  1. I love this community! As minor as it may seem, you literally just made this game perfect for me. Between the Enhanced UI mod, the Community MOD, and now this, the game is absolutely complete for me and now likely my favorite of all CPRGs at least from a mechanics, gameplay, multiclass way. Super awesome man! Thank you again so much, completely unreal. Such a great community here on the forums.
  2. Triple “Ugh” lol Well it looks like I got myself an assignment, find that post. When I get a chance I’ll comb through his post records to see if I can find that specific one. Give me a couple days, but I should hopefully find it. Like I mentioned earlier I’m not a modder. I have no experience in it. But if I were to find his post, would you know any modder(s) who might be willing to implement this? When I do find it I’ll give you an “@“. Also once again thank you for replying, it’s nice to see such a friendly & helpful community here. *Side note* apologies if this ends up being a double post.
  3. That's awesome that he did...and then you broke my heart with this news lol. Double "ugh" that both guys that worked on that mod are MIA. Really appreciate you replying brother. By any chance do you think it possible that a DEV could be persuaded to implement this small feature? Or I take that this game is now a back burner thing never to be touched again? Small-Vent-Side-Note; I get that they nerfed carnage compared to POE1 and also lowered the actual effective radius of it as well, I just wish they would of left the visual radius in regardless. Feels like they were trying to hide the fact that it was smaller and just didn't want to deal with flak from players because of it? Just kinda of blows because with couple of my barbarian builds I can *kinda* guess my radius based on intelligence, but ultimately would love to have that visual tool tip to know for certain.
  4. I was afraid you were going to say that lol. I don’t think he’s been on the forums since April =/ I know your a mod-er yourself and have put a quality mod in the balance mod. Out of curiosity would know how to do this? (Carnage) visual range? I would myself, if I knew how to, but I’ve never been a mod maker or computer savvy enough to figure stuff out like that. (Hence why I’m always grateful for peeps who mod) I take it might mean opening up files in POE1 and looking at the code for barbarians carnage and seeing how to duplicate that code into POE2? I really don’t know.... I’ll tell what though, if you were inclined to figure it out, I at least, would be the most grateful dude this side of Eora lol Btw thank you for replying sir, much appreciated.
  5. So I did a google search as best as I could and I came with this (link) : https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/114915-aoe-carnage-inficting-afflictions/ "Also check the "community patch Add-on" : Phenomenom has found a way to display Carnage AoE when attacking. It is not the solution to your problem, but might give you ideas about how to tweak Carnage." @Elric Galad I downloaded the a Community Patch mod, both basic and extra (link) : https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/335 It's installed successfully based on the notes and in game modifications working, but I do not get a visual range for Carnage when I hover the attack arrow over NPCs or Hostile NPCs. I've also initiated combat and see no visual range indicator for carnage. Ultimately my question is; Is there a way or mod that provides a visual range to carnage in POE2 similar to how it was in POE1? I would ask @Phenomenum but I noticed his activity in this forums seems to have dropped off. I know @Boeroer is always very helpful & insightful om these forums. Many thanks to anyone who can help.
  6. Because I'm not that savvy with computers...at least not as much as I would like to be. I can try to attach it, but honestly I doubt they are going to fix why my game crashes. I used to have problems on a prior PC that was only two years old. My current rig is not more then 6 months old and now out of the blue the game doesn't want to work. I can't tell you how aggravating this is. One wrong update of windows, a graphic driver or whatever unknowable thing happens and games like this just fail. Its sucks because they really have no support for this, beside the whole figure it out yourself way. I've read all the other threads started by people. Its one of two things, they either never get fixed or they have to jump throw a million hoops to find that *one random* thing that makes the game work. Seriously that is B.S. So for me when the game becomes unplayable (because it's unsatisfying to know I can never go to russetwoods for whatever stupid reason) it makes the game unplayable for me. Then I look at it like lost money and I look at this company as unprofessional & unhelpful. Why bother wanting to play POE2 if I know the same crap will eventually happen with that game in the future.
