  1. I'm reading so many reviews saying how bugridden it is, meanwhile I'm at 45h gameplay and have yet to encounter a bug that I would notice. Maybe I'm blind and there's a ton of AI bugs and damage and weapon specifics but meh I couldn't care less. No major bugs is good enough for me for the release.
  2. I'm generally fairly bad at powergaming in these kinds of RPGs. Pillars 1 for me on standard was pretty tough at plenty points throughout the game. On the second and third playthrough I still found the boss battles challenging enough but due to increased knowledge easier than before. 15-20 hours into the sequel i had to switch from standard to veteran because it was too easy. I'm 30 hours in now so had a bit experience with veteran now but it still doesn't seem very challenging. I think had 1 fight so far where I got partywhiped (twice), I think it was Edit: I haven't bothered going anywhere that's more than 1 lvl above me (except for occasional enemies of questlines that were 2 lvls above me but that doesn't really count). Sadly, I didn't enable upwards scaling and now it's disabled.
  3. Why be pissed about this? Truly, even if you disagree with it, why be pissed? Were you betrayed? Did someone lie to you? Do you live in Bavaria? If you don't live in Bavaria why would you be pissed at something they do there? First of all I live in in the civil part of germany, so not bavaria. Secondly, why would it matter where I live at all? Can't I get pissed at pointless political propaganda misusing christian religion to "oppose" muslim imigrants? Maybe oppose is the wrong word but it's just about making a statement that our country has a different religion. On a sidenote, I hate all religions equally. Which is why it doubly bothers me because there's a freaking seperation of church and state and crosses have no business being enforced to be hung up in government buildings. There's already enough religious crap in germany like the troubles with abortions and such. I know it's just bavaria and not all of germany but it still pisses me off.
  4. Most people here are being fairly objective with this situation and the given (lack of?) information. Meanwhile you are treating Chris' words like they are facts throughout this thread. This is not a healthy way to have a discussion.
  5. I'll have a presentation due on May 16th which I will have to prepare for in the time after the Deadfire release but apart from that and the occasional class I'll have to attend at Uni I will pretty much be free to completely and utterly ignore my social and work life, lay low and sing small, disable Facebook and tell my gf to not bother me for a week.
  6. Royally pissed about the latest decision in Bayern (basically the Texas of Germany) that all official buildings will be required to have a cross hanging. I'd preach (ha) about seperation of church and state but it's obvious that this isn't a religious choice but a political statement to create a barrier (maybe the wrong choice of words, I'm not sure) against muslim immigrants.
  7. There's always gonna be flocks of sheep mindlessly trudging along. Or trolls. Or maybe people that can only live in extremes. None of it I could fathom to understand or even relate to. Come to think of it my comment seems harsher than I intended to but it makes me sad and angry to read about people doing a 360 because of 1 comment on Codex of all sites and not wanting to support a game (anymore) that they seemed to like. I think it's a phenomenon of our current culture or maybe I'm just overinterpreting but it really seems to me that these days there's only extremes anymore and no grey.
  8. In the following order (imho, obviously): Durance is the best companion, there's no debate possible there, even if you dislike him. Next for me is Edér, he has a lot of dialogue and is also a fun companion and available right from the beginning. Grieving Mother takes a bit to get to, but is written interestingly and has a lot of interaction. Sagani, while not having the most interactions and greatest story is one of my personal favorites as well and has nice interaction with Edér. If I tried to be more objective, I would probably have to rate Aloth above Sagani. Aloth has a pretty interesting story, but never appealed to me that much. In said setup a wizard would be pretty nice though and as I already mentioned he should be higher in my hierarchy :D That would be a finished party already. Have to leave an honorable mention for Pallegina, though. If you don't make a tanky character, she would be a solid choice as well (I'd remove Sagani for her). Hiravias and Kana Rua are on the weak side for me, although Hiravias has a couple fun lines throughout the game. DLC wise I can't tell much, haven't had Zahua in the party (hate Monks) and neither the Devil of Caroc (too late in the game). Maneha is fun, though and I'd rate her as high as Pallegina.
  9. Maybe they don't plan to make your chars actually hit lvl 20. Maybe it's just so that any future DLCs for the game won't have to raise the cap. Or maybe to allow mods or something, not sure there.
  10. I never had much excess money in my last run including both DLCs except for 1 point in the game where I had 60k and nothing to spend on. Basically in the beginning all the Stronghold Upgrades cost me money and later on I kept spending it on Potions and Ingredients..regarding selling stuff, I basically only kept around 15 items not in use (not including potions and consumables ofc.) throughout the game, so i really sold most of my stuff and still never turned up that big. I found handling money pretty alright, but then again I never had great interest in items in this game (sadly). I hope the sequel will have more standout items and less money so that you're not able to purchase literally everything ingame.
