  1. Found the option in the Catalyst menu. Was under display properties. I'm blind not to see it earlier. Wasn't a game issue afterall.
  2. I am able to select the 144 Hz option when booting POE in Windows 7 but not in Linux. On the same exact machine. I dual boot. That's irrelevant. Linux is completely separate to Windows, having Windows report it works doesn't have any relevance to Linux supporting the same functionality. He is asking you to check in Linux if your Linux O/S reports your computer setup is able to do 144Hz, if Linux does not report that it can do that than I won't expect the Linux version of the game to be able to detect something that the O/S can't detect and magically get 144hz support. You likely need to mess with drivers or something under Linux, I dunno, I don't really use it, I tried Ubuntu for a short bit though. I'll test other games I know support 144 Hz on Windows that also run on Linux and see if any games other than POE don't give me the 144 Hz option.

  4. Are there any plans to bring the 144 Hz refresh rate option to Linux ? The Windows version of POE has it.
  5. I feel like I should be getting better performance than I am. I am usually between 40-50 FPS but get drops down to 30-35 sometimes. I am trying to figure out if it's a driver issue, an issue with the Linux version of POE or something else. My CPU usage rarely gets as high as 80% on a few cores and when it does my FPS is fine. My entire RAM usage doesn't go above 2.5GB. I am using the latest driver for my GPU. I got better performance from Crysis 3, The Witcher 2 and Far Cry 3 which in my opinion should be the more demanding games albeit I played those on Windows. My system has the following: AMD FX-8350 @ 4.5 Ghz | 12GB DDR3-1600 CL10 | Club 3D Radeon R9 280X 3GB | OCZ 128GB Vertex 4 SSD | Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit I have played the first little bit of POE on my Windows 7 partition and the lowest it got was 72 FPS which it was only at for a few seconds. The rest of the time it ran between 85-118 FPS. I will also note that there was support for 144 Hz on Windows while Linux lacked that. I'm not sure yet if this huge FPS gap had anything to do with Linux being at 60 Hz or Linux just not getting as much love from Obsidian. I don't think Unity is to blame though.
  6. If you must make me choose I will pick plot. Games with great story are what I am about these days.
  7. I don't mind the addition of co-op but what i don't want to see is any parts of the game where it feels like it was designed specifically for co-op. I will be playing solo so I don't want it to feel like Dead island where solo play was an afterthought.
  8. I would like to see you gain the first few levels quickly to get you a taste of some better skills and then start slowing it down from there.
  9. I would be in favor of fog f war. I think it adds to the fun of exploration and can add tension.
  10. I would say that 30 FPS would be the console standard, not 60. The odd console game does 60 but most do 30.
