True, but I thought it interesting that such a thing was restored. makes you wonder why troika took them out to being with... Merits and Flaws was always a fun part of WW Character Creation.

Need's more Cappadocians. " I was so disappointed with Redemption when the Cappadocian was taken away... I know they all get eaten by Augustus... except for the scant few that make it as HoS but they could have easily had her come back as a HoS, ah well that's another VTM game entirely. Bloodlines is one of my favorite RPG's of all time, first time I went through as a Tremere, then a Toreador, then Brujah and finally a Malkov. Love the "Snuff Movie" set and the Tzmisce house... that almost made me physically ill, and the Malkov Asylum was fun also, such excellent level design and game space environments. Anyone else use the Unofficial Patch that adds in the Background traits they took out?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I did, just not monosyllabically with a binary "Yes" or "No" answer.

Affecting the Environment can be seen in many many games, one of the first being Street Fighter, and you could even shoot barrels in the original Doom. Physics and the ability to affect the Enviroment is not a "New" Concept, it has just been improved and advanced slowely overtime. I am not attempting to understate the FPS Genera's contribution to Games, FPS Games have always led the way in terms of "realistic Gameplay" but once again, all of that can be attributed to the Core Gameplay and appeal of the FPS Genera to begin with, which has remained the general game play same for 32 years. Doom is pretty similar to Half-Life 2. Mario Bros. is Vastly Different to Super Mario Galaxy. Point being, most FPS Games have managed to evolve while maintaining there "Soul" if you will, mainly because flashy graphics and big booms was and is a huge part of what makes FPS Games popular. Many Genera's have lost that spark that made the special in the race to keep up with peoples expectations from FPS Games and the fun seems to be diminished because of that. Just look at the Final Fantasy Series, in order to look as stunning as possible the games now play themselves... human input is kept to a minimum, I just don't see that as fun, your supposed to "Play a Video Game" not "Watch a Video game." Nothing was worse than going over to a "friends" house and they would be in the middle of playing a video game and not allow you to play it, they would make you sit there and watch. I'm sure most kids knew ones like that growing up... there is one at every school, point being, its not as much fun to watch as it is to play.

So Doom is better FPS than HL2? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If we are talking about gameplay, then nothing about the FPS genera has really changed all that much since Spasim released in 1974. 32 Years and all we really have to show for it in that genera is more shineys, which were always a huge part of the appeal of the FPS game to begin with, so using the FPS genera as a counter point is flawed to begin with.

So why do you have a drawn portrait as your forum avatar and not a photo of yourself? And I did not mean to turn this into a debate, sorry. It's just an interesting comparison.

Sorry, Its not my pic of Games, but I saw it and it literaly make me weep.

A Screenshot I found kicking around on my HD of City of Heroes.

The Only picture of my Games that truly matters... Gametap would kill to have my Collection, I have been "Collecting" for the past 7 Years. If it is Pre 1996 and I do not have it... it simply does not exist and once my wife was safe, my Abandonware External HD is the only thing I would run into a burning building for. Something changed after 96 and Games were just never the same, I think that was the year that Graphics became significantly more important than Gameplay.

Cryptic Studio's (CoH/CoV) defers to NCSoft for Customer Support, and ArenaNet (Guild Wars) is a direct subsidiary of NCSoft.

But I don't like Mustard on my Microwaved Babies...

Even Vice President would do... you can be damn sure that if it was Sid in Office, that he would not have just shot Whittington... he would have sank his ships, bought out his armies, built a palace and settled negotiations with Babylon, all the while developing the economy and promoting trade relations with China.

Because of Moral reasons I boycott NCSoft Games. NCSoft is a Korean company, as such there concept of whats acceptable behavior on their servers is very much out of line with most western thinking. Mainly when it comes to sexual harassment and impropriety. I play MMOG's with my wife, the last thing I want to do is load up a game, make a toon and enter only to have some jackhole 14 year old use "Jerks off into your face" as his greeting to Noobie characters. That's just the childish stuff, on the Virtue Server for City of Heroes there is actually a guy there who is a known stalker, has harassed countless female players to the point of getting ahold of there e-mail or even phone numbers and going all out psycho on them... when people tried to do something about it and brought it up to the proper channels, including in game Logs of harassment, threatening out of game e-mails and even a recorded phone conversation where he threatened to break up one girls relationship with her boyfriend (Via means of bogus accusations of infidelity) if she did not cyber with him... NCSoft actually went out of there way to defend this guy and it was all brushed it allunder the carpet because in Korea I guess this is seen as perfectly acceptable behavior. So no... Until Guild Wars is Bought out by someone else, or Korea goes through a major social reform... I have not and will not play Guild Wars.

