I ask this because I was wondering if the game would exspand on this further. The Mandalorians fate always lies with the Sith one way or another. I was thinking that perhaps the Mandalorians would rise up against the Sith.
-
All in all Revans Mask isn't Mandalore, read the SW comics for confirmation. The Datapad is found on Kashyyk. Canderous says that Mandalore was killed at the end of the Mandalorian Wars, by Revan. Probably the last battle. When Revan had HK he was already a Sith Lord, and he Sent HK to Mandalore space to to something. What we don't know, but another Mandalore captured HK and reprogrammed him to kill MANDALORE leader of the Mandalorians. Mandalore defeated HK and reprogrammed him to kill the traitor Mandalorian. In the Kashyyk Datapad, a Mandalorian has misgivings about attacking the Wookies. He says he obeys MANDALORE,but feels the act is dishonorable. Not to mention that history says that if one Mandalore dies, another shall rise. So another Mandalore is clearly around even during KOTOR.
-
Did Revan see Mandalore as a threat, the sith lord Revan that is? As in the Kashyyk Datapad and HK's mission to Mandalorian space, we know another took the mask and became Lord of Mandalore. But why would Revan want to waste time worring about a race trying to rebuild itself?
-
Well for one, Canderous isn't speaking of the Exar Kun war. He's talking about after the war the Sith came to them. He says something like,"The Sith Came to us with an offer, to fight a worthy enemy. Afterwards the Sith locked themselves in their Sector cutting themselves off from the rest of the Galaxy." It's something like that or close to it. Canderous coudn't have been talking about the sith War because Ulic didn't offer Mandalore anything. If it was the EK war Canderous would ahve said so, not go into a whole new story about how, after the whole offer thing, they conquered the outer rim worlds to prepare for the Mandalorian Wars.

Has better care been taken with continuity in KOTOR 2? KOTOR didn't do anything that couldn't be looked over, but it kinda fumbled on the bits and pieces. Like the Valley of the Dark Lords, which was completely wrong. I did what I could for the it, and the tombs were seperated for the PC version, but it could have never been right. Also Naga Sadows tomb, which like I said can be looked over as a Memorial for Naga and not his actual tomb. Yet the lack of research shows again either way, Naga Sadow was on Yavin. The Darth reference was given by LFL so that isn't a problem. So seeing as lack of research kinda messed up some bits of the game for continuity, the biggest being the Valley, has better care been taken this time? Meaning yall don't put something in without doing the research first?

If they are smart with it it shouldn't be a problem. Like I stated above you can't just go anywhere around Corusant by walking, you have to fly. Well flying everywhere is out. But if you think about it, what do we need to go to Corusant for? The Jedi Temple. If the Devs can make an entire level out of the Jedi temple or the Senate then nothing else needs to be shown, for in both areas we would be inside. Therefore if you lookout a Jedi temple window you see the speeders and skyscrapers, but that's it. Just an illusion so to speak.
-
Corusant is where the Senate is. If that's what your talking about. I would like to go there KOTOR2. Though the Senate in KOTOR2 would still be like the one in the sith war comics.
-
IT could be that Corusant plays like a Leviathan level or Star Forge level. I mean you can't just walk around Corusant, you have to fly to the most places you need to go. And the only place the PC really needs to go on Corusant is the Jedi Temple. So we'll might see movie where we land on the planet, and we might see ships flying around and skyscrapers out of the JT window's but that's it. Clearly a smart and easy way to add Corusant without using a whole lot of space.

In any account I believe one of the only reasons to go to Haruun Kal is to find Jolee, whether he's with a pretty lady or a few other Jedi doesn't matter. What does matter is that Jolee is one of the Jedi that landed on this planet. It seems to me that he would be in charge as well, or the leadership figure. I don't know.. what I do know is that Bindu and Windu are only different from one letter. I believe it's very possible that Windu's ancestor was Jolee Bindu.
-
Telos Nar Shadda Haruun Kal Dantooine Onderon/Duex 2 more planets, and probably 3 none planets like the opening Station. My guess, Corusant is the next one.
-
I can't be sure, but I believe I understand why Haruun Kal has been put into this game. I have the novel Shatterpoint which takes place on HK, and the story is that a Jedi from the Sith War crashed landed on the planet. Now the reason is quite simple, from what I understand most of the natives are Black. This might be a HUGE Spoiler I believe it is Jolee who has crashed landed on this planet. He is the ancestor of the Natives of Haruun Kal. This is basically the only reason I can see why the planet is being included. I really think it's Jolee. Which means, if it comes to pass, Mace Windu will share some Jolee bindu blood. Makes to much since to me, to where I can only say I'm right(Though my luck sucks). The Developers would love to have a tie in, and to tie Jolee to Windu is a big one. Not only that, but the Jedi who landed on Haruun Kal now has a face. End Spoiler Makes great Sence.

