That sounds like an expensive experiment heh. With a cracked FEAR it crashes on exit. I doubt a D2D version of FEAR would do that. I haven't tested it, but I imagine quite an outrage if it did.

Disc swapping is a hassle though, and the game boots faster without a disc. No-CD cracks are nice, but they tend to crash newer games, such as FEAR.

Well, you aren't technically allowed to share with your siblings anyways. Nor are you technically allowed to install on two computers. If that's a deal breaker for you, then I guess that's that. Naturally they have to try to do something to stop outright piracy. I've had a significant performance boost in levels like the playboy mission after upgrading my nvidia drivers to the 91.33 betas. The occasional crash stopped happening too.

Computer Gaming World used to be my fav. I now like PC Gamer better than CGW because CGW ditched the rating scale in their reviews. I mean WTF? What's the point of a review without a rating scale? A final verdict?
