  1. It's an alt-code. Go to your text box, hold down left-alt and on the number pad side of your keyboard (the numerals along the top of the keyboard won't work) type 130 and let go of alt. Here are some more codes http://www.alt-codes.net/
  2. I must break you....down to your base elements. Thank you, that made me laugh pretty hard.
  3. Do tell Football in the groin?
  4. If my copy doesn't come with real gold I'll be outraged.
  5. Spent some time mastering the Imperial Guard faction in DoW2 Retribution. I really like them, they basically revolve around defensive structures and artillery strikes or masses of squishy infantry backed up by a giant tank. I didn't think it was possible to make an army that felt totally different from the other 5 but Relic have succeeded spectacularly. I'd have to recommend this to anyone who liked DoW2 and Chaos Rising.
  6. Edit: Way too late posting this. I blame the television for distracting me.
  7. DoW2's vanilla campaign sucks. There are some great levels but the majority is the same kind of defend/recapture territory grind we saw in Dark Crusade. Chaos Rising has a much better campaign without the grind missions but again no base building or resource managment. There is some resource managment in the skirmish/multiplayer mode but no base building. Retribution's Imperial Guard can create a number of structures like bunkers, walls and turrets though so you should perhaps get in on the beta next week and see if they offer an experience more to your liking.
  8. I like the reskins but as usual they're absolutely ruined by the head gear.
  9. I can conceive of a number of ways Icewind Dale is better. For one thing if you're playing an extreamly religious but lazy priest who doesn't want to spend half the day digging graves for the enemies he's slain. Just lay them in a decent position, flick a few times with your foot, oh look it's snowing god's going to sort it out. 'Our thanks mighty [insert diety here], may we never have to use a shovel ever again'. Or if you're playing a rogue with hay fever, not much of a pollen count in the dale lands so there's much less risk of being discovered by an embarrasing medical condition. Also if you don't like lots of conversation or story Icewind Dale lets you jump from dungeon to dungeon fairly easily. And finally being able to create all six party members was a nice touch, especially for someone like me who wants to be able to do absolutely everything but can't with a single character (the multiplayer option in BG wasn't really intended to be used as such).
  10. Sorry you're having so many problems with it Tale. Is the multiplayer working okay at least, I've only given it a quick go so far but it looks as atmospheric as the single player game but in a very different way.
  11. It's not strictly relevant but this made me chuckle
  12. You shouldn't be having sex while driving a car anyway, it's distracting and dangerous.
  13. That's just wrong,. So very, very wrong.
  14. I was given the day off because the college overbooked the kitchen my class were going be using today. So I had a lay in, caught Salt on pay-per-view and am thinking about catching up on some novels I bought last year but haven't gotten around to reading yet.
  15. Hadn't actually intended the picture to be so big, but what the hell, it's a good one.
  16. Anne Hathaway in a skin-tight outfit and purring like a kitten, this might be the best movie ever!
  17. In Dead Space that pannel at the front was a display Isaac could look down at. In Dragon Age it's there to resemble the Dead Space armour, so yes, pretty usless. I think it would have looked better if they just copied the Dead Space 2 armour completely perhaps minus the health and stasis bars on the back.
  18. If GW decide to make another movie I hope for the next one they go with Gotrek & Felix, I really liked the novels.
  19. NWN wasn't the best story drvien D&D game but it did well at creating a Diablo/D&D Hybrid and a multiplayer campaign where all the players could participate in the story. I loved how the party could split up and tackle seperate parts of the quest simultaniously and Aribeth would actually recognize that different people had brought her different ingredients for example. At high res and full settings the game doesn't actually look as bad as I remembered it, I do think that the beautiful hand drawn locals and character figures from Infinity Engine did look superior to NWN, but again beauty is in the eye of the beholder (the expression, not the game). Having the light reflect and flicker off surfaces and armour and seeing the nice spell effects fly around the battlefield did make NWN quite pretty at times.
  20. Eye of the beholder and all that. The expression I mean, not the game.
  21. Resident Evil 5 is at it's best as a co-op with a friend, it's still a fun time playing with bots and random people but it sullies the experience a bit.
  22. That's a fair comparison, is there supposed to be something wrong with it being like Resident Evil?
  23. Then wouldn't the academy use a counter spell to counter the counter spell used to counter the detect alignment/illusion spell? But then the spies/zents or other evil faction would obiously anticipate this and use a counter spell to counter the counter spell that was used to counter the counter spell that was used to counter the first spell. And so a viscious pattern would ensue. I suppose that's why they needed to train new heroes in the first place, because the academy members were busy countering the counters that would counter their counters to the counters that would stop their detect alignment/illusion spell from working. Except they wouldn't be able to train anyone because their detect alignment/illusion spells would never work and they wouldn't know if the heroes were actually spies/zents or another evil faction. What a plothole that was!
  24. Dead Space 2 Launch Trailer It's almost here