  7. Every time I try to enter Russetwood I get the following pop up message; Oops! The game crashed. The crash report named "2018-02-18_231146" next to game executable. It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game! Any help would be appreciated. 8. Bingo. This is PoE2 not a brand new game that exists outside of the PoE universe. It makes me nostalgic as to how seamlessly gameplay was from BG 1 to BG 2 and guess what no one complained! And it's a was huge success and commercial succes, so much so that even the dang EEs are fun and amazing. Obsidian spent all this time reinventing the wheel with PoE1 to be similar but different from the IE universe (and I thought they did a really awesome job) so I don't get why they are trying to seemingly reinvent the wheel *again* ?! Why there's nothing wrong with thier original system they developed in PoE 1 (all of this imo) they should of just added to the system (like how a part 2 is supposed to) not cut this core mechanic out here and replace it with new core mechanic now here.
  9. really? I actually liked PoE 1's health and endurance mechanic. It kept you from having to rest more often (which just becomes a spam rest fest that I don't really care for) it also imo made the constitution stat more appealing as well. I liked the injury to endurance loss to actual health pool system. It made sense to me at least. You were only then forced to rest one one of two things happened. 1) two many injuries and the risk of dying or 2) to little actual health. Kind of surprised by some of the responses in this thread. Also let's tone down a little on the hostilities here guys.
  10. If a player thinks they need to take a few general talents for their build, even that means they haven't pick spells, its the choice made by ppls, and they shall be ALLOWED to do so. I really don't think your argument is very persuasive/reasonable here. It might be a newbie-trap, but thats all. The very fact that PoE1 allowed for this build diversity and build choices at level ups is a testament to how well that system worked, how much depth it had, despite a few shortcomings here and there. Yeah I agree with you here. PoE 1 was a great system. I'm hoping that they have enough time to adjust this game back towards that system. I'm not thrilled about any of the classes right now honestly outside of wizards subclasses. There's to little diversity & power for single classes and for me most of the subclasses have too many penalties or restrictions that does equal out any real pros. PoE 1 was obsidian' corner stone of mechanics and gameplay to me, that I thought they would continue to use into the future. PoE 2 to me is almost unrecognizable to PoE 1 atm.
  11. This is what worried me the most. Your points are valid. This game is different and not entirely in a good way. (Though I'm not saying the game is bad, this is just constructive criticism) They trivialized character customizations regardless if you can multi class imo. Too many penalties or restrictions on classes & subclasses that just don't make sense. No general talent pool or crossover abilities. Everything seems tight. They re-invented the wheel with POE 1 enough to seperate then from baldurs gate. (Which I thought they did an awesome job) but now with a sequel aka (baldurs gate 2) type scenario they scraped what seems like the basic core mechanics they developed in POE 1. Why!? If your going to make a sequel or part two or whatever, keep it all the same. These guys have some work to do. But hey it's beta.
  12. I look forward to playing a ranger & barbarian multiclass. Would be cool if carnage applied to ranged weapons in Poe 2. It may not be op but I like it from an RP stance. In Poe 1 for melee rangers, I went 2h-sw with tidefall, choose the berserk cross talent. The dot from the sword worked well with the pet. Also ranger / cipher and ranger / mage I.e arcane mage might be pretty cool too. Really look forward to Poe 2
  13. Sorry if this a double post, doing this from my iPhone so bleh... One last question for you brother. As far as secondary damage goes, I noticed the in game combat log will say something like you did 28 damage, but if you hover the mouse over it, it'll show day like another 10 lash damage, and then 8 sneak attack damage. So the total damage done is not 28 but actually 46 damage yes? Just curious because I always notice the numbers over head are higher then what is posted in the log, but asking to validate. Thanks for your reply eventually brother!
  14. As the title says, the utility talents that effect damage to an element, do they also increase the damage of lashes on weapons? Thanks for the help!
  15. Having same problem as you. Game played fine two years ago and last year. Wanted to start back up again and the game randomly freezes anywhere from 1 to maybe 20 mins in game play if I'm lucky. Locks the computer up entirely. I have to do a hard reboot, Ctrl-alt-dlt does not work, nothing works except hard reboot. Really annoying as it makes the game completely unplayable. Sure as heck won't buy their sequel if does the same crap as this.
  16. Bump having same problem as op. Have tried everything that I can think of ontop of suggested fixes in thread. Game is completely unplayable. Graphic, motherboard, misc drivers up to date. Run game as administrator. Disconnect my internet, close all background applications. Uninstalled and reinstalled game. I have no clue. System handles everything else fine. I'm able to play mmorpgs and more demanding games then this perfectly fine. Absolutely baffled at this point.
