  1. For those hoping to get 1 & 2 as a bundle.. This immersion breaking bug still exists on 1 for Linux & OSX due to shroud being broken on these platforms.
  2. Use this in your launch options for Arch Linux Steam for PoE II SDL_DYNAMIC_API=/usr/lib64/libSDL2.so LC_ALL=C %command% It's better.
  3. You mean to tell me the ps4 version has no cloaks either? Damn, they really need to replace Shroud and do the work needed to fix the game on the rest of the platforms. It's no excuse when cloaks are broken on Linux, Mac and consoles.
  4. https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/unity-game-engine-54-released-linux-builds-now-updated.7742 New version of Unity is out (5.4). Lots of changes that makes it better for devs especially pertaining to Linux.
  5. Unity has a built in cloth renderer right? http://docs.unity3d.com/540/Documentation/Manual/class-Cloth.html Why not use class-Cloth instead of using a 3rd party one like shroud? After all, it's not like cloth physics in Pillars of Eternity are extremely complex? I mean i'd say cape physics in Shadow over Morder would be more complex and that was done using Havok Cloth which allows it to run fine on Linux. If the game engine natively supports it, that should be what's used to render cloth on OSX and Linux. Having the ability to see the cloaks is better than not having it tbh and you can't wait for shroud. Heck, shroud hasn't had an update in 3 years! It's only a matter of time before the plugin has issues on Windows too. To help devs, Unity should be more clear on their plugin pages. Clearly state which version of Unity is required and what platforms are supported. Also should clearly state if the plugin is in active development or is dormant. That being said, can devs give us an update on this? I mean i paid a mean price for PoE. Almost full! I'd love to be able to see some cloaks come out of it. I'd say the same for OSX users although i'm a Linux user. Waiting on shroud is not gonna work for Obsidian tbh. Not now and not any time soon.
  6. I'm actually one of the gamers who didn't know about the kickstarts. My exposure to Obsidian was via PoE and i picked it up for close to full price on Steam. I run it on Linux which is my main platform and it's amazing. Such an immersive story. Thank you for supporting it on Linux and giving your users many more options than just a proprietary and locked down platform. As long as you guys make games for this platform, i will be supporting in kind by purchasing your games and playing them! I hope to catch your next kickstarter campaign to show my support.
  7. This works for me.. to enable AA on PoE for Linux. Nvidia proprietary driver - [user@test ~]$ nvidia-settings --query=fsaa --verbose Attribute 'FSAA' (mars:1.0): 0. Valid values for 'FSAA' are: 0, 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14. 'FSAA' can use the following target types: X Screen. Note to assign 'FSAA' on the commandline, you may also need to assign 'FSAAAppControlled' and 'FSAAAppEnhanced' to 0. Valid 'FSAA' Values value - description 0 - Off 1 - 2x (2xMS) 5 - 4x (4xMS) 7 - 8x (4xMS, 4xCS) 8 - 16x (4xMS, 12xCS) 9 - 8x (4xSS, 2xMS) 10 - 8x (8xMS) 11 - 16x (4xSS, 4xMS) 12 - 16x (8xMS, 8xCS) 14 - 32x (8xMS, 24xCS) Using mode 9 gives me a pretty good quality of AA. So in Steam, under launch options for Pillars of Eternity, i set __GL_FSAA_MODE=9 %command% Credits to uoou - https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/30dysl/pillars_of_eternity_is_ready/cpsp0hr
