This is what I've been saying for many many pages....

Here's another option, perhaps...you're stuck in an alternate KOTOR universe? Where Malak was good, and the Sith Lords reigned etc? ...thats a pretty wild option, but there it is. Perhaps thats your "mission" in the game, to get back to the "right" KOTOR time period/universe according to how you finished KOTOR I (Attons discussion with you in the beginning) In second thoughts, that would be VERY complicated to put into the game....

This is my bet. With all the comparisons to Empire Strikes Back, should it surprise anyone that the game might 'test' you by having you face off against people from your past (think 'Dagobah and the Dark Side cave')? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is what I'm thinking too - perhaps it's a test you're given by Kreia or something to do with training with a lightsaber, but then again...begs the question why Bastila is still there...considering she's "Dead" according to the game, but then again, so is Malek... It's weird...very confusing. I want to figure it out and/or be told why, but then again...I want to play the game and find out for myself. I need to stop visiting this thread (w00t)

I'm sure it's been stated somewhere that flashbacks and so forth were out of the question in KOTOR II as specified by LucasArts. ..in fact, I'm 99% positive...perhaps a Dev could shed light on that one for us, but something tells me the explanation for this screenshot MUST be a simple one, otherwise they wouldn't spill such a HUGE spoiler like that in an OFFICIAL magazine. ....me thinks we're being led astray somehow.... Yeah, the PC is holding the reb saber, Malak is holding the purple saber... .....for what it's worth, the people you're fighting (in that screenshot) look very similar to the people in the cut-scene in KOTOR I when you see Bastila take out Malak, and he kills them first (before her) Perhaps time-travel is involved somehow in this KOTOR, like you travel back to the past, to protect the future, or something - to change what happened between KOTOR and KOTOR II That would seem rather weird for a Star Wars series... What other possibilities would Malak have for being alive and good again at this point, unless he IS a force-spirit of some kind (given that Bastila is there too...I'm guessing force-spirit would be the only option?)

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that Lucasarts specified no "flashbacks" or "time-manipulation" or anything like that in regards to the game, it was in a developer interview somewhere I believe. ...and I said PRONTO DAMMIT...Pictures/review PRONTO!

I'd say being an "outkast" jedi, it's more than likely we have some connection to some famous ancient Jedi/sith... ....that aside, it could be merely just a chance to give the general "public" some backstories about the history before KOTOR and KOTOR II - since many casual fans (like myself) havn't read the prior books.

I really liked having Zaalbar as a party member in KOTOR, he was quite useful in many battles, given the right weapons...I usually used the wookie blade he got given and Ajunta's poison blade, and he kicked serious ass. Sure, you didn't have much interaction with him, but how cool was it doing quests on Korriban with a wookie by your side? It'll be great to have a wookie back as a possible party member, even if it ins't Zaalbar.

It's someone wearing a robe of some-sort behind the monster, and that outfit thing looks COOL!... ...looks like "your" character wearing the crazy robe and/or Disciple

Then he must be the grey skined shirtless Sith in the movie on the lucasarts sight. I didn't think it could be the masked Sith as in the painting he has a very healthy looking arm. If Darth Sion is the leader of the Sith Assassins, then is Darth ..... the leader of the Sith Marauders, and Darth ...... the leader of the Sith Lords? I like that thinking....one Lord for each of the classes.... One thing I'm interested in (as it's clear there will be plenty of "Sith Lords around") where in gods name are these guys coming from? Are they characters we know from KOTOR I? Will they all have backstories as to why they've taken over from Malek etc? I'm interested as to how they'll tie in with Maleks story....