I don't believe the Sith'ari was Revan, and I don't think people should base it off the DS part of the Game. For the DS part of the Game isn't continuity, LFL always goes with the LS. They'll go with the lightside in KOTOR2 3 4 and whenever the games end. IF it's lightside the Prophecy doesn't come true. I also believe it was the developers intention for the Sith'ari to be Anakin. For he destroyed all the Jedi, the sith, and brought Balance to the Force. He just didn't come back to lead them, yet.
-
Well the Sith-Ari is Anakin or Sidious. The Jedi have their version of the prophecy, the Sith have there's. That is why they are different. Oh,and a remember the last remaining Sith Lord was Dark Lady Lumiya. Who is comfirmed as a sith lord by Leland Chee, keeper of the holocron. Oh,and Lumiya still lives. Of course Naga Sadow still hasn't been found, and Marka Ragnos is running around trying to find a body.

Will the game have any EU goodies for the Star Wars fans?

Canderous' Alien Encounter?
Darth Nuke replied to SmkJaguar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Actually the Vong War ended about a year ago when the last book came out, The Unifying Force. The Vong lost Corusant, and are now living on Zenoma Sekot and other planets in it's system. Don't even ask me what Zenoma Sekot is? -
If Onderon wasn't part of the Empress Teta system then how did Freedon Nadd influence the Ketos? Well, lots of ancient kings built their tomb while they're still alive....... KOTOR is 40 years later; maybe they did some restructuring? (especially with their facility on Ossus DESTROYED along with the entire planet) I heard that after the Exar Kun war the Jedi began to restrict romantic entanglements of Jedi, hence Bastila's reluctance.......... Bioweenies? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To your first two. Freedon Nadd was Dead when he came to the Keto's. He was a Sith Lord, and could do such things. And Sadow tomb in KOTOR would even be his tomb in continuity. It's more or less just a Memorial, that's all.
-
The Bane was never said to be the first to use it, people just say he did becasue no one else used teh term before him. And it was LFL that said Bioware could use the term, and that it was around during this time. Also before Bane there was a Darth Riven, who was created before KOTOR. Most of the Devs agree,by my influence again that Sadow's tomb is just a memorial. I don't even think he has a sarcophagus in his tomb.
-
The Comics never say what happened to the Krath/Tetan Army in the Sith WAr comics. We know the Mandalorians got a new Mandalore, and what happened to them afterwards, but nothing on the Tetan army.
-
I heard Dxun was a moon of Onderon! And I also heard they where both in the empress Teta system, but I'm quite new to this EU stuff so maybe I heard wrong. Its where the Krath originated right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Onderon is nowhere near the Empress Teta System

Dark Reaper? sounds cool was he/she powerful <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Dark Reaper was a Sith weapons built by Ulic Quel-Droma. He was also the one who helped the Jedi defeat it. The Weapons could harvest the force and use it to suck the life out of Jedi. After it was defeated, Ulic made sure that the remains of the weapno were sent to different parts of the Galaxy. 4000 years later Dooku would find all the pieces and use it for the clone War, though it was destroyed by Anakin Skywalker.

The Valley I believe was KOTOR's truely only and Biggest continuity mistake. Though something tha will be looked over if KOTOR gets a comic or book.
-
I will say one thing though, on a completely different subject. The guy who made the Valley of the Dark Lords in KOTOR didn't look to TOTJ for it's source. I mean even Jedi Academy got the Valley remotely right. Though I hear they were able to do one thing fro the Valley in the PC version, which was seperate the tombs. My doing, but I told them either way they would never ever be able to make it right. They would have had go back and change the entire part of the game.
-
Well I'm sure your right concidering the replys so far to this thread, has hardly anyone knowing what the TOTJ was. The Game's themselves will work on their own thing, but make sure that anything that came before it is mentioned, if need be. Though it was said once that Vima Sunrider was to be Bastila Shans character, before she was changed to Bastila. So if that was to happen then KOTOR would have dived deep into TOTJ. Of course there's still rumors going around that the Vima idea was brought to this game.
-
Don't know what to discuss about TOTJ. It was a great series, and made the Mandalorians something Greater than any Fett could ever be. I've always wanted to know how long the Sith war was though? I hear from a matter of weeks to years. Many sources say taht many battles were faught, not to mention where this Dark Reaper fits in.
-
And the Freedon Nadd uprising in between...now thats freaky, but I'm sure that somewhere on here it is said a million times that the Freedon Nadd episode is before KotOR! I maybe wrong though, can anyone clarify? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Freedon Nadd affair was before KOTOR, way before KOTOR. <_<
