Nerdgasm: Movies and Shows for Geeks and Nerds
Not bad, but I'm getting a bit of a Fant4stic vibe from it. Mind, I also thought the teasers/trailers for that looked pretty good (all thoughts on the film aside, which I haven't seen but trust to be as bad as they say).

algroth replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)My guess is that Obsidian thenselves could have provided the footage too. But it's possible.- Josh Sawyer's tweets and teasers
algroth replied to AndreaColombo's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yo dawg, I heard you like your iso RPGs so we put an iso RPG in our iso RPG so you can play iso RPGs while playing an iso RPG?- Pillars of Eternity II coming to consoles!
algroth replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)More importantly I think, just because there's dumbing down doesn't mean it's dumbing down for consoles. There's plenty of room to dumb down for PC too. I'm against the issue of 'dumbing down' as a concept. Change is happening all the time and it has little to do with the intelligence of the players (regardless of prefered platform), It's the first rule in videogame fandom that any change invariably means the game is being dumbed down. It always applies. Always.- Josh Sawyer's tweets and teasers

Wow, you seem to hate clowns with almost the same intensity and passion with which I hate dogs. Almost.- Pets from PoE1
algroth replied to Samb84's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)They don't affect blocking or pathfinding, but yeah, most of them (with the exception of Concelhaut) are aesthetic only.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - NOW IN 5$ LOOT BOXES
Not sure if this was posted before, but this dude just compiled a 500+ book on the history of CRPGs, and posted it for free here: https://crpgbook.wordpress.com/2018/02/05/update-19-crpg-book-released/ It's a pretty good read even if I disagree with a bit of what I've read so far.- Update #44 - Making Pillars II Gorgeous
Have you imported your pledge from Fig onto the Obsidian site? You should be able to do so through the "Manage your pledge" tab. I have the same issue and just don't see a manage your pledge tab on Fig. See if you can enter here: http://eternity.obsidian.net/backer/pledges- Pets from PoE1
algroth replied to Samb84's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)What I reckon will happen is that Eothas will form an immediate bond with the miniature giant space piglet upon waking up, will proceed to take it and hide it where no mortal would ever dare look. He'll then inspire us all by charging blindly on through the Deadfire, while soul-syphoning for goodness. Someone will remark hearing in the distance the following words: "Animancy is impressive, but now EOTHAS LEADS! Rebirth for everyone!"- Update #44 - Making Pillars II Gorgeous

It feels like a MCU trailer. Whether that is indicative of the film itself, we'll see, but I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm not very convinced at all.- Update #44 - Making Pillars II Gorgeous
Where wizards would have grimoires, they have LP record folders. They're also weak against dank spores.- Update #44 - Making Pillars II Gorgeous
Only if you turn on the particle fade settings. Otherwise it's raving in eora. I now propose they add a new feature into the game: if particle fade settings are off, Xoti will shuffle dance to a mysterious beat emitting from her neon-glowing lantern while in combat.- Posting A Funny - The Thread

- Who is Mirke?
algroth replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Rip Mirke. Died before she was even announced.- Update #44 - Making Pillars II Gorgeous
Did you use St. Ydwen's Redeemer to redeem it rightly? Does St. Ydwen's Redeemer have a screw-on pommel?- The Movie Thread Returns
One of my favorites with him, actually, and easily the best I've seen from Oliver Stone. A great conspiracy thriller. Also, no way could it be the worst when you have Love Ranch there as well.- Who is Mirke?
algroth replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Another option is that she could be a Calisca-type character, recruitable for a brief mission or section but otherwise not really a sidekick/companion?- What's on the idiot box?
Young Sheldon, yeah. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6226232/reference It looks insufferable, but then again I feel the same way about the main series.- The Movie Thread Returns