I own way too many games that I still need to play... At last Count it would take me 3 Years to play them all... for an hour each, without sleep inbetween. Im not quite sure Im willing to put that much time and Focus into my gaming, not to mention I cant play a game for only an hour. I would have to "beat" each of them and that would be my life gone. Anywho... right now my latest Obsessions have been Medieval 2: Total War & Guitar Hero 2, Mortal Kombat: Unchained, Marvel Nemesis & Trapt (For "New" Titles). And for Classics: Road Rash 3, Jedi Knight Academy & Silent Hill 3. Yeah... I play A lot of Games.

There should be two override directories. 1 located in your default install directory IE: program Files/Atari/Neverwinter Nights 2/Override The other in your My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/Override Any Changes to your .2da's should appear in the My Documents override Dir. Hope that helps.

Also made a texture pack with 136 additional textures. Some Snow shots seeing as how that seems to be populer.

M2 is the same as all the other Total War Games, From Shogun on there all the same basic concept with improvements. M2 takes everything that was great about Rome: Total War (And Expansions) and puts it into the former Medieval setting. Religion now plays much more of a role than it did in the original medieval and they have made some serious adjustments to politics and diplomatic negotiations that in all honesty has this self admitted Sid Meiers Fan Boy bowing his head and admitting that Total War has finally surpassed the Civilization series. The Game has a few bugs which will be sorted out in a patch or two, but that being said it is probably one of the least buggy Total War games I have played from launch. It is a very excellent game if you like Total War, if you did not like the previous Total War games then chances are you will not like this one. But if you enjoyed the original Medieval, then chances are you will love the sequel. DoW: Dark Crusade, is also an excellent title. They have gotten rid of the old Campaign Mode where it was a very liner story and series of maps in favor for a world map where you can choose which terratorys to enter, where to fight and who to fight. The Necrons are a great deal of fun, probably a little over powered but still massive amounts of fun. The DoW Series was always best for its multiplayer aspects and that seems to be what Dark Crusade Focused on, which I cannot stress enough, is so much fun your eyes will bleed. Neither of them are really "Must have now or else!" Games however, Dark Crusade is now $29.99 which is well worth the price. Medieval 2 is $49.99 Which depending on how much you love the Total War series, may or may not be worth the price and you may be better off waiting until that comes down to $29.99 / $19.99. If you are unsure, There is a Demo of Medieval 2 available to download, but It is a Gig and a Half Demo (Which is probably about right now days, but the last Demo i played Came on a floppy disk.)

No sh*t... Someone else who actually likes the Pixies? I just managed to get a hold of The Purple Tape myself. I was going to name the main contenant of my PW "Velouria" because I didn't think enough people would get the Pixies reference, but decided to opt for being a little more creative.

Because picking apart someones work and creativity is far more interesting right now than the commercial break, or the discussion about underwear?

It's not really mine to take pride or shame in. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A Developer working on a game is much like an Artist working on a painting. It's never perfect, there is always ways it could have been improved, its never exactly what you pictured in your minds eye but eventually you have to know when to leave the hell enough alone and take what lessons you can from the experience. An artist is always there worst and most brutal critic. I think it is refreshing to see someone being so brutally honest about something there poured so much of there life into. or so I would like to romanticise

I don't think cult is always 100% definied solely by success at the box office...but I still must agree that neither of those is 'cult" in terms of the film itself. A cult group of fans dedicated to some particular thing within/of those film worlds, perhaps. But not the films. And the only movies I've seen recently are very bad ones on Sci-Fi's weekend movie marathon run. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Downtown Chicago, if you are unlucky enough... you may just come across the Church of "The One." A group of people you could swear are homeless preaching the teachings of the Matrix. I would say that's kinda of "Cult" like. But I agree, Starwars and The Marix are far from true Cult Films in terms of the movies themselves. Plan 9 from Outer Space Eraserhead Rockyhorror (Before the 80's & 90's Boom) In my personal opinion, to truly be "Cult" very few people must know of it, or many people know of it but dislike it.
