors that 2 has. And the lack of a map helps sell that the world is bigger.
  11. Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2 Having quite a bit of fun with it. The haunted forest is fun. Got a randomly dropped exotic, the solar hand cannon. It's similar to the void pulse rifle, makes the target explode and anyone who dies from the explosion also explodes. Great for clearing weak enemies with a chain reaction.
  12. The thread you posted in Technical Support has more information and seems a better fit. So I'll close this one. There also seems to be some ongoing discussion here you can join in.
  13. I may or may not have accidentally done this at some point in Fallout New Vegas.
  14. What store did you purchase from? If it's not from one of the launcher platforms, you would have to contact them.
  15. I'm really sticking with Destiny 2 this time. And I'm really getting into the lore and story of it. Lots of neat stuff in there, particularly where time travel or things from other dimensions pop up.
  16. I made it into Destiny 2 last night. I was stuck at 1739 for like an hour and it just let me in all of a sudden. Melee finishers are mostly pointless. Occasionally it's faster to use it against a tougher enemy than shooting them. And the quests are interesting. But it's kind of tired seeing some of the same public quests from the EDZ.
  17. I'm playing the "waiting in queue on Destiny 2" game. Apparently there's lots of free players who are only slightly less new than me. And also the moon is haunted.
  18. I beat Crying Suns. It was a lot of fun and I maybe played it on easy just to avoid the frustration FTL gave me. Nothing worse than constantly failing to see any progress whatsoever and not having any hints as to why without needing to read a guide. But it was too easy. I beat the whole game without dying at all. So maybe I'll go back and do some medium runs after they update it to let you replay old chapters. I also played the latest Star Control: Origins DLC. Pretty decent, but I feel like the magical feeling I had when I first played the game has worn off.
  19. I told myself I wouldn't indulge in Crying Suns until I finished some other stuff. And I'm a complete liar. It's lots of fun. Anyone who compares it to FTL is encouraged to see me and my hands after class on the playground. Because this one's actually fun.
  20. Trying out some stuff, I've recently started Lorleia, Angels of Death, Max Payne, Mothergunship, and Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy. Mostly I'm just spinning my wheels until AI: The Somnium Files releases tomorrow. Lorelai's decent, but not as well reviewed as the previous two parts. Angels of Death is just okay, but that might be expected for an RPG Maker horror/death game title. Mothergunship might be getting too hard for me, having died a bunch of times on a single mission.
  21. Over the weekend I finished Children of Morta. A fun little action RPG about a family fighting a corruption that's ravaging the land. I ended up beating it without even getting the final tier of skills for any family member. It's pretty easy, but charming with great narration. I also finished Little Nightmares. Great atmosphere on it, way too many chase sequences.
  22. I guess I'm done with Control. I've got one optional boss fight left and a couple of little other things. But it crashed while solving the luck puzzle and I decided it's not worth starting back up just for that. It's a good game, I'm just tired of running around.
  23. I like to abuse the phrase "I low key love/hate _____." There's nothing low key about this, I love Control. The loot system is a tedious addition, the dialogues are longer than they need to be with time wasted on internal dialogue. But the gunplay is simply fantastic. And I appreciate the hell out of what they're trying to do with the setting and story.
  24. I'm telling you the truth or my name isn't Brad Pitt.
  25. I got Planetary Annihilation: Titans in the Humble sale. And it's fun. I've only played a little of it including the tutorial. Maybe I'll talk about that more later. The Beginner's Guide is another game I got. I ran through it in an hour and a half. If you're at all interested in narrative games and have no objections to "walking simulators" this is a must buy. It's basically a great short story in game form, focusing on a guy whose friend used to make games that were never meant to be played. A little bit more of Cat Lady. For a no-risk Horror Adventure game, I still have trouble playing it for long stretches. It still manages to be tense. And, lastly, ESO is having a free weekend. I played it a bit and I have to say I don't care for it at all. The typical MMO nonsense of way too many enemies to wade through and constantly respawning while you spam the same single slow attack has me put off on this after only a single quest post-tutorial.
